After being employed for over 10 years and being suddenly laid off I was a bit rusty on how to go about looking for a job in this new day of age. With all the social media and websites I didn’t know where to begin. I went to google And looked up job search - that’s when I saw the indeed website. I was in my iPhoto and downloaded the app right away. I signed in , made an account and uploaded my resume. That was the best thing I could have done. Immediately I had access to hundreds of jobs I could easily send my resume too, I was notified of when a prospective employer was Looking at my resume. I was easily accessible to the employer through the indeed app that allows me to sort my job searches and save them. It kept my jobs that I submitted my resume to in a separate easy to find location. This made it so much easier to keep track of everything. I even was able to do my phone I interviews on there - which I l loved!! Needless to say I found my amazing job and I’m very, very happy with the outcome. INDEED is the ONLY app you need when your searching g for a job. Now if only life was that simple. The creators are geniuses - they have thought of not only the employers seeking employees but of the employees seeking employers , and Hi packaged it up all nice and pretty. I love this app!!!
  • Companies listing salaries for non salaried jobs

I understand that some employers would not be able to post ads without salary included. However it is not professional to advertise x amount as a salary due to "law of averages" or "top earners in the past". This is false advertising to the applicants who get conned all the way up to the interview. Imagine showing up in your Hugo Boss suit because you think you're interviewing for a $75-85,000 a year Account Management position... just to find out it's a group interview for seling life insurance door to door at 100% commission based pay. "Paid training(performance based)" means no guaranteed pay. If there is no guaranteed pay, it is false advertising to allow these employers to present them as salaried jobs. Indeed job market is flooded with BS sales position disguised as "setting you up with your own business". It is becoming a field of door to door, or retail face to face commission based jobs. "Direct marketing" is also the new guise for door to door. It is pretty disgusting. As the leader in the field, you should feel obligated to improve the overall quality of the employers you allow to post jobs, especially ones with fake salaries, lies about health insurance and benefits, and allow them to only create ads in their own "performance based, commission only, no benefits, direct marketing" circle of nonsense. Do your part. Help clean this up for the hungry applicants and employers who want to work. Thank you.

I have been using indeed for almost a full year now for free and I have had amazing results. I have applied and sent my resume into many different potentially employers, to be exact I have applied to 56 different positions and amazingly I have had someone personally respond with an email from the company itself asking for an interview that day or over the phone interview that same day, out of the 56 positions applied for, I had 43 responses like the one I described, I recommend indeed to anyone and everyone looking for a career change, it is so easy and once you create your resume you literally just click to apply to most jobs although some may want you to fill out an application as well, as long as you save your information once you open the application online it will pretty much already be filled out using the information from your indeed resume as long as you save it. Indeed is truly amazing and has made it so easy for myself to follow my dreams and goals without all the hassle and stress that usually causes most people to say “forget it”, thank you Indeed! Sincerely, Jason Lopez

Love this site, Love this app- Don’t love writing resumés, Don’t love the repetitive and time-consuming process of filling out job applications-lol HOWEVER- This site, n their app..(???) SMASHED that noise comPLETELY, thus seriously upping my game out there on the hunt. I’d have to say my favorite feature is the APPLY NOW button- seriously, - I just push that button, and it sends the job app, all filled in n everything..(!!) Their resumé feature makes the entire process of building a resumé, and job hunting in general, SUPER easy- to put a resumé together, all you do is fill in the blanks w/ your info- freakin awesome. They also offer the option to fill in job apps w/ resumé info..saves so much time, and spares the headaches. Everyday there are nearly, up to, and over, 1,000 jobs listed in my specified search area; which, to me, is not only surprising, but also motivating and keeps me optimistic. Approx 2 yrs ago I landed, not one, but 2- jobs, simultaneously,(!) using Indeed and their services. So it is to everyone, I say: THE JOBS ARE DEFINITELY OUT THERE- and Indeed will find them all for you. And apply to them for you. And keep track of them all for you..lol yeah but seriously though, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- personally, and professionally.
  • Great app but could still use some updates and changes

This app pulls jobs from many different sites, which helps from having to search multiple sites, but they don’t pull from all of them. Due to this, I still check 2 other apps. It would be great if the app had more search options on mile radius, if you could sort postings by date or most recent (like they offer on their online site) or even all the advanced search options that are offered online would be nice to have on the app. When checking new jobs it would be nice if those were the only ones that showed up instead of having to sort through old postings - especially when you have the option of viewing “new” or “all” and they show you all of them regardless. I wish the jobs you already viewed wouldn’t show up again on multiple pages - do you know how annoying that is to sort through and read the same stuff over and over? Especially when I’m a busy person and parent that tries to check new postings in the couple spare minutes that I have each day. If they could make these changes, it would definitely get 5 stars!!!!

*Updated 3/2/18* Since the latest update, this app is horrible!!! The format is harder to read and I only seem to be getting jobs from certain categories not all the jobs. I generally work in two areas: HR and accounting. The jobs I’m mainly seeing are for customer service. I’ve checked my filters numerous times and it doesn’t specify the job type anywhere so I don’t know how to fix it. App constantly says there was an error connecting. Used to use this app all the time.....now it’s just frustrating. Started out great.....seems like nothing but problems since the last update. Generally it will say (for example) 64 new jobs in my area....when I click on the link to scroll through the new jobs it suddenly changes to (for example) 23 new jobs and then when I go to the next page it says 58 new jobs. Very frustrating!!!! Also I've noticed a huge increase in the number of "sponsored" job postings. These are highly annoying as most are well over 30 days old.....
  • Great app!

I use this app almost every single day. I still have not found a job but that is because I am looking in a small geographical area in a very specific field. I would give it a 5/5 but I have two problems. 1. Since the new update a few weeks ago I cannot find a way to delete recent searches on my phone. I can on my IPad. There isn’t an edit button, they don’t slide to delete, and I can’t hold them down to delete like other apps. I search a lot and I like to delete some of them. And 2. Once I’ve looked at the new available jobs and return home it tells me the jobs are still there even though I have viewed them. That’s just annoying but I would prefer to be able to delete searches at my leisure. I love everything else about this app but those two things since the update a few weeks ago have bothered me to the point I would rank it as less stars. Thanks for listening, hope it’s fixable.

Indeed has a lot of job sources however I've been using indeed for quite a time now since my unemployment which is now going on 3 months . I've had difficult experiences that I find to be unprofessional at 2 businesses. I applied for paratransit CCT connect in Frankford area or Philadelphia and the application of course went through got offered a position however after going through paper work and 3 days of training then the job tells me I'm not old enough after signing over my signature and giving them info such as my social and i.d . And Which I found to be unorganized and a waste of time And i recently had an interview with Ace check cashing in West Philadelphia and I got offered a full time position in which they never called me back for training and when I reached out I never got a answer or response which is very unprofessional, a waste of time and money .and of course this is after papers for employment were signed . Indeed needs to open the site to business who actually wants to hire people not waste their time .
  • Best Job Seeking App EVER!!

So out of all of the job boards and apps featuring open job postings, this has to be by far THEE BEST! I used Indeed very frequently. Not only do they post current openings, they also have information about the company. Similar to how Glassdoor (also another fav) will tell you about the company’s culture & interviewing process, Indeed does the same. You have jobs where you can easily apply within the app without having to visit an external site - convenient! Employers may also respond to you in the app if they’re interested. The notification will go to your phone & it also sends you an email, in case you’re away from your phone. Also super convenient! I love how it tells you how long ago the job was posted and also how many people have already applied. To me, that sets realistic expectations. I can keep going & going, it is just an all around great app!

My son has used this sight and others like it for over a year. He's educated and well qualified. Yet he has received only a handful of interviews and no offers of employment. The frustration of having to apply without the benefit of using his likability and good presence is reducing him to hopelessness. It is not from a lack of effort. The amount of time he has devoted to filling out applications and searching job sites like this one, is far beyond what it should require to acquire employment. Canvassing only furthers his frustration as businesses direct employment inquiries to their website or related internet search engines. I see a young man full of promise losing faith in his country and it breaks my heart. Nothing is as fulfilling as landing the job you worked so hard in school to obtain. But it seems as though the heart as been torn out and the experience reduced to a band width of anonymity. It is only one man's opinion. I hope your experience proves otherwise.
