App Reviews

  • Suggestions for New Features!

    By Form:ToxicDead
Hello, this app is great. I also have suggestions for new features. My first most feature is secondary stroke, basically it strokes the first stroke and put this free because I paid for 3D feature, and I don't want to pay again. My second feature is that you can stroke the shadow feature. I saw many of thumbnails using this. My third feature is you can change the color of the picture, for example; color is red, you want to make it blue, then you have hold press the color to access the color changer, then use the hue bar to make it go to different colors by moving it left, or right. You can make this one paid and put this one in the filter. My fourth feature, and it's my favorite, is that everyone can share their creations and can advertise their own fonts, it can be found in the home screen of the app. You can also add free, or paid stickers. That's all I have.

Not a regular reviewer, but i had to find the review button for this app to review it. I'm an apparel Maker (So African Clothing) and needs to do design mock-ups for graphic artists. This app is so awesome I don't know if I could live without it. Sometimes i think it's unreal. I started off using it for memes, but then transitioned to designing tshirts and stuff and my whole world has changed. Oh my gawd. If you're reading this review to help you decide whether to get this app or not, don't even read the next word. Stop reading now and download this app ASAP. One thing i wish they had is a duplication option. Sometimes i type stuff or add an image from their library and i want to use it multiple times, but i have to keep going back and forth 5 times etc. i know i know, I'm lazy. America has made me a lazy African. Anyhow this app is just filled with Awesome juice. I go by Harry B and I'm out.
  • I love this app. It is amazing and versatile. I get it MY way every time.

I use it all the time. It has a large variety of scaleable fonts. I haven’t used it but you can add other fonts. Preset colors can be changed with sliders for red green and blue as well as opacity (alpha) and saved for future use. Angle the text. Curve the text. Show the text in perspective (3D). Increase or decrease letter spacing. Increase or decrease line spacing. Create a set of colors (pattern) and apply it as a vertical or horizontal gradient or use it Letter-by-letter or word-by-word. Outline option thickness and color is variable. Shadow options can be varied by color, thickness, angle, blur and alpha (transparency). Backgrounds in various shapes that can be scaled in x and y independently. I used a solid Background with cutout Text so the picture would show through as the letters. Loved it! Various underline styles. Add images and cut them out in various shapes including speech and thought bubbles. Everything can be moved and manipulated independently. You can import and save as .png. All the text I use in other apps is done with this program. Great for your own style of collages. You can also restore just the previous state if you want to make changes to the last project. There are various filters to apply and many share options. There’s more. . .
  • Amazing App But...

By i make cool edits and stuff
I love this app. It has almost never failed me and I love the features. This app offers so much versatility and I love the fonts. A problem I have been having is when the app crashes and I lose an hour or so worth of work. I know you can “restore precious state” but that only restores the text you have created, not the photos. It takes a lot of work to make my work and it’s a bit frustrating when the app crashes. I get no app is flawless but i wish it could simply just restore everything. Also, I would really love to see an add shadow to images feature. I use a lot of PNGs and i usually have to add shadow to them in a completely different app. This feature would really make this app my number one, over super impose and other similar apps. Overall though, I love Phonto, i’ve used it for a couple years now and it is something I recommend to everyone!
  • One Of The Best Apps EVER

I Don't Think That There Is Any Better App That Can Top This. It Is The ONLY Photo Editing App I Have Because It Has Everything You Need. Outlining Texts, Choosing Fonts, Coloring Everything & So Much More! One Thing I Would Like To See Next Update Is Having 2+ Colors For The Strokes Of Your Texts. Maybe Even Having A Way To Combine 2+ Pictures. Maybe Even A Login Sign Up Thing Because Once You Delete The App, You Can’t See What You Have Done With Your Templates. Thats The Main 3 Things I Really Want To See And It’s Honestly Amazing. One Of The Best Apps Ever & The Reason That Im Not Giving This A 4 Star Rating For All The Things Missing Is Because I Bet They Will See This And Start Working On Things To Develop The App. Thanks So Much Phonto Because Your A Lifesaver! 💜🤣🌟
  • It seems great except...

    By Ffhfsgcs
It was going well until I tried to change the text size, every time I shrunk it smaller it got stuck to that size and I couldn’t make it any bigger, just smaller and smaller. as I was trying to fix it, it got super small and it was stuck that way permanently. I tried closing and reopening the app, the text was still stuck that way, so tiny that it’s unreadable. The only thing that reset it was re-downloading the app. It still happened again though. It would be a hassle to have to deal with that all the time, trying to remember to not close out of changing the text font, like if I try to reposition the text as I’m changing the size. That one little mistake makes it stuck. I don’t think I’ll be using the app because of this. Please fix this bug!
  • Surprisingly Killer App

    By Mactbc
At first it appeared way to simple to be useful. Don’t let first impressions allow you to miss out on a fantastic App. This can do amazing things like creating collages of photos with text. Text can be fully scaled and 3D text feature is amazing. The move/size feature allows for fine tuning to exact dimensions and location. Easy to save. Custom text colors can be saved along with outlined text. Short learning curve with big results. I used this to replace Adobe App for iPad that wasn’t being supported in iOS 11. I keep finding more and more everyday and this is my goto App now. I tested 7 Apps from different developers and this one stood out way above the rest.
  • What happened with the option to Curve text???

    By Mamita X
Edit: Ok so I’m editing my review because after reading other reviews I’ve discovered where the curve function is. I would have appreciated a response when I contacted them. I will say that I think it is great to be able to Curve from the main menu than how it was previously. The ability to see the curving on your pic is fabulous and makes it much easier & convenient. Great job on the improvement. I've been using this app since my previous go to app stopped updating & this has been a descent app until I went to add my mark on my pic & the option to Curve text is gone! I've uninstalled & reinstalled but nada!! BS!! I paid to have ads removed recently now this garbage!
  • The problem with the curve feature has been fixed

    By Backdoctor4u
After my last update, I could not find/use the "curve" feature. After complaining about this the developer was able to get back to me and outline the steps to enable the curve feature to be implemented. When the menu box comes up, after you write your text, simply swipe the menu to the left. Another menu appears with "curve" being the first option. Then click on it and use as you did in the previous version. Thank you, developers, for solving this problem. I use Pronto almost every day and will now return my review back to the 5 star rating it should be!
  • This is a great little text editor.

    By Gitarzz
I bought this just to make myself some cool little wallpapers for my phone but I’m finding that there are professional applications I can use this for as long as I pay for the fonts. It has plenty of options to make it useful. It’s not entirely intuitive but a little exploring will reveal all its tricks. It’s not difficult. Be aware though that the in app purchase called 3D is not truly 3D. It’s a transform box that allows you to distort (ie, transform) the shape of your text. It works nicely. I guess if you want true 3D text you still have to use Photoshop. I’m sure that takes more processing power than the iPhone can provide. The best part of this app is the ability to import any font you want. I go on a free font website like Dafont, but there are others, find something I like and download it. Safari asks me how I want to open it and I select Phonto. It allows me to read the text file (always read the text file) and install the font. For digital iPhone and iPad artists this is a great addition to your collection.
