  • Problems with emails again, please fix now!!!!

    By Tara2188
When I get an email it doesn’t show who the email is from. In the notifications it should only show who the email is from not the whole email in the notification. This needs to get fixed like now. I am sick of emailing you guys about this issue and nothing gets fixed. It’s ridiculous. This is affecting my job cause I can’t see who is emailing me in the notifications. You guys give the same answers every time I write an email/ review. The app was fine before you guys did all these updates and made it horrible. I’m sick of it. This needs to get fixed. In the notifications I need to see a name on who the email is coming from. Don’t give me the same answer you guys always do, just fix the problem. Please fix asap!!! Do you guys even read the issues people write? Because it doesn’t seem like it. Again this needs to get fixed!!!! I shouldn’t have to do this crap with my mail. It was fine and you guys messed it up.
  • AOL mail update stinks!!!

    By RickDeMars
I have had compuserve mail for many years. Never noticed any differences with the merge into AOL. Loved getting email on my iPhone. Loved the AOL mail app for many reasons. It was fabulous! The last update made it a real P.I.T.A.! Every time I turn around I have to log in again. I spend more time logging in than I do communicating! In the past, I logged on once and it was active till I logged off! I expect to be required to log in on device that is public, and love the auto log out on those devices. But my personal iPhone, with finger print login to use it, I have no problems with others logging into my email. I don’t care a lot about others seeing my email, but I appreciate the auto locking features of public devices, but on a finger print locked device, why make it a mandatory feature? As a plea to AOL, please either go back to what it was, or add an option to let the individual choose! As it is, I am going looking for an app that lets me stayed logged in!
  • Love AOL after all these years

    By AOL4Life
I’ve had AOL since it first started. The features I like are the ability to make folders and store emails. Another cool feature is that you can maintain an email chain history with multiple emails just like in Outlook and still leaves the original emails in tact. Gmail doesn’t do that and it’s a nightmare to keep an email chain. Gmail will pull the original email in the chain and make it part of it so you have difficulty finding it again. Outlook basically copied AOL but added the features that AOL’s owners never bothered upgrading to. I gave AOL 3 stars because the search feature on the iPhone fails me most of the time and always in a critical situation. AOL, spend some money upgrading your product.
  • Since Day One

I and my late-husband had been with AOL since Day One (He was first generation computer cowboy) and AOL was just coming on the scene. We started with AOL at the beginning. We were with them for what seemed like forever and then later I went to Yahoo thinking that it would be a newer upgrade of technology—and I got hacked. I wrestled with the hacker for two years and finally just said Take it and I went back to AOL. Then two years after that my bank account started getting hit due to the former yahoo hacking. So since going back with AOL I’ve been fine. I’ll have this email address till I drop! ;)
  • iPhone Review

    By Jabbic Jabur
I like the news feeds and the short articles. However, the app is very unstable when using on my iPhone. It jumps around a lot. It seems because the videos want to run whether you choose to watch the videos or not. When the short clip videos are done, it seems it makes the entire arrival jump back to the beginning when the video starts over. It’s a bit frustrating to have to scroll all the way back down where I left off because it jumped back to the beginning of the article. Also, I’ve noticed lately that many of the videos don’t have anything to do with the article. Kind of weird.
  • AOL forever...

My very first email account and access to the Internet was through AOL. Same for my husband we’ve had our accounts for I can’t begin to tell you how long! Best part about AOL is the EASE with which you can move from the various sections from email to the news and so on. Yes I have other email accounts but I always go back to my AOL for news, updates for my email and for my business as well. Have never regretted my choice of AOL and recommend it to everyone when they get frustrated with their email and news. The best ever!

  • Fine for a while

I had this app for a couple of years and had no problems. Recently, for whatever reason all of my old mail was deleted. Some of these were items I was saving. AOL was never able to tell me why they were deleted. Fortunately, they were able to retrieve the lost mail after several emails and spending two hours on the phone with tech support. I deleted the app and checked my mail online. I tried downloading the app again and once again my old mail was deleted. I found out soon enough that I was able to retrieve and save my old mail
  • notification sound changed?

By showtimes used to be good

It changed somewhere if not in the app itself - but cant find that same guitar chord sound in IOS settings either. Which sound setting does AOL app use exactly from IOS when email arrives and what is the name of guitar chord sound that was orig used? thanks just tryin to restore it! >>orig review>> used to have a guitar chord sound which would distinguish - now uses shared iphone std sound as some other events and cant locate how to set it back to preferred orig sound...
  • Expected more!

I’ve had AOL since high school, so we’re talking about 20 years or so. I’m very disappointed that the links from the emails only open into AOL‘s own web browser, I don’t feel that my passwords are safe there. Also every time I want to search for an email it comes up empty or not found. When I used the Mail app on iPhone I could always find the email that I was looking for. Now that I was forced to migrate everything over to the AOL app I’m severely disappointed because I can’t find old emails and thinking about closing my account all together and moving it to gmail. Also when I add a signature on my computer it doesn’t transfer over to my phone emails, but in Gmail it does.
