Don’t fall for this app and their promise of try before you buy. I thought I’d take it for a test drive to see if it was worth my time. I entered payment info, with the promise that the first week of use would be free. Within 24 hours I could tell this wasn’t the dating app for me. People contacting me who were young enough to be my child (not into that!) or they were 500 miles away. I’d expressly put in the settings and filters that I was looking for a non smoker. That did nothing. I would put in restrictions on distance or height, yet I would only get the teenage smokers that were 5’2” and from the other side of the country. I finally had enough of this experiment. I deleted my info, said no thank you, and uninstalled the app. Fast forward to my bank statement, and despite me going through the process of no longer using Clover, they still charged me $30 for their service. Beware. Even if you remove your credit card info, unsubscribe, remove your profile, and delete the app: THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR APP STORE ACCOUNT. What started as a three day experiment turned into a $30 charge, and now I’m wondering if they’re going to keep taking my money each month. I can’t block the AppStore from my bank, because I use it for everything else. I can’t block Clover directly, as they have gone around and taken my money through the AppStore, despite me canceling their service. Avoid! Don’t get screwed over.
  • I loved it until...

I loved the app when it was free and people who liked you would swipe right, but it’s better when it’s free. Then when you think that you can get more people if you buy the membership and you can talk to more people. But most of those people don’t even check their messages and your sitting there why did i spend like $30 for a single month and have nobody talk to you. It’s a great app when your not connected to Facebook because it just fills you in with false advertising and people who say that they are single when by the time you message them they don’t answer or respond back to you because your ugly, not attractive, judge you by how you look, or based how your profile states and it’s annoying. Like your on there for a reason why not give it a shot. Get to know that person and that person would get back to you and say I’m not single, or I’m too busy with school and i can’t be looking for a relationship but talk to others and still is logged online. I’m a guy but everyone on here just uses you and uses excuse after an excuse to not actually talk to you. All of the dating apps are like that, i don’t want to buy into a membership if nobody is going to talk to me. You know, why spend the time and money to try something out if nobody is going to chip in too!
  • I don’t like the people but I like the app.

Everyone there doesn’t seem to have a clue what it is to like someone. There’s even a certain person who was offended because I was looking for a certain type of someone. This is a dating app. Everyone knows that when you want to date someone it’s because you find that person desirable. I’m a Hispanic/Latin white American woman who has a particular style of living. People on this app just like you because you look good. I’m not looking for that. I don’t think people understand that dating apps ask that you fill in information and that there’s a reason for that. I feel like people are not paying attention to the information added and are just lusting over pictures. I reported a man that seemed to be bothered by the fact that I would never date him or other men who commented toward me from the Live Mixers and it just irritates me that he’s still there commenting as if he’s better than me. I really hope your team decides to eliminate the people who don’t get the point of dating. You can’t just date anybody. Thank you for making this available for me. I don’t know where you can improve. I think people just need to improve their lives.
  • The best free dating app...with flaws

I had to update my review since they just changed the app’s function. Clover is basically useless now to people who don’t pay $30/mo. You can’t like anyone’s profile, send messages or do anything but browse. If you have a profile and a paying member likes it, you can chat. So guys who want to spend that much on a dating app and a few hot young girls who had all the guys blowing up their inbox with offers before are unaffected and the rest of us get the shaft. It sounds like Clover sold its soul for greed. I have used it for a year and frequently recommended it as one of the best dating apps, but there’s nothing to do now but delete my account and leave a 1 star review. Considering Ok Cupid is free with most of Clover’s features and $10/mo for the upgrade, there’s no way I’d pay $30 for Clover, and this is a slap in the face to all the people who have been respectful users in the Clover community since the early days. It’s basically worse than Tinder now, and Ok Cupid, which seemed like the gutter a few years ago, takes the new lead in features offered for the price.

I switched phones and had to make a second account. I thought I could try the free seven day trial again, turns out, since I have the same Apple ID that was not the case. It asked if I wanted to do the free seven day trial and I hit yes, then it automatically subscribed me to the monthly membership with the thirty dollar fee. On top of that, my app wasn’t working and wouldn’t let me access the membership functions. So I emailed them about my problems asking if I could get a refund and they said you can’t do a free seven day trial twice. I emailed them again and I didn’t get a response. I created a new email thread and again, they answered only saying I can’t get a free seven day trial twice. Again I emailed them asking if I can get a refund or at least fix my app so I can use the membership services and they haven’t replied. I’m just going to give up on trying to get a decent response from them, just annoyed that the app told me I was getting a seven day trial but it automatically enrolled me in the monthly membership.
  • “Premium” is VERY overpriced.

I think this app is all around great! It’s very well laid out, simple and easy to use. There is one big problem though - premium. The premium features are almost a necessity for this app, without them I feel like I’m missing out on a lot, but I’m definitely not about to THIRTY DOLLARS A MONTH for it. No way. That is ridiculous pricing! Netflix is what? Like 8 bucks? And let’s get this straight - this ain’t E Harmony, you’re not being matched through in depth questions about your characteristics, interests, strengths and weaknesses. You’re swiping left or right on a face. It’s not worth $30 A MONTH to be able to chat with someone. And the pictures are super zoomed in, you have to tap them and enlarge them to view them the right way which is inconvenient as hell. So, fix the price, fix the pics, 5 Star app. I’Lil be waiting :)
  • Useless and overpriced premium

The app has been updated in March of 2018 and is basically unusable now. The UI design has been getting worse with wasted space, bad layouts, and circular photos. But the most recent changes have made it worthless. You can no longer view your matches or who has liked you. I've been on the app for over a year and I have had almost zero response from any women. Over 90% of the profiles are around 2 years old and haven't been touched for a long time. Only a small handful of profiles are actually active. It's pretty much a ghost town. Of the profiles that are active, none of them respond to likes with a match. They either ignore you or block you. The premium features are not worth the extreme price they are asking for. They are just bleeding desperate people for money. On the plus side, the app doesn't require Facebook like every other dating app out there.

There are moderators on here who will "test" you by rpetending to be into you, exchanging numbers, maybe even Skype or Facetime with you, but they will be weirdly vague and ambiguous at times and try to play games with you to see how you react. You're NOT allowd to be yourself, and even cuss someone out. They will have your account instantly deleted, which is funny because they're pretending to be "real" profiles, yet when you try to email their center as a normal un-privileged non-moderator person, you have to wait days sometimes week for a response from their support team. I don't recommend this app because all the users are controlled and they only match REAL people after a certain amount of time. Obviosuly if they matched everybody with real people all the time then nobody would be using their app ;) it's so genius, it's a scam. -_-

This app is just another developer taking advantage of this horrible plague on society called online-dating. Having forums and groups is a great idea but it’s done very messy. You are having conversations with 10 other people. Just like all of online dating, there’s no depth to interaction. When will people realize swipe online dating bad for society. E harmony and match do it right and I have no problem with them but this and tinder, they are all the same. People are only able to try and find a suitor based off 1 sense, sight. Huh....I wonder why everyone in America is so superficial nowadays. I get matches on these apps but they all go the same way. Please stop making these apps. You people are the problem with society today. And if you think there’s not a problem, well...I wish I lived in your world....

It’s a good website however too many profiles on here (including pictures) are fake not the actual person who’s reaching out you. I’m not saying there are no legitimate folks on here. I especially want to fore warn many the most popular scam on this website seems to be the Military scam. A handsome guy will reach out to you and as it turns out he’s deployed out and serving our country . Look away ladies they are Nigerian scammers. And even those which may look legit sometimes are also Nigerians trying to phish for your personal information. Keep an eye for the poor English grammar spelling errors not just small typos. And above all they use these common pet names : hon, love , sweetie and dear very freely and immediately. And they will rerun with new pictures however the account will have a new name so just keep an eye out.
