This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install Mathway on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

App Reviews

  • Very Helpful but Sometimes the Steps get Confusing

    By Bobbyantor
I love this app it helps me solve the equation by telling me the answer. I did of course get stuck on some problems and did not know how to solve some of them so I payed the for monthly fee. It was good at first but then it was confusing on how they told me to do each step. I clicked on “show more”, but they would even skip some steps in there. I was confused on how they got from one point to the other. Maybe if they had arrows point to the new solution instructing us, so that it would be easier to understand. Other than that is really good. If you are just looking for the awnser to calculus problems this is the app for you. If they were to be more specific on their explaining process I would give them five stars.
  • Clunky design difficult to use

For many simple math problems, the calculator app that comes included with the iPhone works much better (although it doesn’t graph, or handle complex numbers). For graphing and complex math, there are web sites that work better and are free. It also lacks a programmer’s calculator option (for base conversion between decimal, binary, and hexadecimal). As far as paying for explanations of solutions, it would make sense (if this service is really so great), to allow at least a short free trial period. I don’t recommend buying it sight unseen. I certainly won’t. Especially with the poor quality of what I CAN see without payment. The number of 5-star reviews strikes me as a bit fishy. Given that there are people who write positive reviews for a living, I suspect a lot of these (mostly one-sentence) reviews are paid.
  • It can do fourth year calculus

    By Boner chile
I'm doing differential equations right now and all I have to do is take a picture of the question and it will solve it for you and then give you a detailed description of how it got that answer. Also I tried just random stuff to see what it could do so I decided to look at my brothers math book (geometry), I typed in y=mx+b and it asked me which variable I wanted to solve for then asked if I wanted to graph or what ever and it even shows you a picture of a graph. This is a pretty cool app and I really wish I knew about this when I started college.

By just trying to better myself
It is my fault but I did pay $80 for a year subscription. It had a good rating and with the price I thought it would really work. It freezes up on me I can’t even use it. If you’re in the wrong math type it won’t help you with other types of math say I’m in trigonometry section and I need help with something like algebra i have to constantly change sections rather them just redirecting me to where I need to go. I literally can’t use it bc it’s frozen now even though I completely closed the app and restarted it. There is no real big difference from the free version so don’t buy it. Yes it walks you through steps but kinda skips around so you don’t get a real big grasp on what you are doing. I suggest seeking help the old fashioned way before spending your money on this
  • Love it! ❤️❤️❤️

This is so helpful to CHECK your answers. My favorite part is the photo option. I’m struggling with some algebra that I haven’t studied in two years. I have Khan Academy teach me and use Mathway to check my answers. Works great! Would like to work out the problems for me so I make sure I’m doing that right but don’t want to pay the Premium. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Otherwise pretty good! Definitely check out Khan for lessons if you are super stuck!
  • Great app

    By Tim Knipe
Great for adults! Us Parents always fear the day our kids start taking math classes that we can’t help them with anymore. With this app I just type in the problem and poof it gives me the answer and the steps to solve it, just in case you don’t want to give your kid the answer but if you want to help them with just a step you can view all the steps easily. Great app highly recommend!!
  • Helpful in some ways

    By Titty111
This app is helpful in someways. I upgraded to a premium account because I wanted to see how problems are solved. When I ask a substitution/ elimination problem, it solves it but then when I try to see how it was solved, it’s a white blank page. There are other problems/equations that gives the same blank space when I try to see how it was solved. I think there’s room for update and hopefully they fix this. If this continues I’ll cancel my subscription and look elsewhere.
  • Better still, but a few things

    By Ravbug
I upgrade you to a 4 star for fixing most of the issues. A few things though: That weird autocorrect thing you added always pops up when I'm about to hit the arrow, so it messes up my equation. One way to fix this is to have the autocorrect buttons always be visible or have an option to disable them. The solver is less buggy, which is good. The "show more steps" button still locks up the application, which is annoying when my equation is complicated and I can't be sure if it's stuck or not. For the camera, I suggest adding a box to crop the equation or do what Google translate does and add a highlighter. This could solve some of the issues regarding visual noise messing with the machine vision.
  • Awesome app but the camera...

    By :)(:)(:)(:
I love this app it has saved me in some desperate times but, it would have saved me so much time if it would allow me to access my camera. I do not know if other people have had this problem but it just goes to a white screen when I click the button. Or if it is under maintenance if so that’s ok but all in all great app!
  • Eh

    By Sarahthesickest
Mathway is very helpful in the way that it always gives the correct answer. However, I wanted to view how to complete a problem and it said to create an account in order to see the steps. I created an account and then went back to see how to complete the problem. It then asked to pay in order to see how. I need an app that explains how to complete math problems. I also need to figure out how to delete my mathway account because that was a waste of time.
