This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install WhatsApp Messenger on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .
Personally, I recommend the "B" option as Bluestacks is very popular so if you run into any trobles using it, you can find good solutions on Google or Bing (lol).

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use WhatsApp Messenger for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type WhatsApp Messenger in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on WhatsApp Messenger application icon. A window of WhatsApp Messenger will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the WhatsApp Messenger icon. Click on it and start using the application.

App Reviews

  • Great app. Couple recommendations!!

This app has so far been very useful and reliable for me. I would absolutely love to see a couple features added that I believe wouldn’t be too difficult! If you can add a feature to give the option for speeding up the playback of long voice messages that would be amazing! I am getting this app to replace Voxer, which now has way too many bugs to even reasonably try to use for professional applications anymore. We use these apps to have a group chats active for our studio that we run. So far this app is very solid and working great, but I do really miss the ability to speed up those long messages, as we are using it primarily for voice since the subject matter we discuss in these groups is often too much to type. Also in a group chat, it would be excellent if there were notifications right in the chat window to let you know who has seen the message and who has not seen the message, like the way Facebook messenger/Voxer does. I know you can access that information but it’s in a sub menu and not something you can just see at a glance. Just thoughts and recommendations on things that I feel would round the app out and make it a serious workhorse!! Thanks for the great app otherwise!
  • So cheesy

So I decided to download this a week ago. I’ve used it in the past with talking to friends in the military because their cell service didn’t cover where they were stationed at. But the reason I feel that I’m finally posting a review. I had lost touch with a truly good friend 7 yrs ago due to me being in a dangerous situation and had to cut all contact with everyone in order to stay safe. But when I came out of hiding I couldn’t get a hold of my friend. For 7 years I continued looking on every app, social media, the number I had never seemed to work or not be answered. I downloaded this app on Tuesday to talk to a military friend once again and synced my contacts. & who did I find on here, my friend from 7 years ago. We talked and we both have been in shock and the happiest ever. Because they were looking for me too. But with all my old emails and numbers that no longer existed. If it wasn’t for this app I wouldn’t have been reunited with my long lost love & friend. Thank you WhatsApp! I have cried many times over os grateful that things like this exist because you never know, I might’ve never found them and it was by chance that I downloaded this app. :’D
  • Customer support does not answer emails. App was better before the updates

There used to be a feature on iPhone WhatsApp where you could hide the sender’s name, but still receive a notification and all it said was “notification”. That was a plus for me in terms of keeping my privacy but still being alerted of an incoming message. Since the recent updates, that no longer exists. There are only options on lock screen to 1) see the sender and message 2)see the sender and hide the message 3) do not see the notification at all. I have reached out to support MANY times to ask if they would be bringing back the option of not seeing the sender but still seeing the notification as “notification” but the customer support team either IGNORES my email or sends me the same message every time with the above 3 options, even after explaining EXACTLY what the situation is. Every time I write to them, I forward them the thread from before, either the unanswered or the previous reply that didn’t answer anything. Support still does not pay attention to my question. As a result, I have to turn my notifications to not show on lock screen. This app was way better before. And customer support doesn’t pay attention to what you’re actually asking them.
  • Bad connection?

Overall my experience with this app has been fairly well. But I have a boyfriend in Saudi Arabia; for some reason it does not connect very well over there. Or does not work very well. Every time I try to make a video call or a voice call it has bad connection, static, or just disconnects altogether. It has worked in every other country but I have been to or have friends in that country I have called and I have had no problem. Some of these have been Third World country some of these are bustling busy countries. It doesn’t matter it’s worked everywhere except for Saudi Arabia for some reason and this is the most important one that I need to keep contact with because my significant other is over there. So it’s very frustrating but over all this app has been well very good services and lay out the calling is free I can do group chats and group calls which is very convenient because we can’t do that in FaceTime and it keeps me connected world wide with all of my friends and family and I love it. Besides that I am just very unhappy with the connection over in Saudi Arabia. It may be from strict censorship in that country or just the app.

I’m so blessed that I am living up to the age of 66 and can enjoy the esp. the phone facility on what’s app!! Now we can use what’s app all over the world to talk with our near and dear ones. What to talk about overseas calls to use phone for local calls in India was a dream. Not everyone could have/ or afford to have phone in their homes. And I remember if one home had telephone how all the neighbors in emergency used that phone. And oh! Trunk calls if the call was placed out of the city. Had to wait for the operator to connect us. And to call from USA to India was always painful because we talked to our family but constantly looked at he click as not to talk more than 5-10 minutes. It was pretty expensive. And now people are chatting for hours with their family and friends! Wow it is a blessing to have what’s App! Long live and all our blessings to all the people who invented this App! What an invention and what a technology! Every time I use what’s app to call my family I bless the person and technology who gave us this opportunity to do so .Thanks!!
  • FINALLY CONNECTED WITH FAMILY IN CHINA!

After 8 years of my cousin living in Guangdong province in China, we both agreed on which service to use. That was easy, as several of my family and friends had been using “What’s App” to make contact seamlessly, and without flaws! China is a country with several restrictions, including many social media outlets, like Facebook and Twitter. But “What’s App” is not one of them. My first conversation with my cousin was on Christmas. Keep in mind I live in the PNW, and where my cousin is in China he’s 16 hours ahead of me. Normally we’ve been able to chat when it’s 6pm here and it’s 9am the next day in China. I’m very happy to leave this 5⭐️ Feedback. It’s reconnected my family and I couldn’t be happier. Also note, there are NO hidden costs or fees to use this. There are NO time restrictions; such as a certain time that you must use this app to avoid ant charges. Again, it’s 100% FREE! It’s works with your phone’s internet service, a lot like iPhone’s messenger does.
  • Keeps spread out families close

We first found WhatsApp when one of my children went to school in Australia for a year. I was amazed that the texts were transmitted also instantly. And as my children grew up and moved away from out rural city, being part of a group chat allows up to interact almost, but not quite, as good as if we were all in the same house. We’ve even had real-time, or near-time runnings jokes and ridiculous selfie-wars. I also keep close contacted with my family on the individual level. E.g., I send photos of strange foods to one daughter. Further, when one of my married children visits with their family, or a few unmarried children come, I can make quick temporary group chats, such as July 2017. I’m also a member of two groups for the women in my community. One is just for Announcements. So much easier than having to call everyone individually or try to keep a telephone-call-chain going. The other quality about WhaysApp is making long distance audio or video calls for free. Finally, and very importantly, this app runs circles around the text messaging service that’s already loaded on your phone. Videos load faster, and I rarely have a problem with the service. VERY rarely, like maybe twice in 8 years, if that. The only drawback, if you want to call it that, is that you need to have internet service, and it must be on, to use the app. For me, it’s worth it a hundredfold.

It's just the way you have hard changed the notifications that is very unimportant and unimaginable. I miss the notifications from before this update a lot. Every time a message comes, it says Message. On the lock screen it says Message. No meaning lf from whom or which group the message is coming from. I won't know if I can ignore the notification or not. I accidentally open each and every message whether or not it is important. Why do you have to fix something that is perfectly working. The reasons you only would know! I am sure there would be lot of people who are not on board with this change. Please fix it. ***** Update: thank you for providing the fix for the notifications. But still I fail to understand why it had to be this way. As earlier it was working fine and now it has to be explicitly setup. The same fix, if could be added in update notes, would be helpful for all the users annoyed by it. Thank you.
  • AMAZING APPLICATION!

I have been using WhatsApp for more than three years now. Not only do I enjoy the fact that all of the phone calls are free, so are the sharing of photos and videos. Last last year they also added a “FaceTime” like application. Another wonderful part is how easy it is to send pictures and videos as long as 3 to 4 minutes without having to cut them. I also like that you can see when people have checked your messages or whether they are online. You can adjust the privacy of course but it’s nice to know. It is also easy to create group chats. Which is great for school and group mom chats for example where you will be able to send birthday photos or videos between each other. Although i live in the United States, I rarely use iMessage anymore. I strongly recommend this app. Also especially if you have family or friends who live abroad....
  • Camera takes fuzzy photos every time

    By kylehotchkiss
WhatsApp in general is fine. But every photo I take in the app is fuzzy; and more zoomed in than my normal photos app. It’s like they are putting camera in video mode and taking a screenshot. I guess this is part of their cross platform library but still, I wish it would let the camera app use more native and high quality functionality. Additionally, it’s wayyy too easy to send things to the wrong person. You can’t remove people from “recently contacted” or “frequently contacted” prompts around iOS for sharing. I’m terrified I will send my girlfriends brother something immodest because his name shows above hers even though our chat volumes are way different. WhatsApp is a globally loved tool but has some pretty strange UX issues given its financial backer and experienced staff. I will continue to use it as most of the world doesn’t have iMessage; but if they did; I don’t think I’d miss the WhatsApp app that much.
