3: How to Use Chipotle for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Chipotle in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Chipotle application icon. A window of Chipotle will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.

  • GPS Auto-Select Nightmare

    Placed an order for dinner on my way home from work. I used the “reorder your last” option, stupidly thinking the app would reorder from the same store as well. Turns out the app uses your GPS to automatically select the restaurant that’s nearest to you AT THE EXACT MOMENT of placing your order. Didn’t notice until I arrived at the Chipotle near my house, 30 minutes from where I work, wondering where my order was. Turns out it was waiting for me 30 minutes in the opposite direction. Drove to the restaurant that actually received my order and finally picked up my food. Drove back home (all of this in rush hour traffic) and opened the bag. It was the wrong order. The receipt was correct, but the food they gave me was wrong. Instead of chicken I got pork, instead of black beans I got pinto, there was no lettuce, and the guacamole was brown. Called the restaurant to speak with the manager and ask him to refund the incorrect order. He refused because their policy requires you to come to the restaurant and speak with them in person. I wasn’t about to drive up there a second time in rush hour traffic, so there goes 10 bucks. Not paying attention to the GPS was my mistake, but I know I’m not the only customer who’s had trouble with it. That combined with the restaurant’s refusal to refund my card for their mistake was the final straw for me. What a terrible experience.
  • Took me 20 min to complete an order

    It took 20 minutes of fighting this app just to complete an order. I was starving and couldn’t find my wallet. I decided to try the Chipotle app because I love chipotle and could pay without my physical card. Downloaded the app, made an account, and went to make my first order. First, it wouldn’t add the order to my bag. After what seemed like 50 attempts, finally it got added to my bag, but the bag wouldn’t show up. It would load and load and load, and then tell me “I’m sorry, something went wrong, please try again later”. After 50 more attempts at trying to get the stupid bag to load, it finally did, but with four orders of the same meal. Tried to remove the other three, it wouldn’t, screen would crash again and tell me “I’m sorry, something went wrong, try again later”. 50 more times and FINALLY I put through a SINGLE order. Started at 11 o’clock, order went through at exactly 11:20. It should not take me 20 minutes to complete one order. This app should not be crashing multiple times because it can’t handle ONE ORDER. I really do not like downloading products that don’t work. I’m going to keep this app around because I may need it in a pinch like today, but I really hope I don’t come across this sort of crap again.
  • Remove GPS Auto-Selector and up-swipe

    I’ve been ordering through Chipotle’s website for almost a year now and immediately downloaded the app once it was available. My primary issue is that this app seems to auto-select a location based on GPS, which is something that I can clearly correct, but if I’m hitting “reorder” and I’ve ordered from the same exact location 50 times, I’m not expecting that a different location was auto-selected because I happened to be closer to it when I was in the car placing my order. This has only led to one awkward mix-up where I showed up at my usual restaurant only to be turned away, but it seems like an added inconvenience since you aren’t alerted when a different location is selected My newest issue stems from the poor “swipe up” feature that is required when you want to complete an order. If your store isn’t accepting online orders, you just keep trying to swipe and it never fully swipes, the screen just flies back down. I have to manually go to the store selection to see in a new view that the store itself isn’t accepting online orders, but chipotle still allows me to perform all of the regular functions of placing an order with that restaurant selected for some reason.
  • New payment options in app

    The newest version of the app would be awesome except for 2 things that in my opinion REALLY drag it down. First, every time I open the app to order food I am forced to update which, by itself, wouldn't be so bad, but then despite the update I can't use certain functions of the app, like using my last order and being done. Every time I try to use the "my last order" feature I receive an error message or the app closes/shuts itself down. The second issue I have is the new-ish feature for payment options. The problem here is that I can no longer select "pay in store." This is the BIG issue for me. I hate that they took that option away. I don't like giving my credit or debit information over my phone, or the internet if I can avoid it. What if I don't want the app to have that information? Why cant I pay in store with my credit card? Or MORE IMPORTANTLY! What if I don't HAVE a credit card? What if I can ONLY pay cash?! Now I can't use the application because I don't have/want to use a card?! I can't see any reason for this change and it has resulted in a big decrease in my consumption of Chipotle.
  • Add new menu items and remove auto gps

    When I get off football lifting after school, I need protein, and my first choice is chipotle. I’ve gotten awkwardly mixed up about 3 different times now when I order and show up but they say I don’t have an order. I think that the location should stay the same as last time and that you should be prompted with a pop up saying, ”are you sure you want to place your order at ............”. This would directly address the person on the phone and make sure that they are correct on their location. Also, I come from a family of picky eaters, meaning that some members like simple things such as cheese quesadillas and sides of rice. One time I tried to order a cheese quesadilla the way an online post told me to and just get a kids one without the rest of the meal, that backfired!! I ended up with a cheese quesadilla the size of my hand. I think that new items be added to the menu on the app just for those people who like the simple things you know? That’s how I feel but my experience with the app getting my burrito just for me is flawless. Thanks for reading!
  • Still needs work

    I’ve been waiting and waiting for Chipotle to improve the ability personalize the order. We always order triple-meat, and the app only allows an add-on for 1 extra portion. Which means if I have 5 burrito bowls, and only ONE of them requires triple meat...I can’t use the app. So I have to go stand in line and “surprise” the employees with my order of 5 bowls and the dreaded triple-meat request, and then they are annoyed because now all the steak is gone and the poor person behind me will have to wait if they wanted steak. Seems like an EASY fix to allow for more than one additional portion on the app—I mean we are willing to pay for the extra portions so why not? Also, there is NO place for additional comments/ if I want something on the side, there’s no way to specify that. Seems like easy fixes to me- not sure why the app continues to only be usable for the most basic orders only. Employee at store told me there are several things missing from the app (can’t order large wraps for example) that would save everyone a lot of time and frustration if they would just fix.
  • First time for everything right?

    Hi! Chiplote has now become one of my favorite places to go to get something quick with my family & friends. I was at my sons doc app & he goes “mommy I want Chiplote” so I’m thinking, okay. I can do that but it’ll take about an 30-45 mins before I can pick it up. I didn’t realize Chiplote had an app until about a month ago and I thought I deleted it. I’m sooooo happy I didn’t. It was so SIMPLE to order the food I wanted/my son wanted. A bowl & a create your own kids box. I give five stars because I felt like I could order it and have it waiting for me! I will say, the ONE THING I would change about the app is the layout of what you can add to your foods? Instead of having it as a list format, I would do a grid format. I think it would be so much better/nicer looking! The Ukiah Chiplote Team is also AMAZING! So helpful & cheerful & wanting you to leave the restaurant, HAPPY. Which, they did for me!
  • Give me a Quesadilla or give me comments!

    I love Chipotle (I used to work there during college) and I still love them to this day. However, that being said, the makers of the app either need to add the ability to comment specific instructions on your meal, like dietary allergies or prep messages, OR should create an option under Burritos for a quesarito or a Quesadilla. I went on the app to order an adult quesadilla for pick up, but there wasn’t an option for it. So instead I ordered a burrito instead with only steak and cheese, and when prompted for a name, wrote “quesadilla” since there wasn’t a space to include comments, hoping the crew would pick up and understand. I got all the way home before I opened the bag and realized they actually made me a burrito with steak, cheese, and lettuce. Now, to be fair, I should have called and made sure they knew I wanted a quesadilla instead of a burrito, and I absolutely will in the future, but it should also be included on their mobile ordering system.
  • Redesign makes user experience worse

    Pretty pictures don’t equal better UX. Now my default location between the 3 stores closest to me changes every time I open the app so I have to pick one every time something I did not have to do previously extra effort added - I have to swipe past Apple Pay to pick my credit card that I always use more extra effort - again just late me set a payment default - and now I have to swipe up to pay which is a pointless awkward gesture more extra effort - a button is still best in this situation people or a quick swipe right - and the up swipe does not work well on top of it - the in the Oder view the list items have the controls in them so when you scroll up the list you inevitably select things you don’t want by accidentally tapping on them - however I do like that all my order details are on one screen now - but don’t break all the UX that was working - one step forward 3 steps back - come on you can do better than this Chipotle

    But now it’s changed and they get my online order right every time. The app has been updated to wear you have to put a credit card on file and pay for the order in advance. At first I wasn’t a fan of this buy now it’s so easy!! You repay and then my husband walks up to the cashier and dinner is handed to him and no wait ever!! People in the long lines give him dirty looks but hey they can do it too. Only takes a few minutes to order and chipotle will have it done within 10-15 minutes! They must have had new management turnover because it’s really good. Fresh and plenty of it! The orders used to be screwed up and when you took the lid off it was half full. Now it’s perfect almost every time ! And you can trust this app with your credit card or debit card. No issues so far!
