We know not every student learns the same way and at the same rate. Dynamic Study Modules assess your performance and activity in real time. They use data and analytics that personalize content to target your particular strengths and weaknesses. And, because we know you’re always on the go, Dynamic Study Modules can be accessed from any computer, tablet, or smartphone! To use the Dynamic Study Modules app, you must first enroll in a Pearson MyLab or Mastering course and access the Dynamic Study Modules from within that course on your computer. How Dynamic Study Modules work: 1. Dynamic Study Modules present study questions, delivered in groups of 6-8 questions for short bursts of learning to keep reduce fatigue Even though you might not have studied the material yet, recent scientific findings demonstrate that the process of asking and answering questions first actually triggers the brain to learn faster. 2. You are asked to indicate how confident you are in your answer with our unique answer format. 3. Each question provides real-time feedback without immediately disclosing the correct answer, heightening your curiosity and concentration and increasing the production of long-term memory. 4. At the end of the question set, information that you need to review or further study is broken into the individual concepts or ideas associated with each question. 5. You’ll cycle through this adaptive process of test-learn-retest until you achieve mastery of the material-- personalized learning tailored to your individual needs. You can learn at your own pace as the Dynamic Study Modules adapts to your knowledge base. 6. Once modules are complete, you then have the option to go back and review your answers or refresh your knowledge by clicking the review button. Students who do refreshers show significant gains in knowledge retention and can recall concepts more confidently at test time.

App Reviews

  • Terrible.

I put in the wrong password (my bad) but the screen it took to me to give me options for resetting it or contacting customer service didn’t have a back button or a way to get back to the log in screen so I had to delete it and reinstall it once I changed my password on my computer. Fine. Great. But when I finally got in, it had my old chemistry book in there and nothing else! I was sent to the app in the first place by the “other resources” tab in my Spanish class, not much of an additional resource if the only thing there is a book from a class I’m not even in anymore. There isn’t a search feature or some other way to find my Spanish class, it’s just the chemistry textbook. And what good is that anyway? That book was the least useful thing in passing Chemistry in the first place. Reading the dang thing on my phone certainly wouldn’t have been useful either. Thanks for nothing, Pearson. For how much your textbooks are you’d think you could come up with a halfway decent app.
  • Over a year of login issue

How is it that so many people have issues logging in on the app but clearly have access to it on the website. I am having the same issue. I have a class that is using mastering engineering and I have access to it but can’t login on this app. Why is this still a issue? I even tried using their website they provide to contact if there’s an issue logging in and it says the site has been disabled. Talk about a serious issue for such a “credible” company for education. I would stop using them if it wasn’t for my professor wanting to use it. Can’t even put a little effort into helping their customers that pay thousands of dollars over the course of their college days.
  • iPhone only

Not sure why you wouldn’t optimize an educational app for iPad but they didn’t. If you’re using an iPad you have the option of the app either only take up like a 1/3rd of the screen or stretch it so it’s super pixilated. Plus as of now the app hasn’t been updated in over a year so I doubt they’re working on fixing it With how much textbooks and MyLab codes cost it’s ridiculous they aren’t supporting this app. I’d really prefer to use this on my iPad than on my phone or computer but I guess I’m the idiot shelling out hundreds of dollars either way so who cares right ***update: I just tried to use it on my phone and it’s not even optimized for plus sized iPhone. Absolutely ridiculous. Fix your app.

I just installed this app on my iPhone for my Spanish class. I used the login that I use for my online course without difficulty. I was able to review some of the current content for my class. I didn’t give it 5 stars because within just a few minutes of use, I found a typo in one of the answers. The word “más” was omitted from the answer which was supposed to be correct. There is no way to report errors like this, which is a little frustrating.
  • Seriously unhelpful

This app would be fantastic if the year was 2016 and a younger more enthusiastic me was studying his little heart at in Biology class. Unfortunately it’s 2018 and I’ve already failed bio twice. It would have been a more helpful app if all it did was just flash the words “enough with the keg stands, please for the love of god just open your book.” All I wanted was my A&P book on my phone but the only book it thinks I have is the book from my bio class two years ago, there’s no way to find my current book and the app is just stupid. Maybe in two years when I’m taking A&P for the fourth time I’ll be able to read my textbook on the train.
  • Two right answers but one was wrong

While testing for a module, there were two answers that were the exact same. No difference whatsoever. Both were spelt "responsiveness". Only thing was, one was considered correct while the other was incorrect. So I then spent 15 minutes going back and forth attempting to guess which one was considered correct. That's pretty poor planning. With how much money this company makes from students, you'd figure they would at least have a decent Dev team. Please FIX YOUR APP.
  • It Works

Not sure about all the other reviews. Maybe the app did not work in the pst or people were not familiar with their login information but the app works fine and I encourage everyone else to give the app a try again if still in anatomy courses or if you still have access. I love the app and it even continued from where I left off on my computer!
  • Great study app on the go

I really like being able to continue studying while I'm out and about. Waiting for appointments, on the train or while having coffee, my chapter is always available. I feel like I'm not sacrificing my studying while still living my life.
  • Works fine for me

I don't know why others have trouble logging in. I had no problem. I went through two modules and I find this to be useful. I recommend it. As far as logging in, I used my email associated with my school and the password I use on the Pearson website. No trouble.
  • Can’t scroll past picture

Great idea and cleanly organized. Logging in was simple. But in the module questions I’ve come to a pic and cannot scroll down to select answer. Now I have no way of continuing. I can’t answer or move past this question. Also, the module info continuously scrolling at the top of the screen is very distracting & obnoxious.
