App Reviews

  • Needs major improvement

    By Hidelsc
I’ve been using this app for years and it has its flaws, regardless of my having the latest version. It can’t seem to handle tracking more than one package at a time, while older versions of the app could. Even when I type in a new tracking number, it will still only bring up the previous package. It often has incorrect information. For example, I was tracking a package that said it would be delivered on a Saturday by 8:00pm. I received an alert that it was going to be delayed; no reason was given, nor was an estimated date/time. I continued to get this error for 5 days. I knew from past experience that you need to wait a full week before you can file a complaint. Finally, late on the 5th day, I got a msg saying the package HAD been delivered on the original day at 2:15pm. Why the app wasn’t updated in a timely manner I’m not sure. That’s the government for you!
  • Decent, basic app; needs improvements

    By Raptor Hawk
It’s nice having this app but it could do so much more. I mainly use it for tracking deliveries. I do sometimes have trouble getting it to initially accept and process tracking numbers. They eventually take but this shouldn’t be an issue. They should take a lesson from some of their competitors apps and provide similar features (i.e. automatically recognizing a tracking number in your clipboard, ala UPS). The app seems very basic and antiquated. My biggest complaint is that there is no iPad version. Companies who only put out an iPhone version show they lack a commitment to their customers. There are hundreds of millions of iPads out there. Put a little more effort into it, USPS!
  • If it's not broke don't fix it

    By 73mmhearse
I don't know why they updated but is a fail. It was a reliable app with fast updates on packages. I was tracking a package yesterday that it said was to be delivered. It was but, it still said it had not been delivered 8 hours after I had received it. Reliability has become an issue now. I will be removing this app from my phone and hopefully restoring the older version from my laptop. Ugh.... hasn't gotten any better from my last review. Now the majority of packages are just telling me "on there way to destination" and not telling me where it is located. I use to be able to judge when they would be delivered by what hub the package had passed through but now I can't tell if it's getting closer or going around in circles.
  • Not great

    By Standupguy33
First off I have no clue why you guys didn’t enable the ability to paste tracking numbers into the tracking box. Who wants to write down 13 numbers to then type them back in??? Also when I signed in, I’ve had a usps log in for a long time, it showed my old address (apartment) and showed me the updates of whoever lives there now package delivery status. I’ve never had a problem getting mail at my current residence. I changed my address when I moved into it almost 2 years ago so I changed it again on the app and of coarse it cost me a dollar. Wish I never downloaded the app honestly, Easier to just click the link from the shipper. Not even close to Fedex or Ups apps, step up your game USPS.
  • this app is a mess... or is the post office a mess?

    By xphlyte
according to this app, ive seen many of my pkgs get to my local post office, only to leave back to the "regional distribution center" far away. happens very frequently. according to this app, the post office is a mess. i've seen my pkgs go backwards in the process, get delayed, arrive at the local post office 3 times in 1 week and not get delivered. wish i could do a screenshot to show the lunacy with the postal system. i'm sure there is much to the process that i don't know or understand currently. not sure what the problem is exactly, but the usps has been in business for a real long time, to be demonstrating such unorganized business practices on such a regular basis. almost not worth it to track your pkgs, unless you enjoy stress and seeing one of the most unorganized systems at work. usps, get it together, you've been hanging on by a thread for years now and it's clearly about to break. usps is being left behind as the rest of us move forward with technology, process and procedures. please get it together. other options are looking more and more enticing with each of my pkgs i watch wander my state aimlessly.
  • Not Reliable

    By GeorgetownHerbs
I thought using this program to keep track of USPS orders related to my job would be convenient, but I’ve learned my lesson. If you try to add tracking information too quickly, the program isn’t best optimized to handle it. Not only that, but it will decide on its own that it just wants to get rid of all the rest of the tracking information you had stored. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME MULTIPLE TIMES. If I could rate this program 0 stars, I would. You would think with it being The United States Postal Service they could put more money into this app and at least make sure tracking information NEVER gets deleted, unless the user does so themselves. If you plan to use this program to keep track of multiple tracking numbers, just write them down. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!
  • Bug In Latest Update

    By Mack1o1
Since the latest update, after entering a tracking number, a message box pops up that states you are already tracking this package. It is very annoying! I tried everything on my end to resolve this issue, such as deleting both entries for the packages I was tracking and deleting the app and data completely, then reinstalling. Once a tracking number is entered, the same pop up appears if I enter another tracking number or close the app and reopen it. Other than the bug mentioned above, this app is great if you track USPS packages often. Back to a 5* review if this new bug gets fixed soon.
  • No AirPrint available

    By Mljohnson1123
When I processed the order and ready to print a label it does not give me the option to AirPrint it. It shows me the label in the app, it has obviously populated and charged me for the label but I can’t print it. Instead I have to click the option to open the webpage, which then will display the label and now I have the option to AirPrint the label. Kind of redundant. I can create a label on the app but I can’t print it from the app? Does that make sense? If I wanted to use the webpage then I would have gone to the webpage. Seems an app is created with the goal of making it easier to access the information and more mobile friendly. Maybe that’s a glitch but it was annoying.
  • Meh

    By GreenRibbonWarrior
So many apps integrate with email and other apps. This one doesn’t. It’d make sense if this app would open in tracking mode when selecting ‘track’ in an email. Instead it opens in safari, then you have to highlight the tracking number, copy, and paste into the app. Another suggested improvement is this little-known feature called notifications. Now, I know that app notifications is totally new and all but that would be a nice feature instead of having to open the app throughout the day to check the status of a shipment. Then again, this is the government we’re talking about and USPS is one of the least efficient agencies.
  • Good but needs some fixing

    By og95
I use this app to track all the shipments I make. I can check on the status on each shipment and rename them, which is wonderful. But every time I go back to the page with list of shipments, an error pops up and says “Alert! You are already tracking this number.” This happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. All you have to do is press “ok” which is annoying enough, but what’s worse is having to wait for the page to load again before the “ok” button responds. If that could be fixed, I could easily leave a 5 star review on tracking shipments alone.
