  • Worse than the commute itself

    By imma stahome
It’s as if they chose the user experience by dumping all possible function ideas into a hat and deciding what the interface should be by pulling one out to use for each part of the decision tree. No coherence, no consistency between utilities and certainly no direct or intuitive path to get to what you need. Can we make a two step process six? Let’s do it. Should someone type in a destination or scroll through 70 towns to get to a schedule? Scrolling takes longer—lets do that! You want a schedule? Going to need the origin, destination, travel date and departure time and only then will we give em the next two departure, forget about an actual, you know, schedule. From top to bottom it’s like Torquemada went to the technical career institute and this was his class project.
  • Favorites delete if not enough space when downloading a movie!

    By Pass don't buy
Now with IOS 11 Favorites are deleting every other day! NJT fix your app to protect saved favorites! 1 year ago wrote Was about to catch a bus. Decided to download a movie before leaving home. Checked my favorite list for bus time. Bus in 15 min! Ok let me download movie. Selected and hit download.. Sat for a few seconds and come back with error. Not enough room on device. Selected ok... Went to check favorites to see about bus and ALL my favorite were gone! Ran to bus once on added 2 routes to list. Then tried download movie again. Same error checked favorites and again they were gone! App developer rewrite to protect favorites.
  • Par for the course on NJT

    By Photog63
Such a poor user experience but should be something NJT could get right despite the poor service on the tracks. The APP does nothing to scomodate any customization and greedily grabs the screen brightness on my iPhone by jacking up the brightness whenever my ticket is activated! Especially not welcome when my battery is low! Seriously? The train schedule feature is clunky, slow and should be something that allows for higher levels of user customization, but doesn’t! Would someone please look at the countless other rail apps out there from around the world and just “borrow” some of there ideas? Don’t try to reinvent the wheel when everyone else has already figured this out. Years ago!
  • Buying tickets on this app is awful

    By DJ Burnt Toast
Purchasing bus tickets is really really confusing. You can only buy tickets by inputting beginning and ending points if both are stations. Otherwise you need to somehow know what route and zones to use. The only way I’ve been able to use it is to find the route number I need from google maps, then use the trip planner part of this app to figure out how many zones I’m going though (base on the cost it tells me) then I can purchase. Purchasing tickets should not require this much work. I should be able to input my starting and ending locations and then purchase tickets for the best route regardless if the closest pickup points are stops or stations.
  • QA fail

    By saynuk
I had an account with this app and enjoyed easily getting tix electronically, then my account suddenly stopped working. I tried to login and it said invalid user/pass. So I went to reset. It said email does not exist in the system. So I deleted the app and it’s data and downloaded again and tried to create a new account. It said email already exists I. The system! So it simultaneously thinks I don’t exist, though I have used the app before with this email, and tells me I do exist, but it can’t help me reset password because I don’t exist. I entered a support ticket and it’s been over a month and I’ve still not had a response. This app has so really big bugs and should never have left QA like this.
  • Broken but necessary

    By The Space Baby
The app is functional, but features are either broken or buggy. Turning up my screen brightness is necessary, I get that. But not setting it back when closing the app means my battery dies quickly. Being able to check when a bus is arriving at any stop is an excellent feature, but my saved stop get deleted at random. Also, what’s with the ads? I pay over $100 per month to NJ Transit already. At least give me the option to pay a premium for an ad free experience. I look forward to not having to rely on this app ever again.
  • Lack of bus routes to buy tickets

    By koolhunk4
I travel on bus 600 and have been using GO25 bus route tickets for 1 zone. But today I was stopped by the bus driver and asked why the color of my pass does not match with the others. I have tried everything possible in the app to look for route 600 to buy tickets but it’s just not available. I buy the tickets everyday so I don’t have monthly pass to this route. Can anyone or the developer itself answer my concern?
  • Did this app ever work?

    By Hooseahmagomewatsi
Is this app still even being supported? The last update was 11 months ago. I just started using this app and have been running into all kinds of problems. For example, had several occasions where the app couldn’t contact the mother ship for bus route information. Every time this happened, all my favorites disappeared and need to be reentered. Think NJ Transit needs a better app development team that actually checks the app before distribution to the public. Get used to the message, "We're sorry. We were unable to process your request at this time."
  • Saves me a lot of time and stress

    By Gabe
I use this app very specifically - to buy tickets to an from the same stations. It’s extremely fast and does just what I need to do. I can have completely gone through the entire process within 15 seconds. I don’t use any other functions of the app, but this beats waiting in line at the machines for tickets by a long shot.
  • Crashes and freezes a lot

    By Akklein85
This site makes you sign in each time even if your credentials are saved, creating an extra time consuming step every time you want to pull up a ticket as the app is slow. It also crashes a lot or, like today, stopped letting you purchase tickets completely. This caused me to miss my bus. Also the bus arrival times are inaccurate and you can’t purchase tickets for all bus routes. The only reason that it got two stars is because on the rare occasions it works it’s convenient.
