Using Everbridge on your Windows computer is actually very easy but if you are new to this process, you will definitely need to pay attention to the steps listed below. This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install Everbridge on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .
Personally, I recommend the "B" option as Bluestacks is very popular so if you run into any trobles using it, you can find good solutions on Google or Bing (lol).

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use Everbridge for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Everbridge in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Everbridge application icon. A window of Everbridge will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.

App Reviews

  • Nice Idea

It was a nice idea for an app until our city started pushing every single alert through Everbridge. Even though I had my quiet times and alerting methods set I was still receiving alerts in every possible way at all hours of the day. 2 am in the morning phone is ringing, text messages being sent, and app notifications all at once for every single alert that was sent. Severe Thunderstorm warning, flood warning, high winds, lightning strikes It got too much so I deleted my account.
  • Has potential, but...

I agree with Crispy0827 -Jul 11, 2015. The app desperately needs a way to delete all old messages and should automatically remove alerts when they have been resolved. At least provide an "Edit" item in the to bar, like most other apps, to let us select items in the list that we want to delete.
  • Needs update

When I initially downloaded this app a few days ago it was working great and showed where the wild fires were happening and the red flag warning. Today the highlighted areas for fires are gone and some highlighted areas have an expired date. I’m sort of confused. I’ve been up to date with the news so I’m not sure why nixle isn’t updating anymore.
  • Notifications are useless because they don’t include descriptions

The notifications don’t have any descriptions in them, so all I get are like fifty daily notifications that simply indicate that “something had happened somewhere” and then in order to find out what it is I have to go into the app, wait for it to load, and click around a bit. So I don’t bother. I’d rather just get sms messages.

As a parent of college students, it would be nice to be able to receive notifications from the areas where my children attend school. Since those schools are not in the same area as our residence, I cannot them. I will be uninstalling the app. Nice try. I’m sure some government employee decided to give you a good chunk of my tax money. Good for you.
  • Lack of message management tools - too many accounts

So I have three everbridge accounts - work and two local jurisdictions - one where I live and one where I work. Message streams are utterly indiscriminate, I can’t filter for location, mass delete, or merge message streams (and mass delete). So, barely useable. Most times I will ignore the notifications which is exactly what these emergency managers want to avoid.
  • Not much help so far

Downloaded the app and registered. The list of alerts looks ok; no way to tell if it’s up to date or not. The map of alerts is way off showing alerts for Carpinteria, CA, somewhere on the islands off the coast; all the alerts I examined nearby were for the Thomas Fire but were wildly out of place, like many miles north of Santa Barbara on the coast.
  • There should be push notifications but none are sent.

I get winter weather and flood alerts in my email through the website I registered with, but notifications are all on and no alerts come through the app and nothing is listed on the map for my area.
  • Good for phone, Watch would be perfect

This App works well in our use, though a Watch app would be incredible now that cellular is becoming the new norm.
  • Notifies. But crashes.

Clicking on a notification always crashes the app. Cannot bulk delete previous notifications. But it notifies which is all I really need it to do.
