  • Horrible Audio... Horrible

    By Eddie Corbo
I’m blown away at how many people say they think the audio is good. Technically, the audio is crap. If you look it up it is one-third the quality of a normal mp3. That is literally the same quality as a payphone. On top of that, they add effects to remove the background noise. This actually makes your voice sound worse, not better. By removing any noise, it also removes parts of your voice that make it sound clear. In fact, the only real time you want to remove background noise is when there’s lots of noise happening in the background. Like at a baseball game, or a crowded street. But if you’re having a conference in those environments, you shouldn’t be in a conference. Instead, Zoom places all the attention on that possible situation, killing the clarity for the situations where most people use Zoom: In a quiet office. Zoom. Please, please, please improve the audio quality. You advertise HD Voice, but the quality is abhorrent and unlistenable. You are doing your customers a disservice. Otherwise, it’s a great app.
  • Audio with AirPods is static and hurts ears of other hosts.

    By NebraskaJer
Hello, I have been using this for years and it was pretty good until the recent version. I use the AirPods and they have been rock solid. All other apps work fine and audio is great. I use these AirPods with all meetings and lately I can’t join and talk because it is pure static and hurts the ears of other attendees. Please help me fix this. I have restarted the phone. I have repaired the AirPods and checked for update. I have tried for everything. Nothing is fixing it. When I pair my AirPods with the computer it works fine and sounds ok. Still like a low quality phone call but no static. So I know it works with zoom and not just me. So on macOS it works perfect. Please fix this. Only issue is with zoom app and iPhone X with AirPods when I talk. Please help out. One star now as app is not useful. I guess I could use speaker phone but what is the point of that. Ugh. It is so frustrating. I have had over 5 meetings now and all of them I have to be muted or it is scratchy and screaming in the ears of others. Please come up with a fix fast and I will rate this 5 stars. Unusable now. Sorry. :-(
  • Extremely reliable, consistent, never an issue during a webinar

    By Greeknurse
I highly recommend ZOOM. I’m connected @ lightning speed- within 10 seconds. It’s the most reliable & user-friendly meeting platform I’ve utilized (I’ve utilized so many). It’s very user-friendly as a presenter & attendee. It’s very seamless to transfer your presentation from your iPad, laptop or computer. The HD visual clarity, outstanding sound & volume are to be commended. I did note a few comments regarding issues with these aspects. It seems like those issues could possibly be related to something on the user’s system. I’m very impressed that ZOOM’s Developer Team responds to their user’s issues & reaches out directly to the end users to resolve the issue(s).
  • Worst presentation app ever.

    By Teddy the singer
Over 500K customers huh? Is that how many people downloaded the app and then uninstalled due to it restarting their phone or iPad or whatever device they are using, also, it not functioning right, crashing, making other apps crash while you try to present, etc? Also, if over 500K customers use it business-wise, why are there barely any ratings? I have a pretty good idea as to why there is less than 1K reviews. They were of the truth. Please do not waste your time with this app. Keep searching, because if you use this app, your device will most likely have some issues after using it. Personal Experience: I downloaded this app yesterday to confer with some friends and they experienced issues with it, as well as I did. I experienced the issues above and they did as well. So, nice app if you’re looking for your device to be messed with by this app.
  • Good but needs some improvements

    By Raj_Bose
Overall this is a very useful tool. I have no issue with the audio or video quality during most meetings. I do think though that there are some areas where there could be some improvements. For example it is still not possible to initiate a audio only call without having to login to the app. Sometimes I just want to have a quick conference call I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting into the app to start a meeting and then waiting for people to join. Another thing that I found is that it is quite slow on my iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 11. Is this a known issue? Sometimes it takes forever to get the audio settings up so that I can dial in via phone and I’m just hanging there. Please help!
  • Wish it had better CarPlay support

    By Bobalatate
I use this app all the time to take conference calls at home and the office. I often need to take these calls from the car as well. Zoom has a nice “safe driving mode” feature that lets you “tap to talk” if you dock your phone while you drive. I recently got a new car with CarPlay, and was surprised that the Zoom app icon in CarPlay doesn’t work the same way. Instead, when you launch Zoom from the dash, it launches a voice prompt asking who you want to call. It’s a worthless feature. I would much rather see a list of scheduled meetings. Once a meeting is launched, it should work just like the “safe driving mode” on the phone and let you mute, hang up, etc.
  • Best Video Conferencing on the Market

    By MWL in NYC
We have tried almost every other platform on the market for our Association's meetings and interactions. Zoom is by far the best and continues to remain state of the art. We use it 3-4 hours per day for spontaneous meetings, scheduled meetings, and eSeminars. The HD quality and audio are excellent and the interface is incredibly user friendly. In addition, the ease of scheduling a Zoom meeting via Google calendar makes this a highly useful tool for collaboration. I would highly recommend Zoom!
  • Very very close!!!

    By tchaten
The app is very close to being great. It needs to support the 12.9” iPad Pro, it also needs to support split screen (I know the camera can’t be active when this is in use) - but I conduct a lot of meetings that don’t involve the camera and would like this now core feature of the OS. I’d also like some way to have access to the QA and webinar info while I’m doing the screen share from my iPad, I’d recommend enabling some way to use a second device to be in use to monitor this info. Great overall app and service, but frustrating in a few key ways.
  • Increase Productivity and Decrease Time-wasted!

    By WaterskiRob
Zoom’s iOS app is lights out! It allows me so much flexibility to meet clients, friends and family because it’s the most lightweight, intuitive, and user-friendly communication app on the planet. No app is perfect just like no technology is flawless. Some of the reviews that do not paint a favorable picture sound like the users have not really tested the app. Rather than take my word or someone else’s, just download, test, and compare with what else is out there. There is nothing close!
  • Yay, Zoom!!

    By Hercules78044
This is the best app ever! I mostly use it in education group settings but will also use it in one-on-one settings to communicate directly to an individual. I like that we can share information on the web, or share files for example. Sometimes I record and when I do the app works perfectly. I’m pleased that so far I’ve not needed to use an extra set of headphones. I’m looking forward to future updates but as of today this is the best app around.
