This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install CapMetro on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.

Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

App Reviews

  • Great app, needs more features to be perfect

This is a great app if you are using the Metro. You can buy fares, look at schedules, and find where buses are located. Some suggestions...There needs to be a way to add a paper ticket to the mobile app. I get a paper ticket through my company and I wish I could just transfer it to my app so I don’t have to hold on to the same pass for a month. Also I wish it gave you notifications on when a bus is about to pull up to your stop. And...a way for you to keep track of where you are along the route and it tells you what stop is next. This would make it easier for new riders. Just a couple of suggestions. Overall a great app!
  • Wow this app is awful

Cap metro, please re-make this app. The experience for a local as well as an out-of-towner is frustrating, cryptic, and unhelpful. The only part of this app that I was hoping to use was the schedule, but it was difficult I understand, glitchy, and totally unhelpful. I want to be able to see how soon a particular bus will arrive at the stop closest to me, so that I can walk outside and catch it right on time (or be out there a few minutes early). Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to use this app for that, as the schedule feature is impossible to read or understand or navigate. It assumes I am familiar with every route in austin, rather than only being familiar with the stop close to my house. Please fix this, capital metro, making the busses easier to use will get more people using it than your weird bus ads.
  • Confusing, cryptic, contradictory

The trip planner told me to take a bus that was going the exact opposite direction from my destination. After the bus driver explained the problem, I tried to navigate to a new stop, only to find the map integration was barely functional. When I finally reached the new stop, I checked the next arrival time -- 30 minutes away. I walked a minute away to get out of the sun while I waited and was passed by the very bus which wasn't supposed to arrive for half an hour. CapMetro's strength continues to be its bus drivers, who are kind, considerate, and good at their job. Unfortunately, everything else, including this app, is its weakness. It gets two stars because the sign in integration was decent and it did allow me to buy and use a bus pass.
  • Useful, but slow & crash-prone

    By BL in KS
Sooooo slow to load, and 7 times out of 10, it crashes before fully loading. As others have mentioned, you have to time the display of your ticket just right — do it too soon & it will probably sign you out right before the bus arrives; if you wait until the bus pulls up, you will probably keep people waiting while the app loads or you sign back in. On the plus side, it’s easy to buy passes once you get your account set up, and the trip planner works pretty well. But I don’t usually use the app to check schedules— I have Safari bookmarks set up to quickly get to the routes I frequently ride.
  • Austin cap metro rocks!!!

    By Dennis says:
Hello everyone, by and large- if you ever want to meet some of the most friendly and helpful bus drivers in the whole country- just hop onto a metro and ask for assistence. I recently moved here, and was very dis-oriented at first because of the continual cloud cover. These bus drivers helped me immensely. They need to put official tip jars in the front of the bus- thats what needs to happen- i would put spare change in there everytime!!!! Thanx Dennis H
  • Lag on startup with iOS 12

    By o0db0o
Since I've updated my phone to iOS 12 the app lags on launch preventing me from accessing my ticket for several seconds. Also my wifi cutoff while buying the ticket (even though cellular was on) and it said to confirm the error and I wont be charged twice. It bought two tickets instead after confirming....better than a wasted charge though. Please fix. Other than that, app is very convenient for bus tickets.
  • What happened?

    By Nzjdjdjdjdbdkdkdosns
It used to be so easy to find the schedule and map for my route because it was broken up by the ride (rail, commuter, etc). I now have to type in or scroll through every route on every line to find what I need instead of being able to just click rail. The schedule for the rail used to be much easier to read and more compatible for a phone. These updates make the app harder to use
  • works okay, but needs an update!

    By Emably
Using this app is easy enough, but it is beyond slow. It takes a while to load up tickets, and that's not only unfortunate for people rushing to load their tickets, but it becomes increasingly frustrating when this app doesn't update with the same speed our phones or their software does. An updated version with increased speed would be my #1 choice!!
  • Motion-ease

    By Mike_Adventure
The CapMetro app is pretty cool. It could be a little more intuitive, but accessing tickets, schedules, and keeping information on the homepage makes the commute super simple. Access in an Apple wallet would also be cool. I love the app! No cards needed and purchase on demand. The live predictive map is pretty awesome.
  • Barely adequate

    By yaro obba
Confusingly storyboarded. You can get the system map (which is helpful), and trip planning works if you know exactly where you are going from where you are, but none of the rest of it is intuitively laid out or reachable. Might be useful for locals who use it all the time, but visitors will be all at sea. Doesn’t accept Apple Pay, and requires an account to pay online.
