Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type SONIC Drive-In in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on SONIC Drive-In application icon. A window of SONIC Drive-In will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the SONIC Drive-In icon. Click on it and start using the application.

    I downloaded the app because my local sonic was advertising “Happy Hour All Day” if you order/pay thru the app. Sweet! My first order took quite awhile to figure out for a half dozen drinks for coworkers. I was unable to locate soda-slushes, one coworker requested a Dr Pepper slush but had to settle for a regular Dr Pepper since that menu item wasn’t in the app even though the local store makes soda slushes all the time. (Maybe they aren’t universally available? Who knows). The check out process requested I buy a Sonic card and set it up to auto reload. I’d rather pay as I go but that wasn’t an option. Oh well. Set it for the smallest amounts and smallest reloads. Next time I ordered it was for my family. Couldn’t find Wacky Packs to save my life, am I missing something?? I asked the manager at the store and they didn’t know either. Weird, I KNOW all Sonics have Wacky Packs right?? Asked if I could tip thru the app and was told no. That makes me sad—I will totally order thru the app for convenience but I hate there’s no built in way to tip my server. What I DO like—the app is laid out well and is easy to find what I want (unless its not in the app that is!). I like how easy it is to edit and I like that I get rewards for using and reloading my card. Ironically my most recent reward was a wacky pack which I still can’t find in the app! Lol
  • Can’t even access my acct/ unhelpful customer support

    EDIT: Don’t get your hopes up for continued use! After speaking with Sonic customer support, it is clear they are contracting with a company and have zero control over the app. They don’t tell Sonic why accounts are deactivated, which is what has happened to mine. The deactivated accounts cannot be re-activated and I refuse to create another email account just for this ridiculous app. There is 1 star because at least one star is required. I’ve been using the app for most of the summer. There have been issues, but they were easily fixed. A few days ago I attempted to add money to my gift card to make a purchase (which is a whole different issue). It kicked me out of the app right as I confirmed the reload. I opened the app again and was asked to login. My email and password were not accepted. I attempted to reset my password several times, but I never received the email to do this. I even tried to login from a PC. When I emailed customer service, I included an outline of the steps I took. What did they do? They told me to do all those same steps as if they hadn’t read my email. Talk about not listening to your customers. What a waste of time. Many of the reviews on here are good- just wait and see. I will call them, but after reading some of the other reviews, I don’t expect to receive good or competent customer service.

    So I’ve downloaded the app and I’m trying to figure out how to get the coupon for the Free drink if anybody can tell me how to do this I would owe them a drink.. OK I have figured out how to get the coupon for the free drink for downloading the app but when you click redeem it says to show it to the carhop when she shows up well in between her showing up in the 40 minute wait for my order,,, somebody called me and guess where the coupon went???? your guess is as good as mine.,. Because you can’t simply tell the carhop you we deemed the free drink from the downloading of this app you have to actually show them and once you’ve redeemed it you can’t pull it back up which is pretty ridiculous because if it happens to go away then you have no way to prove that you were trying to redeem it...thank goodness there are no bugs in the food because this place wouldn’t be worth coming to... but the food was great LOL.. Also the nearest sonic portion of the app never showed me which sonic was close and I’m fortunately there were three different ones in the town I was visiting so to get that fixed that would be great too. But stay positive you guys will get it...

    I love using apps to order food at fast food places, but this app has a very serious flaw that will prevent me from using it which in turn will prevent me from visiting Sonic as much as I might ordinarily. I may be completely wrong about this, and if I am, I will gladly edit or delete this review. From what I understand, I have to add my credit card and then purchase a prepaid Sonic card. Why can’t I just add my credit card and pay as I go from it? I haven’t seen any other place do this. I live in Chicago area and have the Portillo‘s app on my phone. It charges my credit card, I don’t have to buy a prepaid Portillo‘s card. I work in a hospital and sometimes get food for my coworkers. I couldn’t even decide on a reasonable prepaid amount. One visit I might use $10 for myself and the next could be over $50 because I’m getting food for several people. Is my understanding of this is correct, I won’t use the app to order at all, and my visits will be less frequent than other places. I can’t speak on how the rest of the app is, because I can’t use it with the payment method the way it is.

    Doesn’t have any info about how it works. Guess you have to be in the know which I wasn’t. Didn’t see any way to place an order or to pay with phone. Only thing I saw to do was buy their card hoping I could then place an order. Don’t see any point in letting them know where I am (slot drive thru or window) if I’m ordering when I’m already there. Maybe they have different mobile methods available at different locations??? I ended up giving them my credit card info to buy their stinky card with a minimum amount them was unable to purchase anything without going to the store first to ask because mid afternoon on a week day my local store never answered the phone. I’m sure I won’t be able to get a refund and I’m just plain frustrated. Maybe this is how they make money — channeling folks into buying useless cards????? Well I’ll go there and spend the full balance and NEVER GO BACK. NEVER EVER EVER NEVER. Which is too bad since I’m new to my area, the location is great, and the menu sounded delicious. No previous experience with Sonic and now I want nothing to do with them. Short version is the app works great but doesn’t do anything useful.
  • Needs a ton of work

    First of all, the reward redemption process on this app is terrible. You can’t even redeem the rewards because by the time you try to, by tapping “redeem” it has disappeared. Try telling the employees you have a reward that isn’t visible anymore...most of the employees don’t know how to use the app anyway and make it seem like it’s an inconvenience that you want to pay with the app. Their lack of knowledge on the app / payment system isn’t fair to customers who have loaded money on to the app. I was told that I had to use my card because the girl didn’t *think* their store used the app...I asked her to find out for me, she did, and she was wrong, so someone else helped me out. So I would have essentially paid $40 for $20 worth of food since I loaded money on this app. Also, I have been told that if I had say $3 left of the app and I wanted to pay the difference with my card to zero out and never use the app again I can’t do that. So I cannot ever have a zero balance. I keeps prompting you to add more to cover your purchase and then some. I don’t want money on the app! I want to zero out and be done with sonic!! Blah.

    Before the update, however long ago that was, the app worked great. I could immediately get on it and know exactly the balance on my sonic card, and while I was in the drive-thru line I could reload it if I didn't have enough $ on it to cover my order. Since the update it does not maintain my balance. The balance it shows is always the amount after I reload the card, it doesn't deduct my transactions from the balance...the transactions are all listed in the transactions tab, but not deducted from the balance shown on the card page. This is very frustrating because I don't have time to sit there and try to figure up what my balance is based on the listed transactions, so when I go to pay for my order I find out that I do not have enough $ on my card and then have to either use a different form of payment or reload the card and then use it. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! I just want to know my balance please.

    Get with the program people. No one carries around cash? Not even needed for toll roads anymore. You have have the ability to use state of the art technology & you “could” update your software. I was told that y’all had problems over 10 years ago. Wow! That’s a long time ago. A lot has happened since then. Please allow your employees to get tips by credit card through either the app or on location. Pizza is usually paid for in advance. And customers have the option to add on a tip upon delivery of food. So seriously, y’all have no excuse & your employees may stick around longer & be happier for it. And y’all are not even having to pay them more money, the customers will be glad to do it. It’s a win win win. And there will be smiles all around. You’ll see... Don't be a Scrooge when you don’t even have to be. The more you give, the more you will receive.
  • Pointless app - paying with card is much easier

    So many reasons i stopped using this app. The "card" system is confusing and complex for no reason (loading $x amounts then having it reload if your balance isn't enough). That makes it impossible to see when you really purchased food vs were reloading the card. I often got stuck paying $25 to load my card for just an $8 order. The worst time that made me say "enough": had to reload my "sonic card" to place an order... but the cashier mixed something up and had to restart the order, and the app lost track of me being at that stall. It then was impossible to pay by app, so had to pay again by direct credit card!! So sonic that day got about $36 from me for a $14 order; and of course i had to go back to empty my card balance. And there's no ordering capability from the app itself?! and employees on site have no clue how the app works, can't help with any of these issues, etc. It is just way simpler to insert a credit card and be done with that order. The app causes more problems and solves none.

    I think the app does what I expected it to do minus not having a order ahead feature. Works great and I like the ability to get free stuff just for paying through the app. I do wish I could tip the carhops though! Maybe add a feature where we can select our carhop’s name and leave then an electronic tip. Otherwise, they just never get tipped because a main point of paying with the app is to not have to carry your money. Just a thought! But like I said, app works fine and has great potential. Update: now that they have added the order ahead feature, it’s awesome! The down side is my favorite drink to order is a Vanilla CREAM Dr Pepper. It there is no “real cream” option when ordering ahead. I feel like that should be a simple fix and should be an option since it’s offered at most locations. Also, I still cannot tip. Really wish this was a feature.
