App Reviews

  • Was a great app.

I did enjoy using this app. But there are two issues that need to be addressed. Wi-Fi needs improvement. Always having problems connecting while in the store. And when I am able to connect the speed is extremely slow. My cellular data speed is 50 times faster than your Wi-Fi I see other reviews with the same issue. It makes it hard to use your app while in your store. I do not get a good cellular signal while inside your store so I try to use your Wi-Fi The other issue is the in store map location. The app used to show a map of where the item is located. Now it doesn’t AND the aisle numbers have changed on your app and they are WRONG. I looked up an item and it said aisle 98. Aisle 50 is the highest number in that store. Store #35 is the store I am talking about. Someone needs to wake up and join the rest of the world. You have the potential of having a great app but you need to fix your store Wi-Fi speed and connection issues along with your item locations and in store maps. The later used to work great. Not anymore.
  • Useful but not personable

This app lets you see the local ads, and search nearby stores. It has been useful in showing me what Lowe’s carries, and what they may not carry. One of the useful advantages of the app is to connect your MyLowe’s card to the app, but that hasn’t happened. The app is also supposed to be able to scan the receipt and add it to your history, but I’ve not been able scan a receipt yet. When you enter it manually, it says it can’t be found, and that I must re-enter my info after 24 hours! Also, if I forget to show the cashier (there’s no advantage that I know of too remembering to do so), it just gets forgotten, because they never ask if I have one. You can shop and browse your local store, but I’ve found it to be one of the more useless apps for otherwise being beneficial to me.
  • Decent when it works

Often times the search feature will not load items and the processing wheel keeps spinning. I have to use the mobile site to search to get around this issue. When you are looking for something specific it makes it a little trusting. I also wouldn’t mind knowing up front a list of known issues with an app. I like to be informed so if an app has an issue that a company knows about and is working on, it would be nice if I knew as well. It just makes me feel like a company is truly invested in its customers. Besides who wants to read a thousand reviews to find out if someone is experiencing the same problems that they are. Just basic info on the issues at hand would be great to say “Hey we know the issue, and are working hard on it to better serve you.”

If your Application in the App Store would support a dialog box to communicate a future functionality wish, then I would not be writing this under a review. That being said, I would like to know when the Lowe’s application will incorporate Face ID so as to not require a password. Your largest competitor, Home Depot, has already done this. A study has been done in the short term that states if an application incorporates Face ID the likelihood that a person would use it more frequently is doubled. I hope Lowe’s catches up with Home Depot quickly because I prefer Lowe’s to Home Depot. Face ID being used by Home Depot has steered me in their direction. Not remembering my password and using my large hands to input my password into the password field is actually caused me to use Home Depot more. Thanks, John
  • Buggy

    By ArtRo86
Not going to bash this too hard, but I generally add things into my cart I’m picking up. Well some weird bug happened between the ap and website so now I can’t order online because I can’t clear out my cart of things I don’t want. Seems like a buggy system to me, or just a problem with the script. I have reached out to customer support and well to be honest...”we will be with you as soon as possible” and waiting 2 days doesn’t really cut it. The good part is this app is very handy keeping track of past trips to Lowe’s and fun to look threw things on the app and try and narrow things down before going to the store. All in all if they fix the bugs and enable loading of gift cards like amazons app that would be cool.
  • Problems

Went through the steps to set “my store” and etc. so once I got to the store I could find each item on my list without backtracking since the store we frequent layout is really weird and hard to find what you want and was one of the main reasons I downloaded the app. However, on my next visit I find out right away that the info for this store is incorrect! Very disappointed and frustrated! Products I was looking for were on a different isle than what the app said it would be (isle 10 but was really on isle 47!). I do like the ability to make a list. When using search, it comes up with non-related items, which is also frustrating. This app needs more work and store locations need updating!
  • No app support, no store map

    By SeattleJoe7
I clicked the link for App Support, and was taken to the Lowe’s website customer service page, which has no provisions for getting app or website support. (My point ... don’t offer support if you aren’t prepared to give support.) When will you include a store map for each store in your app? You provide locations for products, but no way to see where that location actually is. I’ve heard a map is actually available but if so, links to it are cleverly hidden. I should be able to tap a location in an item description, and be taken to the store map, with the location of the item indicated. Otherwise, a pretty decent app ... fix these two items, I’ll update to 5 stars!
  • Inventory Fail x 2

    By Steindad
It’s a decent app but don’t believe it when it says the item(s) you want are in stock at your local stores. I wasted two hours of valuable Saturday time driving to two different Lowe’s stores last weekend to purchase items that were in stock according to the app. On both occasions, the store employees showed that they had inventory on their devices too, but when we went to the physical location in the store where the products were supposed to be, there weren’t even facings on the shelf for them. So it turns out they don’t even sell the items I was looking for in the store. Stopped by my local Ace Hardware on my way back from the second failed Lowes attempt and picked up what I needed. No app necessary.
  • Not great

App needs some work. You can create lists but you cannot actually add items to the list. There’s no add prompt or any add to list prompts on the product descriptions. Another prompt similar to add to cart would make this app alot more user friendly. I have also had issues purchasing items on this app. It allows you to put items in your cart but when you go to pay it wants you to submit ALL blocks provided to submit your order, i.e., you have to use both address blocks even if you don’t need the second one. Lastly, when ordering online products it does not tell when your product has arrived in store. It simply says in process, it’s not until you log in online that you’ll see the ready for pick up notification.
  • Latest version without shop by department makes app useless

    By Alas.Poor.Yorick
I have been loyally shopping at Lowe’s for a long time and been using the app since it came out. I am in our local store 2-3 times a week for both business and personal. I normally make my list before hand using the app so I know exactly what I need, how much it costs, and where it is. However this latest version of the app does not have shop by department and makes the app useless. Many items have colloquial names and are therefore called different names dependent on where you are in the country. Since Lowe’s is a national store and somewhat standardized, the names are whatever some decided. All that to say is search is many times useless and since that is the only way use the app anymore, the app is useless. Looks like I am joining the orange team.
