A. Nox App . OR

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use Spectrum TV for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Spectrum TV in the search bar and hit Search. This app is the icing on the cake when it comes to Spectrum and their absolutely terrible TV and Internet services. Whoever at the HQ in Stamford made this app needs to read this comment before reading anything else. This MIGHT help this app become a 5 star app maybe not. First the UI is sufficient but what I don't understand is why Spectrum software developers made this app to only handle 3 streams at once. I was watching Comedy Central on my surface and it was running fine until I changed the channel to MTV then I changed it back to Comedy Central and then that's when it appeared. And now I'm not able to watch anything. Also another thing is that this app keeps crashing in certain devices. There's not enough bandwidth, and this app is just overall pointless unless you have an actual STB ( set top box ) This app paired with Spectrum internet is also bad because I'm almost at my max bandwidth just using this app. If your having bandwidth issues go with 1080i like the STB's instead of 1080p. The Internet throttles down to about 30 Mbps from 100Mbps. If you guys actually listen to your customers maybe you I would be better but I highly doubt that but like I said if Spectrum makes those changes I might give it a 4 at least. Your number 2 in the country behind Xfinity Comcast and your slogan is " redefining what a cable company can be " um I don't think your actually committed to that. So your number 2 in the country act like it.
  • VPN Error Messages

I’m so sad to have to give one star and to voice a complaint, but I have dumped and reloaded this Spectrum TV App over and over trying to stop this VPN Error message from popping up and knocking the video off. I can still get the audio, just no picture when the message comes up. I’ve done everything there is to do (and that I’m able to do) to make this function properly. I give up!!! Clearly, I have a problem or Spectrum does. Judging from the reviews, it’s not me. Being disabled with limited mobility and funds, I can’t afford to keep putting precious money into a sinking ship; just to be able to watch TV via my mobile phone when I’m not able to be in the living room. It’s the only TV in the house and I rely on my Spectrum TV App to watch in bed or on the porch. But lately, it has become a near impossibility to enjoy the luxury of taking the “TV anywhere on my phone.” Instead of repeatedly buying the latest high-powered WiFi Units and downloading an updated app again and again, maybe I should just delete the Spectrum TV App and the Spectrum Cable, Internet and Phone Service from my house altogether??? This is pathetic. This is really costing me on several levels and I’m not alone! Come on Spectrum, I was really impressed with the new attitude, products, services, etc and thought you guys were really on top of your business. I guess I’m wrong.

This app is a complete joke! I was talked into this by a representative when I went to cancel my $200 a month basic package (that started out at about 1/3 of that price). I was met by the most rude and interrupting sales rep (CAMBRIA identification #H3P) they told me sorry about my bad luck that I can’t watch the TV I’ve paid for try again later. I then waited for a manager (MEGAN identification #CHU) She was sympathetic and she listened to my issues but nonetheless helpless into actually getting me The TV service I pay for for future lost service that she explained will definitely happen because this company did not pay for servers large enough to handle the extra volume that they gave some kind of promotion for. PLEASE FIRE CAMBRIA and give MEGAN some authority to make things right for customers instead of making them call in every single day spending hours out of their day to get a credit for a few pennies of lost minutes of service! Past that the app is not specific to your purchased package you are going to surf channels And I have to guess and check whatever channels you have. There are many other options out there this is now last on my list not worth the time or tiny amount of energy turn on your TV anymore. On the bright side this may be a way to get you up and do something different besides watch TV LOL. GREAT BUSINESS PLAN SPECTRUM!

  • Spectrum should be sued for false advertising

There isn’t an anything other than the cheap price in the spectrum ads that is true. Their app is horrible. It works maybe if you’re in your house, but if you want to watch TV any place outside of your home forget it. The app straight up doesn’t work or it crashes or it freezes. In the ads they tell you to binge watch your favorite show forget it! They provide you with maybe five or six episodes out of all the seasons, and those are the only ones you get to watch. By the way they’re also the same shows that are available through the network apps. So they don’t provide you with anything you can’t get from someone else. As for live television, forget that too. you get to watch maybe five or six channels out of the 120 or 200 for which you paid. Live sporting events if you’re traveling with your family, you’re at the beach or want to do something for the day? No forget it. You better be home if you want to see it on your mobile app! As soon as I can I am so getting rid of spectrum and going back to dish! You really did get to watch mobile anything you wanted any where you were at. Again as far as I’m concerned Spectrum should be sued for false advertising I’ve had more problems with their service than I had in all the years I had dish.

At first I was excited when I heard spectrum advertise “take your tv with you”... I thought this would be awesome, I could download the app, sign into my account, and watch the channels that I am paying for anywhere I have my phone/tablet/internet connection! You know, catch some of the game on lunch at work, watch news at night while kids are watching their stuff (when out on vacation), etc. NOPE!! It turns out that in order to get the tv that you are paying for, you have to be at HOME on your WiFi. I’m guessing that enough people complained, because I noticed the commercials changed to ‘watch to anywhere in your house’... news flash, I can do that anyway...without the app! I’m not sure why I would choose to watch tv in the comfort of my own home on a small device rather than my actual tv? I just dont understand why I have to have an account, but my channels aren’t linked to it outside of my home? Anyway, I did give the app a 2 because for what it says it will do, it does very well. The few times I did use the app in home just for kicks and giggles, I didn’t have any problems and the app performed on a 4 to 5 star level. But the 2 is b cause the app does LESS than one would expect from it!

I got this app thinking it would be better than the crappy wifi and cable due to the commercials I saw. Nope, of course not. Why did I think ANYTHING Spectrum makes would be worth it? I especially love that when we were getting new phones with this company, my family and I asked specifically that they NOT change our phone number in the process. Guess what? Since Spectrum's support team and technical teams are so lazy and irresponsible, they just had to change our phone number. Heck, I don't even know what it is any more! I just love the commercials where it compares this sad excuse of a cable company to DirecTV. "Redefining what a cable company can be." Just SHUT UP WITH YOUR STUPID UNTRUE SLOGAN! The "On Demand" feature drives me nuts. Every time someone turns on a T.V., it's On Demand. Stop forcing us to buy more expensive crap from you guys! The new remote we got doesn't even work half the time. And the half-a$$ed person that installed our cable box and router was pretty much a rock. Don't even get me started on the Wi-Fi. They set us up with the guest crap, now it ALWAYS connects with that and makes us put in a password they didn't even tell us, so bye-bye everything that requires internet! Just listen to everyone. Don't get Spectrum, or this "app".
  • Provisional review

My time with this app is about a minute at this point so it’s provisional on me spending more time with it. At this time this app purports to be an internet TV service yet I am on the internet and only get access to select channels even though my package is supposed to include much more. I have to actually go home still in order to watch any local tv or other useful information (for instance maybe I want to see what the local weatherman says over my lunch hour or before I head home from work). Additionally, the app does not continue to provide audio in the background when I Switch apps. I hit my first commercial break and decided to write this review yet now I’m missing show content since it’s taken me long enough to write this review that I’m sure the commercials are over with. Anyhow, that’s my first taste during my free trial. No crashes so far but seriously bummed I can’t access most of the content when I’m not actually at home. The rest of the family is going to have to weigh in if this service is useful enough for us to pay for it but for me this is pretty marginal today.

When this app is working, I absolutely love it. I relied on it during most of hurricane Irma (using iPad) when I was in a safe space that I could not watch TV. My complaints are that the app often crashes with incorrect errors. The errors range from saying that I am not able to use it because I am not connected to my home spectrum Wi-Fi, which is a common error that you will see people complain about, and they have yet to fix this issue, which renders the app completely useless. Another error that happens quite often is that out of the blue it will say that MTV or another channel is not part of my package so it will not allow me to watch shows on demand, which is ridiculous because those channels are part of my package. The inconsistencies of the app and the bugs that come seemingly out of the blue have gotten so bad since Spectrum took over from BrightHouse that it compelled me to write this review and I never usually write reviews for any apps. Also I have installed and deleted and reinstalled the app and done all of the trouble shooting tips online and still, the issues keep happening randomly.
  • Too glitchy

This app is by far the worst app on my iPad. It is glitchy. For instance, right now it is currently down and has been for two days. On both my iPad and phone. Yet my phone reports that it has updated that app just today. When I called customer support they said they don’t control the app that is controlled by a third-party. They suggest deleting the app and reinstalling it. It blows my mind in 2018 the solution is to delete the app and reinstall it!? I simply use my spectrum account to log into the network’s apps and watch TV that way. Plus it is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard that you have to be on your home Wi-Fi to watch shows on your iPad. Well if I’m home why don’t I just watch it on the TV?! They have a monopoly too. In most of my town spectrum is the only cable company available, many buildings come pre-wired for spectrum only. I know for a fact they have tried to halt frontier from installing FiOS fiber optic cables. This is mid 20th century technology are using when we are a quarter of the way through the 21st century. I’m going to go get in my Pinto now and drive home.
