App Reviews

  • School App

I’m having the same issues with this app. I’ve been getting emails for months telling me to upgrade and I have but still the emails come. I even called the B.O.E. asking if there’s anything else I need to do. She said,” No, when you click on the update its automatically updated”. Apparently not. I guarantee they hassle my son at lunch because of their own glitches. I also find it a disgrace to pay a fee every time I add money. Lunches are expensive and they don’t get much for teenagers but as a working mother, and no refrigerator for home lunch at school, there’s not much choice. It’s a wonderful convenience when it works and a hassle when it’s not. Another thing is I bought gym clothes for my son last year and because the teacher didn’t know how to put payment thru for gym clothes, he got angry, told my son to get the cash after it was taken out of my account, then gave him a zero for the day for not being dressed for gym. I was flipping out.
  • This is a joke!!!! I am highly disappointed with this

I have to pay a fee every time I deposit lunch money in my child’s elementary school lunch account?????? Lunches are expensive as it is and it was free to put money in his account last year!!! And I have another child in high school who doesn’t eat school food and has money I her account and I have no way to transfer that money to my first grader???!!!! Even if I could I’d probably be charged a fee for that too!!! Parents are being robbed constantly of their money as it is from schools it’s money for something constantly. I can barely make it with 3 kids bc everything is so expensive everywhere you turn and I won’t be using this App or the online version of my School bucks ever again!!!! I am beyond unhappy about this!!!!! This is a rip-off and robbery!!!! Really sad also bc of the convenience of the app.
  • Clunky, not well developed

    By mr_pugliese
I’m getting ready to have a second child in the same school and I’m told I cannot move money between the two different accounts which is a nightmare. I also find it ludicrous that there is a processing fee to add money to the only way my child can buy lunch. That is a scam. There are many times where my payments don’t go through for some reason or I get messages saying I need to update the app but it’s showing as if I have the most recent version. This app is clearly an afterthought and I wish the school district would abandon it. Having an app that does this is great I just wish it wasn’t this one
  • Why a Fee?

    By Turnip's Mom
Why is there a fee to use this App? Not only were the lunch fees increased which I don’t mind at all .. but if I have to upload my 6 year old son’s account with $50 or $100 then the fee for each transaction is more than the cost of 1 lunch. To avoid this fee, I have to send him in with a check which I don’t find to be safe - if he loses his bag pack or the check with my sensitive information, if he forgets to bring it to the cafeteria. I’m all about saving & convenience. I find the App very convenient but I don’t think I should have to pay to upload funds to the account each time. Also, I’ve downloaded the latest version of the app but I keep getting emails to update. Come on, get it together. Focus people.
  • Good App, but.......

This app runs smoothly and has done so for the past couple of years. I just wish, we had the option on moving the funds between the children in your house hold, there are times when you may be a little short on cash but one child might be completely out of lunch money and another child may have plenty. It would be nice to be able to move a few bucks from one child’s account to another. Just a thought.
  • BAD Accounting System!

    By Nosgaber
Their system is FLAWED because it does not have the capability to credit an amount that was mistakenly charged to you. So, if a child care director billed you a wrong amount, and you paid it already, those paid charges will not be reversed or be credited back to you (I know! It’s crazy). I have never experienced an accounting system that does not credit their customers back their money or the money that they owe the customers. In conclusion, this is an awful app with an awful system! It is designed to screw up the customers real bad! And the sad part is - I have no choice but to live with it and stuck at transacting using a bad system.
  • Good functionality

App seems to work well for me. I suspect the service fee is school district specific. We were charged at first but last year it was dropped. I would agree that shifting funds between kids & a better record of deposits would be nice but overall it’s great to get notifications that the acct is low, be able to see what my kiddo is eating, and be able to add funds digitally.
  • Convenient but needs improvement

    By offshoregirl98
I love the fact that I can pay for my son’s lunch in such a convenient way. What I do not like about this app is that I cannot see the history of past payments made. There have been times when I feel like the school may not have kept track of what my son owed accurately and I tried to go back and look at my payment history through the app and could not do it. I strongly feel this feature should be part of this app.
  • Make it free or make it work

    By Gatorina
App can’t find my 2nd kid so I still have to pay for his lunches with check/cash at the office. Additionally, the final payment confirmation page on my iPhone 7 doesn’t fit my screen so I can’t scroll down to see and I have to just tap the top sliver of a green rectangle I assume to be a “confirm payment” button. All of this would be fine but then I apparently have to wait 1-2 business days for money to post and I get charged for all this hassle. Seems easier to delete the app and bring a check in to the secretary.
  • Great, but could be better (couldn’t everything?)

    By Jrram494
I really like the ease of use of this app. It’s easy to manage my children’s lunch funds. I do wish you could move money from one child to another. Or, even better, if children are in the same school system, just have one large fund they all pull from. Other than that, I have not had any issue. It’s convenient and so far has never let me down.
