Using Instagram on your Windows computer is actually very easy but if you are new to this process, you will definitely need to pay attention to the steps listed below. This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install Instagram on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .
Personally, I recommend the "B" option as Bluestacks is very popular so if you run into any trobles using it, you can find good solutions on Google or Bing (lol).

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use Instagram for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Instagram in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Instagram application icon. A window of Instagram will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Instagram icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Hope it was not too difficult? If you have any further inquiries, contact me through the "Contact" link at the bottom of this page so I could help You. Have a nice day!

About Instagram

Developer Description

Instagram is a simple way to capture and share the world’s moments. Follow your friends and family to see what they’re up to, and discover accounts from all over the world that are sharing things you love. Join the community of over 1 billion people and express yourself by sharing all the moments of your day — the highlights and everything in between, too. Use Instagram to: * Post photos and videos you want to keep on your profile grid. Edit them with filters and creative tools and combine multiple clips into one video. * Browse photos and videos from people you follow in your feed. Interact with posts you care about with likes and comments. * Share multiple photos and videos (as many as you want!) to your story. Bring them to life with text, drawing tools and other creative effects. . They disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in feed. * Go live to connect with your friends in the moment. Try going live with a friend and sharing a replay to your story when you’re done. * Message your friends privately in Direct. Send them photos and videos that disappear and share content you see on Instagram. * Watch stories and live videos from the people you follow in a bar at the top of your feed. * Discover photos, videos and stories you might like and follow new accounts on the Explore tab.

Instagram, please listen to your users. I have had and been loyal to instagram for over 4 years now. Heck, I was here when instagram was still blue and brown. instagram used to be a great app. Please stop changing the algorithm to benefit advertisers. Also, the new explore page algorithm is incredibly hard to navigate and does not change to fit my taste. I have spent hours being active on accounts I like and selecting “don’t show me more like this” and have seen absolutely no change in my explore page. On top of that, explore is now way more clustered than before. As a creator on the app I understand how crucial algorithm is and do not appreciate being shoved to the bottom of my followers feeds under all the advertisements. I have also noticed an alarming amount of the advertisements I see are scams. The fact that turning on post notifications is practically necessary to keep updated on my favorite accounts is ridiculous and is killing traffic to many accounts causing them to die out. This means less users on your app. Even if not directly affected, when users have a hard time navigating the app they are bound to be less active. The app is becoming more and more like facebook. I have started to use instagram less and less for the reasons I no longer use facebook. I am just one of thousands of reviews all saying similar things. Please make changes if you care about your users and user experience.

I’ve had Instagram for years now and it’s one of my ways to engage with my friends and know what they’re up to. I like to know when they feel sad so I can cheer them up and when they feel happy so I can smile knowing they’re doing good. But ever since the new algorithm, its caught me in many situations in where I’ve lost all contact with my friends because I don’t know when they post and the other account I follow most recent posts. Yeah, of course I can turn on post notifications but why would I do that when I’ve already followed them and I should see all there posts on my feed. Why would you do that? Why would you take the perfectly fine chronological algorithm and then throw everything out the window? If it doesn’t need fixing then don’t fix it. I don’t need Instagram to tell ME what I MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN, I follow those specific accounts because that’s what I’m interested in, not follow an account just so I’m not able to see their posts. At least make a setting where you can change between the new one and the chronological one. And the reason why there’s not a lot of demand for the change is because bigger Instagram account don’t even tell the difference seeing they follow so many people. It dramatically affects smaller accounts because now you can barely even communicate with your followers and it dramatically decreases the percent of anyone to see your most recent posts. Why did you think the new algorithm was a good idea???

I honestly love Instagram. I have ben using it for awhile and enjoying it. Except now. I have two accounts. My main account and my side account. With my main account, it does NOT update. The new “FaceTime” feature does not work. The new “Questions” feature does not work. I don’t even get the option to use them. But my side account I can use them. I don’t understand how it is updating one account and not the other. With it only updating certain parts my main account set up is different then my side account because the set up has updated in my side account and not my main. So if a button is in a certain place on my main account it’s in a different place for my side account. I’ve tried everything to fix it and it won’t work. I’ve even reported the bug multiple times but the have NOT tried to contact me or fix it!!!! Also I cannot log out of accounts unless I delete the app and refer it. So if my friend wanted to log into there account on my phone i can’t log out of there account. When I press the “Log out” button it just moves it to the bottom of my accounts list. It’s still logged in. I get notifications from the account. It’s TERRIBLE!!!! Also lately messages have not ben sending. I gave this a 5 star so you could all see this review. Please stop making new updates and start fixing old bugs.
  • Start listening to your users and give us what we want

First off let me say that I love Instagram and use it more so then Facebook. But, I’ve never posted a review for an app or updates before. But I figured it’s time to finally say something about how idiotic it is to not see my feed in chronological order. You would think that after so many people have complained about this, that the developers behind Instagram would take that into consideration and give their users what they have been demanding for. But instead they have just ignored us. The so called algorithm they said would make everything better is terrible. In order for me to actually see the post from people I want, I have to go to their page. Now as for the most recent update and the addition of this tv thing, is there an option to turn it off? I do not want to see the pop up at the top of my screen whenever someone is doing it. I’m already having enough trouble with my notifications as is. I’m not getting my notifications when someone loves a picture or leaves a comment, even though I have them turned on. I still get a banner telling me someone is going live when I have that turned off. It’s time for you guys to start listening to us and giving us what we ask for Instagram, or people will stop using the app. And because of this, regardless of how much I use the app and actually enjoy it, I can not give it 5 stars.
  • Please take these suggestions into consideration

I never write reviews on anything so best believe I find these suggestions really significant. I use Instagram everyday and I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t check it every 5 seconds. We get it Instagrams great. However, the fact that the posts were taken out of chronological order is really annoying because you look like a creep if you liked a photo that was posted on someone’s page last week even though it just popped up on your timeline and now you have to actually go to someone’s page to see if they’ve posted anything new. So it would be amazing if the posts could be in chronological order again. Next, I believe that people should have the option to remove pictures from their carousel posts without having to delete the whole post in its entirety. It’d also be great if you could post images or videos with their actual size and not have to compromise with instagrams options or having to just use no crop apps. It’d also be really cool if you could have the option to make almost like sub caption on the rest of your carousel posts and not just an overall caption for all of them. We should also be able to comment with gifs like Facebook also being that Facebook now owns Instagram. Lasty, there should be no time limit to videos that people post. I hope you take these suggestions into consideration. Thanks in advance!❤️

Instagram, what a fun app to connect you with the world! 😊 I’ve been a long time Instagram user, and have had my current account since 2013. I had never encountered any major errors that weren’t accounted for, and quickly fixed, until recently. When the “Instagram polls” were released, my account began slowing down, and getting extremely glitchy. 😕 I’ve never had the option to create an Instagram poll, post slider votes (not sure what those are called), or post the newly-released question stickers on my story. Mind you, I manually update this app each time a new update is released, leaving no room for error in automatic updates. To this day, after numerous emails and direct requests for help (through both the Instagram help page, the application, and personally emailing), my account still has no access to these accessories, limiting both the fun and functionality of my account. Before I deleted my second Instagram account permanently, I HAD access to these functions, meaning the issue was not with my application or phone specifically (I have also logged out of my account, and deleted the app to try and solve this problem). Not only have I never even HAD the option to choose these functions, but I have never gotten a response from Instagram that they are even TRYING to fix this issue. I love Instagram dearly, but there are definitely some minor issues that have been occurring, and growing to be major issues. 😬
  • How do I share my poems with the world?

Threw instagram I have been resourcing us as an outlet to share my poems in the book I am writing with the world. I am in search of more opportunity to get my poems out there to more individuals who are in search of the words to the answers of life as well. For me, writing poetry has become an opportunity to share my story and hardship and what I have learned with the world. I allowed myself the opportunity to sit down and spend the time trying to find the words to say what it was I was truest feeling, an opportunity to truest become the words that I was feeling and emoting in life. With my poetry, you are the poem, and you are the essence of the life you life, and the answer to the questions we ask each and everyday of our existence. Instagram, I would love the opportunity to write a book in honor of you and share it with the world on how seeing and truest feeling our own word threw poetry is so much more than metaphysical and on the surface and more spiritual and soulful with traveling the distance. I would love feedback on how I can share my story and poetic essence with the world. Please let me know anything I can do to get out there as the poetic artist I radiate onto you? Please read my poems as the captions to my most recent last 22 posts and tell me we don’t fall in love!!!
  • Please be more flexible

This app has the potential of blowing Twitter out of the water. However there’s something I feel is worth saying, not that it’ll convince you or even discourage future users, but I’ll say it anyways. In my opinion, Instagram really just needs to be more flexible with “Un safe”, content. I know the rules say it’s not allowed but let’s face facts. People post that stuff anyways and banning them is only alienating a portion of the users who GENUINELY LIKE YOUR APP! Meanwhile twitter is MUCH more lenient with that stuff. The only downside twitter has as far as I’m concerned is that it’s seemingly more complicated. All I’m saying is, I opt for a safe search/unsafe search engine just like Twitter and Tumblr have and you’ll have a more appreciated app. Point is if twitter and tumblr can get away with it, so can you. Oh! And remove the limit to sent photos, that’s just a more nit picky request. I don’t see the purpose to limiting them in terms of time, I’m sure you have your reasons but if you found an alternative way that allows people to continue viewing those photos after they’ve been sent I’m sure people would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! That’s my personal bigger issue, I HATE receiving a photo of something important and forgetting to take a screenshot or accidentally closing it too soon and when I need to see it again I can’t open it up later. And I don’t doubt others have the same issue to deal with

I love Instagram, as many of these other reviewers do. I’ve had an account since Instagram first started. I almost always love the updates and am always very excited to see what’s new. That’s why I am very disappointed with Instagram right now. I have two accounts logged onto my account, one being my account and the other being my boyfriends (mainly to see the stuff he dms me from private accounts). Mind you, both accounts are logged on not just my phone but also his. My app says it is up to date on updates however my account does not have the features of the new update. For example, my account does not have the questions feature for the stories, the new three line bar to access settings and saved, as well as the new location/logo for the archived stories. However, when I switch to my boyfriend’s account, his account is updated and equipped with all the features above. It is very frustrating that the update has been around so long and my account has still not gotten the new features. I have written several times to the “report a problem” resource and nothing has been done. I have deleted the app and re downloaded it several times and still nothing. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this problem but it’s the first time it’s taken more than a month to be fixed. It is very frustrating and I really wish someone would fix this.
  • Still No iPad App

Instagram is, in turns, wonderful and frustrating. As someone who loves the simplicity of a service built around sharing photos, I love what Instagram started as. I love the development of image processing in app over the years: from filters to legitimate processing tools. I love that the photos default to a square form factor, but that we have the option to use different aspect ratios if the image benefits from it. I even think they’ve done some great things with video content. Adding the ability to easily swap between two accounts has been a godsend. I’m not a fan of the non-chronological timeline. Instagram does a horrible job of showing me what I “want” to see. It narrows down what’s at the top and often floods me with images that I’ve seen a dozen times in the last several days. Most infuriating is that there is no option to see things chronologically. Whatever. I’ll gripe and complain about this forever, but it isn’t my biggest complaint about Instagram. But there’s a realm in which Instagram just continually disappoints me. No iPad app. How can a major social media app exist in 2017 without a dedicated iPad app? Why should I still be using a scaled iPhone app on a 9.7” screen? It was funny for the first year or two of the iPad’s lifetime, but now it’s just stupidly overdue.
