This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install Lyft on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .
Personally, I recommend the "B" option as Bluestacks is very popular so if you run into any trobles using it, you can find good solutions on Google or Bing (lol).

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use Lyft for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Lyft in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Lyft application icon. A window of Lyft will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Lyft icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Hope it was not too difficult? If you have any further inquiries, contact me through the "Contact" link at the bottom of this page so I could help You. Have a nice day!

  • Lyfts Consideration to Getting Back to Customers on Issues

    By BurnMamaBurn
I started using Lyft through my family. They referred me, and even though they never received referral fees, we still continue. At first rides would come as stated; example, if it said 2 minutes, they would come in 2 minute. Then as time went on, we start to find drivers stating a time, and some would come almost 10 minutes later. Imagine this, because remember that when you are waiting, the clocks ticks, and you must be there without delay, or its cancelled and you are charged. Ive had many drivers, and recent too, say they arrived, when they had not. Ive had drivers come with the cleanest cars, and lately with dirty exterior and interior. When riding the line, being patient, they will stop to get the other person, even though you are waiting, and then drop them first, landing me much later to my destination. Ive had drivers drive fast, almost going through lights, and looking at their phones while driving. Not acceptable. So, while many of this concerns may just be the way life is i guess, and mishaps i must be understanding to, and maybe I'm still even learning how this all works, my ability to reach Lyft immediately, or get a call back, or reply to my concerns, to me is a major concern, poor business, and pretty inconsiderate since I've been using the service consistently for months. Maybe a little consideration in trying to fix this please. Thanks so much.
  • Quick ride within minutes!!!!

I would highly recommend Lyft.. the drivers are so efficient and nice. Taking a lift is a lot more reliable then taking any other taxi each drive gets you as close to your destination as possible. Lyft drivers are always in the area the app is reliable and frequently updates to make sure it’s users are getting the best experience I will always recommend Lyft over a regular taxi. All drivers keep the cars clean and well organized, they also find the quickest routes around the city to get you to ur destination in a timely fashion. Just last week I took my first Lyft and I absolutely love it. Taking a Lyft is a lot cheaper and every car is eco friendly. Lyft prices are at a fixed rate at first glance and after you request the ride the price stays the same it does not change due to traffic or stopping to pick up other people. Lyft share allows you to share re ride balance with the other passengers sometimes Lyft will send you discounts or just apply them to your rides. Your very first Lyft is FREE !!! Lyft Inc app development team has created a very reliable app that as soon as something is noticed to be going wrong they fix it right away!! The team release a new update to the app as soon as they fix the problem I am very happy to be a Lyft customer.
  • Bad service and a no show driver

    By Ang ❤️'s you
I started using Lyft last year. I have recently returned to using Uber. I have had a handful of bad experiences using Lyft. My first bad experience was when I was in New York. The driver who picked up my sister, nephew, and I from the airport was very rude. He told us we had too much luggage and had to give him the cost difference between a Lyft and an UberX since he had an big SUV. We all had two bags so 6 pieces of luggage. I went and got one of the Airport security guards to help us understand what was going on and to let us know if we needed to order an Uber. The Lyft driver then said he thought we had more people with us. My sister is super nice and still gave him a $20 tip. The next bad experience was in Chicago. I was outside waiting for my Lyft and they left me. I never saw them pull onto the street I was on or leave. I tried calling, but got no response. Lyft was responsive to my complaint and very nice. They gave me a $10 credit which was nice. I decided to try them again two weeks ago. It was a Friday evening and I was waiting outside for my Lyft. She never showed up. I tried calling and texting and she didn’t answer. I wasn’t able to order another Lyft because she didn’t cancel the ride until Sunday evening which was two days after I ordered it. I couldn’t contact Lyft over it because “Sophia” didn’t show up in my ride history. I’m unsure why that is? Anyways I’ve since went back to Uber and will stay away from Lyft!
  • Wasted time and money

    By ShanelleA26
I've been riding Lyft everyday with the exception of one or two days of not riding, since last year. Most days I ride twice . I've seen so much of what's wrong with their service . Lyft drivers sometimes try to get a cancellation fee out of customers , they pick you up later than mentioned on the app( I do understand traffic etc but if it's over 30 mins at a time and place where there is little to no traffic , there's no excuse), I've been late to work so many times , no matter how early I schedule the ride , I've had drivers on the Lyft line not notice they have someone else on the line and had to turn back to go pick them up after almost reaching my destination, which once again , I'm late . Lyft has no loyalty to loyal customers either . I usually spend $10 each way per day, for about 5-6 days a week, since July 2017, and yet they don't even offer a frequent rider discount( Lyft can check my history to verify) . Not even 5% off your ride etc . Now I know I'm not the only one riding Lyft as much as I do , and I know there are people that spend more as well, but seriously , if Lyft notices there are customers that still stay with them , even after all the crap the service puts us through, don't they think they should offer something like that ?They also need to consider having a customer care line because the feedback link is not much help. Seriously deciding on deleting their app and spend my money on a service that cares about their customers.

I’ve never used this kind of service before and I was a little leery, last night was my first time writing with them. They are incredible! I am legally blind so they were very helpful, kind, polite, friendly. They got me to where I was going and more, they even help me to the door and inside. This is a service that needs to continue to be used, especially by those with disabilities-visually impaired/blind. This is a very incredible, important, untapped resource that needs to continue to be used. It’s incredible and a lot of other people should be using this. Last night, I paid under $20 for around trip. It’s incredible, if you would try any other cab service they would charge you even more than that. Their rates are extremely fair and since they have projects going on you’re not wasting your money at all. It’s also very incredible and awesome that they’re also doing the round up, which is where the rounded up to the nearest dollar and the difference will go to a charity of your choice. You can even write it off as a tax deductible, most of them will tell you if they are or if they’re not. I’ll definitely continue to use their services, I’d also recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.
  • Order process more confusing

    By Than Davenport
I’ve been using Lyft for about 2 years now and it’s a fantastic service. The latest update has done wonders for the graphic identity of the brand and it looks especially good on my iPhone X, they’ve done a good job of integrating the notch into the design that makes the whole app feel purposeful and user friendly. One thing they changed, however, and have made much worse in my opinion. They changed the order sequence from ~dropoff lovation>pickup location>size select and confirmation~ to ~dropoff location>size select>pickup location and confirmation~ this has made the buying order process much more confusing even for an experienced Lyft rider. The final order screen should always have the approximate dropoff time and the expected cost on it, in my opinion. With the latest update the final order screen simply asks you where you’d like to be picked up and honestly this makes no sense to me. The last purple button before you’re charged doesn’t even say “order Lyft” it just says “confirm pickup” which has led me to accidentally order a Lyft when all I wanted to do was check approximate times and charges for a Lyft I would be taking later in the day. I think if this aspect were changed it would round out the app perfectly and make it deserving of 5 stars.
  • Ride Scheduling System is Unreliable

    By Caramelatte
I’m almost satisfied the Lyft app, however, requesting a ride can be so difficult for me. About five times a week, I need a Lyft to get me to my SAT tutoring session at very specific times. Initially I tried scheduling Lyfts in advance. The scheduling system is horrendously unreliable. Most of the time, drivers arrive way too early, outside of the pickup window I requested. This is inconvenient for me because my destination demands a punctual arriving time. On one occasion, I had to pay a cancellation fee because the driver waited too long for me (note that the driver arrived way before the scheduled pickup window). On the other hand, drivers plan to arrive later than the pickup window. I’ve had to turn away drivers because they were too far. My pickup window would be 15 minutes away, meanwhile, the driver would arrive in 30 minutes... As of now, I can’t even depend on scheduling. Whenever I feel like it’s the “right time” to schedule a Lyft to take me to my location, I just press the ordinary request button. Unfortunately, the calculations of ride time and scheduling are now projected onto me, which makes this feature very inconvenient to use. I have to get to a location that’s 30 minutes away, but instead I have to request a Lyft over an hour in advance.
  • Almost perfect

    By Jerricio
If I could give four and a half stars I would. The only reason for a half star off of five is because how their scheduling works. I travel nearly every week for work and I really enjoy the convenience of Lyft to the airport (about a 35 mile ride). Since I am usually leaving the house around 3:30 am to 5:30 am I schedule my ride the night before. The problem is I never get a confirmation that a driver has accepted my route until about 10 to 15 minutes before they pick me up. Every driver has indicated that they accepted my route the night before, so why was I not notified then? I’m not looking for the specific drivers name or make of car, it would just be nice to know that a driver has accepted. Why this is important: Recently Atlanta had forecast of possible icy conditions around the time I would be leaving for the airport. But up until about 15 minutes before I was to leave I had no idea if any Lyft drives were actually working (which would be completely understandable given the weather situation). Had I been given a confirmation when the driver accepted, a lot of anxiety could have been avoided. Please update the app and procedures and I will be happy to give it five stars.
  • Future Rides

    By Runnerguy45
Have clear instructions and work flow for customers trying to schedule future rides. Honestly, it used to much easier to request a lyft for a future date. With the current home screen and user face, it’s hard to see the “schedule” touch point and doesn’t flow well at all. When I’m scheduling a future ride, I want to make that clear first thing, up front, immediately...not be lead on a scheme to accidentally request a ride for “right now” and have to pay cancellation charges. It makes lyft appear a bit shady. Uber has that title. Please revert to customer friendly, simple app services and not try to trick anyone into anything...I use lyft bc I trust it more than Uber. That trust has severely wavered with this recent update. Also a huge downfall: not having an immediately accessible service team. I needed help bc my app updated in the middle of scheduling my ride to the airport 24hrs in advance and, again, I could’t figure out how to request future ride in new update. It was imperative and down to the wire for me to request lyft and the time kept creeping forward (it wasn’t allowing me to request my trip any sooner than exactly 24hrs in advance somehow). I tried to talk to someone at lyft to no avail. I am a loyal customer and hope this message is heard! Otherwise back to old school taxis and I am your target market millenial!
  • No Easy Way To Solve Technical Problems

    By Stranded in Sylvania
Never had a problem with the service until I needed to change my phone number. It’s been 48 hours in since I first started trying, with no end in sight. There is no way to contact technical support except by email, and they are not especially quick to respond. If you need something straightened out on this app in order to get a ride somewhere, you generally want to get that done as quickly as possible. First, it wouldn’t let me change the phone number until I emailed a photo of my driver’s license to someone. Very annoying, but I got through that. Then, when I actually needed a ride later, I got after confirming my pick up location that I couldn’t request one because my phone number wasn’t “verified.” However, the app won’t let me go through with that last step of confirming a two-factor text message because of some technical issue. No matter what I do, I can’t get that simple concept through to anyone at Lyft’s slow moving, probably non-English speaking support team. I’ve had two opportunities to get rides since I first started trying to get this fixed, and I’ve had to use Uber for both of them, even though Lyft has some 50 percent off deal that I wanted to take advantage of. Switching my phone number on the Uber app was totally effortless, by the way.
