  • Most biased news provider in the world

    By dbaker19821982
I quoted the presidents word, the exact word that was in the title of the article S hole* and my comment got deleted. I enjoy reading an article and then commenting on it. That’s what I do. I believe Yahoo! Knows that is what a lot of their readers do. So I think they delete any popular comment that doesn’t match their agenda. It’s wrong to do, this is America and they shouldn’t silence people’s opinions. Sure I understand deleting vulgar comments, racist comments, etc. but to delete a comment just because it’s getting a lot of likes and it doesn’t match the agenda of the article! Do yourself a favor and find a different news provider. Not to mention, half of the time when I’m commenting on a news article I’ll get my whole comment typed and then I submit it and it suddenly disappears. Another glitch. This app is notorious for it. If you copy something to your clipboard and then paste it into the comment section, it won’t let you post your comment. It’s just a messed up app. Don’t waste your time.
  • SNAFU of the highest order

    By FamilyGoToGuy
The App would be alright if it wasn’t for the constant issues and glitches. They’ve really mucked it up royally with the latest update. The picture book format is for the birds (or little kids). Comments and/or replies won’t post at random. Comments history shows your posts under the wrong article, so you can’t link right back to the corresponding article, you’ll open something entirely different instead, comments and replies cannot be deleted often times, they keep showing up in your comment history on and off for all eternity it seems, I am absolutely fed up with the regular: Oops, something went wrong. Try again later! Censorship is at an all time worst. Perfectly good words and phrases will prevent a comment from being posted because YAHOO has some unfathomable issue with it, etc. etc. At this point the app seems to be in desperate need of a total rework. Going to use Apple News for a while. I JUST DELETED THE APP. ENOUGH WITH THIS NONSENSE!
  • Just the news, please.

    By colbyhouse
I used to enjoy getting news alerts on my phone letting me know any headline stories that may be happening at the moment, but every time I feel my phone buzz now with a news story, it’s another heavily slanted story slamming the president for every little thing he does. It’s obvious what your company’s political views are, and most of the stories I read are poorly written containing a disorganized format as if the writer is writing from pure emotion and anger to the point they can’t even think clearly, Let alone report the news. If this continues I’m probably going to have to remove the app from my phone and find a more unbiased news app that actually reports news stories. I have enough stress in my life without having a bunch of whiny, poorly written opinion stories popping up constantly on my phone. I used to enjoy using this app, and it’s a shame you’ve allowed your editors to turn your company into a far left propaganda machine.
  • Good news

    By News van
I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about, but I find this news app to be very very well set up has plenty a links to follow other things and plenty of good top-quality stories that you would never hear about about other news organizations. I like reading a story that I haven’t heard from someplace else that you would normally not even seen. When I read the news and I have a couple news apps this is the first one I go to and usually end up staying on keep up the good work. You got a good thing going so let’s keep it going thank you for all the energy in with Hooked on the news Doug
  • Terrible update

    By Jsodd
The latest update has left the app with glitches that make it too frustrating to use along with terrible features. The slideshow picture book for headline stories is terrible and doesn’t give much information. This is a news app, let me read the news. I don’t need a slideshow to look at pictures. On top of that the app constantly opens different articles than what I clicked on. For instance, if I click to read the fourth article down then most of the time it will send me to a new article because the app hasn’t updated the article order yet. The same thing happens if I open an article and close the app to finish reading later. The next time I open the app it was automatically send me to a different article that has taken the place of the old article. Just a bad update.
  • Biased

    By L Suzanne
I enjoy reading letters from this APP but it seems like it is leaning far left like the Tampa Bay Times which only seems to like to print stuff dissing the president. I love reading the paper every morning and your news section but the paper is so biased that I will soon cancel it. It it needs more articles about the good things the president and republicans are doing. Please send some good news from both sides and I will keep reading from this news app. It may well be the only thing I read in the am with My coffee if the Tampa Bay Times doesn’t find writers who print good stuff from the right. Many people I know have already canc. the paper but still use this app.
  • Has really gone downhill

    By KriftyMax
This used to be my go to news app for years. Not any longer. 1. Loud videos suddenly start. I’ve searched settings and cannot find a way to stop loud videos from jarringly startling me. I read late at night and in quiet places. I want control of the sound and Yahoo has wrestled that control away. Non negotiable. 2. They have changed the format to slow moving pictures with a few words underneath. Slow, uninformative, and a major waste of time. Uninformative. 3. The whole app has moved towards a stylistic look and away from a news feed. Glam over substance. If I wanted some stylistic slick app, I would download one. What a shame. 4. I want news. Just news. Articles with a headline and something to read, along with a simple photo or two. The news is no longer first and forefront on this app. What happened to this NEWS app? I deleted the app after the recent terrible changes. Waited a few weeks and decided to try again. Reloaded it just now. Second story I clicked on immediately had a loud. Loud. Loud. LOUD newscaster blabbering on. It was jarring and uninvited. It wasn’t labeled as a video, looked like a news story. Again checked settings, unable to mute the news videos Deleted the app again. Going back to other news feeds
  • Poor sources

    By Catboater
About every other time I "Newsroom," they bug me to read and review the app. So, here goes: not much to say good or bad about the content itself as for the most part they are simply repeating "news" from other sources, a few reliable, most unreliable and biased like Huffington Post on the one hand, or FOXNews on the other. I use the app because it is generally handier than buying a newspaper; as with the newspaper, one must continually "read between the lines" in order to get a sense of what's going on out there minus the liberal or conservative bias. As far as their constant requests to rate and review, when the request appears it is impossible to respond to it without closing out of the app and going to the App Store. It is a veritable nuisance, so now that I have written a review I hope it won't happen again.
  • Say something good about our President once in a while. 2017

    By SamnJanetEvening
Donald Trump hasn't done anything good for the American people? Seems like yahoo and it's liberal commenters are stuck in a bash mode rut. And the post button is really in a bad location. Many times I've been cut short by accidentally hitting the post button too soon and I noticed I'm not the only one. Same with the article love Heart. Other than that, I'm very grateful for yahoo and the ability to comment. It's been a lot of fun and very entertaining. Thank you for everything. 2017. I feel pretty much the same this year , Oct. 2018. It’s a fabulous thing to send your comment on different issues where the whole world can see how you feel, I wish Yahoo was more to the right politically.
  • Please think about what you are reading news or opinion ?

By Blair witch project redux ?
I wrote a well balanced review suggesting people of any side read with critical thinking. They took down my review. I guess that’s pretty much an admission that they are not a news site but rather a liberal opinion site, which is fine. But don’t call yourself news. There are too many young people who don’t know that just because it’s on a site called news doesn’t really mean its news. Let’s see if my review, which reflects my opinion lasts more than a week this time. I wonder if the deep state will be knocking on my door or going after me now ? If I really used Yahoo I wouldn’t call them out for their bias because all of these web providers have powers dictators could have never even dreamed of. If I actually used them I doubt my websites would even work after writing this
