Huff Post is a liberal-leaning publication. It is my go-to when I have had enough of this administration’s lies and divisive rhetoric. Though I know that I must take in the news from other avenues, to maintain a well-balanced news diet, The Huff Post seems to me to be my shelter in the storm. With that said, I report to you that I have never bothered to comment on the news. It seems that you “used to read Huff Post frequently, and for that I am glad. However, if you (a conservative), are giving Huff Post one star because you feel your comments and arguments aren’t showing up as much as others with a more slanted view, then you don’t quite understand what they do. Their job is not to provide you with a soap box and perhaps they feel it’s more important to highlight extremist. Perhaps to hear whiney drivel that espouses apathy for the human condition and rhetoric that caused you you vote against your own self interest is so repetitive that they just can’t.... So, little snowflake, take your butthurt, emotional, whine and go post your opinion somewhere else.
  • Liberal dissenters, be advised!

    By Sassafras guy
CENSORSHIP WARNING! I lean to the left side in politics, as Huffpost seemingly reports and writes its stories for liberal minded viewers. I used to read Huffpost everyday when I wasn’t busy at work. Slowly I began to realize that my comments and replies to others’ comments were disappearing. Huffpost’s moderators apparently are given such freedom in selecting what comments are used for view to others that they can, and will, delete comments from subscribers that are too dissenting in their rhetoric or even tone. Huffpost claims to be a democratic favoring institution, yet seems to work effortlessly to suppress expressions from those who hang too close to the center of the political tree. When I saw comments from hard-right conservative trolls engaging in a manor that seemed to intentionally annoy and get a rise from the majority of (liberal minded) readers while my comments were wiped away as if they never existed, showed me that Huffpost is probably just wanting to the liberal propaganda machine to counter that of Fox News. ***I couldn’t even get a response back from any of the three emails I’ve sent out over the issue and ask what could be problem, suggesting they know what they were doing and have no intentions to acting appropriately with their readers.***
  • I Love the Huff

    By St Willys
The Huff Post delivers the latest news coming out of Washington and or the world. The material is well researched, truthful, and comprehensive. I wake up and the Huff is the first thing I read, then I read my local newspaper, which sadly is like snail mail to email. I love the news stories and the opinions as it gives me perspectives I never thought about. I really enjoy being connected via the Huff Post. I receive the web site quickly, and clearly. I am able too navigate the site with either a tap or a swipe. I fully recommend this site for all your latest news stories, especially when calling out all the crooked politicians. They know who they are after the Huff reports on them.
  • New comment page

    By Cashesdad
Your new comment page , which is not a place that offers any way to have an actual “conversation “,yet you still refer to as a “conversation “ is lousy at best . We can make a comment and “like or unlike and that’s it. We throw a pebble in the lake and then we never get to see any ripples or how far those ripples have gone. With that in mind ,who’s going to bother to even pick a stone up. Some might not even visit the lake ,which is not what your looking for. If you would only look at the, massive decrease in the number of comments per story that have continued to drop daily since Monday, perhaps you might recognize that you have created a big problem for yourselves and you have a lot of discontented readers who will no longer bother hitting that comment button. I’m one of those people who won’t bother any longer. If I could give you less than one star ,I would. Thank you
  • Permanently Deleted HuffPost App Today

    By Chico21115
I have been a loyal HuffPost app user for many years, and until recently used the app many times a day. It was one of my favorites. In recent months, however, the quality of the site has steadily declined with more and more “garbage” content, intrusive ads, and quirky site performance - especially ever slowing app openings, and a bright white flash at the start. When I went to open the app today, a horrible notice appeared asking me to give the app full access to all the data on both the device I am currently using, and all of my other devices. It appears to me that Cambridge Analytics might have closed down its business, and now has fully taken control over HuffPost. I immediately deleted the HuffPost app from all of my devices, and will NEVER go back to it. I hope that everyone else does the same.
  • Huff post

    By survive!
A repeating breath of fresh air in a flood of fetid, petty, self-aggrandizing sewage gushing out of our elected leaders. My fear is that we may never recover from the ongoing dismantling of decades of hard won advances in the social contract that has defined us as a people. The contrast between what Obama had finally (after a congressional blockade in his first term) been able to accomplish and the rearward rush led by an illiterate, ignorant self absorbed POTUS is almost blinding. It is a tribute to how far we have come that you can still continue to publish. Trump’s assault on the free press that has separated us from hundreds of years of world wide suppression cannot not be allowed to succeed.
  • Great app

    By ECDan
I really enjoy the Huff Post app. Great content. Unapologetically left leaning news content, plus lifestyle and specialty topics. Also, very responsive tech support. Had a problem with the app recently where I couldn’t change the font size to adjust for ease of reading. Sent email to their tech support help , they responded right away saying that it would be corrected in their next update. Sure enough, they kept my email and followed up emailing me when the update was complete and confirming that font adjustment was re-added to their settings. Definitely a daily go-to app!
  • Race Baiting & Fear Mongering

    By BBRT
I’ve been reading the Huffington Post on my iPad for years, but I’m seriously questioning their ethics. Today’s headline read: “12 Yr Old Black Kid has Police Called on Him for Mowing the Lawn.” With current national headlines exposing often racially biased people calling police on African-Americans in non-threatening situations, one would think from the Huffinton Post’s headline that it had happened again in Cleveland. I believe in a fair and balanced news media and am appalled at the President’s attack on our free press. But today the Huffington Post gave the mock moniker of Fake News full legitimacy. This story has absolutely nothing to do with racists intentions. The race of the young boy is inconsequential. The neighbors who are African-American themselves, called the police, because of a property line dispute, not because a black boy was mowing the lawn. I believe the HuffPost must have adopted Facebook’s business model of generating chicks through negativity. Facebook discovered that negative news garnered more clicks. There is no other reason why HuffPost would stoop to this tactic ... they must be fanning people’s fears ... exactly as the President does. In either case it is unacceptable. It is a racially misleading article. Shame on them.
  • “Bug fixes and performance enhancements”

    By K123!
This is just developer speak for “we have found more ways to shove ads down your throat, make articles more difficult to read, and make it more challenging to decipher real news from sponsored news.” This is still my go-to news source, but the user experience is getting worse and worse. For instance, I like to read the comments (for fun) after I read an article. But the comment icon is not at the end, it disappears! I have to scroll all the way back to the beginning, past the 2 or 3 full-screen ads they put in there, to get that comment icon to reappear. DO BETTER HUFF-POST!
  • The calm and fury’s time

    By Chester Ben
I was glued to my TV most of them are the day. (You can do that when you are retired.) I would not want is my name dragged through the mud as that! Instead of asking important questions such as “how do you feel about Row vs Wade", they are asking him questions about his trip habits and what happened 36 years ago. Who cares? And what does it matter anyway? I ended up screaming at the TV or whomever was present. I wanted to know positions and how he felt about issues. I will have to say that the Republicans won this round and Democrats looked really sad losing.
