I cook a lot, and have to say that this app is my go-to. I love the fact that there are so many similar recipes, since I love reading through a few to understand the concept, and then making it to my taste. This variety also means that there is a perfect dish for everyone! Definitely helps me with my picky eaters...=^\ My favorite part though, has to be the recipe box they have setup. I get to save all the dishes I like the most in something like folders, and name and sort them how I choose. I've made the basic, dinner, sides, sauces, and the like, in addition to some more specific ones for me. Great way to always come back to a recipe that just won't stick into memory. Now I've had this for years and wouldn't trade it. I honestly don't have another recipe app for food on my phone other than this. Awesome!
  • Love that it exists but it is the dumbest app ever (with updates now!)

You can’t search through your own saved recipes and pretty much all items have a name you won’t remember. Can’t search “lemon chicken” to find “general Isaac lemon chicken.” Also the collections option is ridiculous. Really, really poor design. You should be all levels of embarrassed Food Network. Update: now my app will open and automatically close. Can’t search, can’t access saved recipes, can’t use it. Update: 2018 - love the new search feature in saved recipes. That makes it sooo much more user friendly. The update stopped the app crashing too! Now - let’s get the collections part functional and we party.

Love this app, recipes, and chefs. Wish you included cooking channel chefs and shows. Kelsey is one of my faves. Love the recipe box. I wish I could enter my own or share with other apps. I always have to go to the web and cut and paste the same recipes in this app to share. Just updated and I can't even open the app. Major crash. Totally useless now. March 2, 2018...I just saved a recipe from the on tv now DDD. I went to my stuff to make some notes and every time I try to open the recipe it takes me to a totally different recipe in my box. Always the same recipe. The app has crashed a few times lately. Please fix.
  • Way to many feedback request...

I eagerly installed the app this morning and not two hours later I want to delete! I opened it up for first time 10 minutes ago, and all I get are feedback request! Quite literally every thirty seconds! I took three of the same survey within two minutes. Every time you click on recipe it pops up to give feedback. If you say no thanks or not right now it keeps popping up every thirty seconds! If you take survey/feedback, then it waits until you open new recipe. The question is “How likely are you to recommend this app to a friend”...I don’t know if I would because I got thirty seconds into the app before being hounded for feedback. I had no time to explore, to truly use the app. I might have really liked this app, as I find I tend to turn to Food Network for fresh new recipes ...but now I just feel bummed.
  • Pretty great

The food is pretty good and you can see the reviews on each recipe which I really like, however I really think you should be able to filter your feed based on dietary restrictions. For example I'm vegetarian and I keep having to scroll through a ton of meat recipes or check to see if a recipe even has meat ingredients. I also think that there should be a little 🔥 in the corner of each recipe to indicate that it's spicy, because I know that I'm not the only person who can't handle spicy things well! I just think that this would greatly improve this already great app!

Update: Thank goodness I can still access online. Last update and I can’t even open app anymore. This make me sad. I’ll remove this update when it’s up and going again (on my iPhone). I make Friday night dinners for my family every week and I like to make at least one or more new recipes to keep dinner exciting. I have tried so many of the recipes in this app and many I'd like to put in my regular rotation but I don't want to miss on all the new great recipes. I started with watching Giada's Everyday Italian and looked up her recipes. I now am a fan of many of the chefs recipes. Ree's drip beef recipe is to die for! Ina knows her chicken and seafood. Bobby is a little arrogant but he knows how to BBQ. I love how I can keep all my favorite recipes in the recipe box an find them easily. I watch the shows find the recipe I want to try and save it to my box. It easy and organized
  • App and daily online email are both a pain

App kept crashing so I tried searching for recipe from daily recipes when they are in my inbox. You can tap on recipe and it looks like it’s going to bring you to the recipe but it brings you to another picture of it. If you tap on the underlined name of the recipe it still doesn’t bring you to the recipe. You literally have to scan though all recipes listed to find the one you want. I was hoping it would maybe be at the top of the list because that’s an option too, but I still can find the recipe that so appealed to me in the email. Too much of a pain. I unsubscribed from email.
  • Crap App & Worse Customer Service

Signed up a while back. The app never remembers my info and I have to always log back in. Today, it decided that it didn’t want to accept my password, so I had to reset it. After using the link sent in the email, the site kept telling me “invalid argument” and won’t reset at all. I reached out to customer service and the auto-reply email says they can’t get to all emails, but please visit some third party website to sign up for contests. Ridiculous. If this is how they feel about keeping fans, then consider the app deleted. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR WEB DEV COMMENT: Why on earth would I fill out another form? I did it once, either put some effort into your customer service or just bugger off.
  • Great app

I love the look and feel of the app. I absolutely love being able to pull up all the recipes that are currently being featured in an episode or on tv! Only thing I would want in the next update is to search by ingredient. I love they've added a breakfast tab! I struggle figuring out what to make for breakfast all the time. And I am so glad there’s the ability to search within your saved recipes, as well as being able to sort by newest too!
  • A great “go to” source for recipes!

Sometimes when I don’t know what to make, I will just browse the Food Network website. People leave a lot of recipe reviews and suggestions, which is very helpful. It’s also great for trying new things. I had never made pizza dough and now I do it often using a couple of simple recipes. Great feature that I can save the recipes I like with a “heart” and get back to them quickly. This is the only food app I have and I love it!
