App Reviews

  • .Would love a MacOS app, please!

Boom works well from my phone. The size is right given I’m on the road a lot. The sound quality is pretty good. The battery stays charged a long time. Overall I’m pleased with the product. The one big improvement I would love to see? The ability to use it from my laptop so that I can play all the music on my iTunes, not just the limited music I have on my phone. Won’t you please be the first in the potable speaker industry to have a laptop or PC app instead of just the phone?
  • Great product and good software

I frankly don't understand the poor reviews this app gets. Looking at the negative reviews, there's clearly some technically challenged issues. So perhaps the app is trying to do too much. My experience is the app works great. Unless you're trying to link multiple speakers, you don't even need the app. If you're on a Mac, you don't need the app. It's a BT device, configure it. I have a Boom II permanently linked with my Mac. Its dependable and works fine.
  • Works as it should

Best update to date. The old versions of having an app for the Boom and an app for the Mega Boom was frustrating. Since this release I’ve updated everything and renamed all my speakers so I know what I’m connecting to and everything works seamlessly. I have 5 Booms and 4 Mega Booms and have no issues connecting them all together and partying up to get them going around the whole house.
  • Missing battery saving feature

    By Slaughter17
In the previous version of the app there was an option to disable the feature that allowed users to turn the speaker on/off via the app. Turning this feature off increased battery life TREMENDOUSLY (despite the claim enabling didn’t affect battery life much). I would charge my Boom 2 before the update maybe once a month. Now, I have to charge it once every 2-3 weeks. PLEASE allow me to choose whether I want to enable/disable this feature.
  • newer isn’t better

asu usual, something great gets taken away. i loved being able to turn on my Boom 2 and Mega Boom from my phone via the app. well, that’s no longer possible since the new app and Boom 3 release. also now i’m having connection issues with my Mega Blast. it connects via bluetooth, makes the audible sound, but disconnects when i open any app to play music. it looses the connection and won’t recognize the speaker until i reboot it. i have a Boom 2, Mega Boom, Mega Blast and a Wonderboom. loved them all... but now i wouldn’t recommend UE to anyone. lost the key features that made it better than its competitors
  • Won’t work after update

    By Gerrik71
**updated October 14, 2018** there are now firmware updates for computer. Once I did these and deleted app and re-added it works again. Customer service was terrible in process and if I had listened to first three emails I would have tossed it out. Thank you to Mary C.!*** My speaker stopped working after I did recent update. This is bs. Funny thing it was fine before. You guys need to fix this.
  • No auto power off

    By Stercreator
This app was perfect for me initially but ever since the update my speaker doesn’t turn off automatically. It was nice because I could just stop playing something on my phone and not worry about opening the app or going to the speaker to turn it off. Now it just stays on all day because I forget to turn it off. Please bring that feature back
  • New update ruined this for me.

    By TruDood
For the longest time I have enjoyed waking up to the alarm feature because quite simply there has been no better way to wake up than to the music of your choosing on a very nice speaker. But unfortunately it was for some reason removed and now i can’t wake up to the nice sounds of my own playlist on my speaker that I payed for to have a reliable alarm clock and music player, but instead wake up to a very gross sounding iPhone 5s speaker. It is a feature that is very missed to me. I mean seriously, the Shrimpy UE speaker that is named after a piece of bread can still utilise alarms and the more robust and expensive one can’t? I mean at least make an app called UE alarm that can support all speakers made by Logitech and can set alarms for you.
  • Speaker Name Doesn’t Work

    By HighTechToid
Speaker name doesn’t work. When you change the name it says you have to forget the device. The problem is that when you do that it won’t re-pair and re-pairing has been an issue with this brand for years from what I’ve seen. So, in short you can’t get the name to change successfully. Not a great first impression from me. I had to keep resetting the speaker to re-pair, which of course erases the name change.
  • Can’t manage multiple speakers except in party up mode

By A fun way to learn
Only the last speaker I used appears on the list to turn on a speaker. This makes it impossible to turn on different speakers around my house with the app. Of course, I can turn on all the speakers with the party up, but I don’t want to do that except on rare occasions. Really painful since my kitchen speaker is in a s tough to reach place.
