As a business owner, yelp and really help your business and it can really hurt your business. I am really upset about two different issues but it’s really one big issue: 1) I get they want to screen reviews but not all of us have yelp accounts... if I get a positive review, but that person only has 1 or 2 other reviews or is not an active yelp user, it doesn’t count. This upsets be because I work REALLY hard to get these positive reviews that nobody ever sees. 2) I received 1 negative review (I own 2 businesses, both on yelp... this was my first negative review.). This review had NOTHING to do with my business. I also had NO idea who the lady was or that I even offended her. I was driving and I guess I cut her off. I had no idea, I also tried calling to apologize because she called my office to complain. How are these related? Because yelp screens my positive reviews but doesn’t screen my negative one. I feel this review clearly does not relate to my business, customer service, or workmanship. I would like to also see yelp have a customer review section for business owners. If a business serves a rude and difficult customer, the business should be allowed to review that customer and let other businesses know what kind of customer they are going to be dealing with.
  • Rip off company

Yelp needs to be removed from the internet. They are liars and cheats. We work hard to have our company profiled as a top rated company. But when we get 5 star rating with an excellent review...YELP pulls the review and puts ii in NOT RECOMMENDED REVIEW!! Who the hell are they to override a customers opinion. The customer takes time out to do this review and YELP has the audacity to remove it for no reason, except to hurt our business. If you don’t pay anything for YELP, then they penalize you by removing your best reviews. This way the payers that pay for yelps advertisement get the benefits such as no one star reviews and favoritism on keeping 5 star reviews. I will be removing my business from Yelp as I am on HOMEADVISOR, who treat us totally fair and they have a good customer service that is out to help us with any negative reviews that may occur. They will never pull a 5 star review. I would recommend HOMEADVISOR to all of Yelps customers and readers. I give YELP A negative 5 star review. There needs to be another ad company in the same category as Yelp, so we can join up with them and put YELP out of business. I can’t stand this company anymore. We will be out of this company very soon and pleased to do so because of their rip off policies and unfair treatment to us and everyone else. BOYCOTT YELP!!!

Yelp is awesome! I worked in the restaurant field for over 15 years. I don’t always judge a book by it’s cover but the reviews do help me to decide whether or not I will try a place out or not. I also enjoy writing reviews for restaurants. I also enjoy the fact that I can simply check an area and see what’s available in the area for delivery, dine in, take out, etc. The pictures also are a big help. I can tel just by looking at a photo whether or not food has been sitting around or is fresh. The reviews also speak for themselves, sometimes but I know that is why you filter ones out. I can tell the difference between a disgruntled employee, whether a customer is just wrong. (Sorry, sometimes they aren’t always right) I am also very understanding that sometimes places just have off days too. Either way, Yelp is extremely helpful in helping me to make a decision on where to eat. It also will help me see exactly how far away it is. There are many great features using the app. Thanks!

I love YELP and I’m a YELPER ! If you’re a foodie like myself and love to travel Yelp is very useful for getting a variety of reviews on restaurants, shopping, hotels, etc. I am a visual person so I love the fact that I can write a review or simply upload a picture of my experience. They say a picture is worth a thousand words 😇 Yelp is helpful because sometimes I am literally in a area for only a few hours ,or maybe a few days and I need to make quick decisions on where I want to eat or leisurely spend my time. Yelp helps me every-time and I enjoy sharing my experiences with others. Finally, in my opinion Yelpers are typically brutally honest about their experiences! This is important because I can make a sound decision based off some of the reviews and pictures, whether I want to patronize certain establishments. Often for me time is $ and $ is time... time is definitely of the Essence when I’m traveling! So what are you waiting on? Come on and join Yelp! I love my Yelp community and I’m excited to be YELPER 😇

This app is terrible. First, it’s awful that you can’t use the website without being asked every click if you want to download or use the app, so the website is poorly designed and run. Seriously - they ruin your mobile experience by posting ads for their own app! No surprise then that the app is a gateway to those disgusting “Congratulations iPhone user!” Pop up ads that lock your browser down. I would get several a day until I deleted this truly dreadful app, then they stopped for some reason... wonder why? Trip Advisor is a much better site that a) doesn’t require a pop-up laden app, and b) doesn’t blackmail restaurants for good reviews. Delete this app and I guarantee your mobile experience will improve 100%. Also a company that will not allow you to contact them is seriously bad business. I posted a bad review of a bad dining experience, and the restaurant “replied” by posting an advertisement and not addressing any of the issues. I asked Yelp to remove the ad, but they did nothing. Then - surprise! you can’t contact yelp in any way. Most of the “good” reviews for this crappy app are mistaken users trying to post reviews for restaurants and services - not the app itself.
  • Finally Learned Yelps Value

I never used Yelp until I moved from Las Vegas NV to Tucson AZ & suddenly found myself in a city where I didn’t know where anything was. No more Veterinarian or mechanics that I trusted, no more of any of the places that were a part of my life for all important services you need in your life. But with Yelp I was able to get trusted companies for any services needed by reading the reviews from people who have lived here for all their lives & have done their homework in finding people they can trust to do stuff like fix their car or take care of their pets. Everybody I found on yelp for a service has been a wonderful experience. And one of the things that makes it so great is that the companies cannot tamper with the reviews so you know what you see is really what you get. They’re not just posting the good reviews & ignoring the bad ones, so you get a real feel with what you’re dealing with. I only wish I would’ve learned about Yelp & given them a chance sooner.
  • HCG weight lost!Amazing!

I spent 40 days and followed the instructions and lost 20 pounds! I tried many different ways to lose weight but end up not great or sick. But HCG is amazing and totally health and safe! First start week felt a little dizzy but after were great, the food instruction is health and light, during the process actually it helps me cut down my sugar crave also shrink my stomach size by eating small meals. One thing I have to mention is take the pill on time, and drink lot of water, get enough sleep helped maintain body a lot. After the program, my weight did not change that much. I am still on regaining period, so far doing good with eating regular meals. What I recommend of this weight loss program is it actual helps you create a healthier eating habits and gives your general knowledge about what is good to eat what is not for daily meals. The doctor and assistant supervisor are super nice! Whenever I have questions they responded and instructed me immediately. Highly recommend!!!!
  • Needs the ability to let users choose how reviews sort

    2

I like the Yelp app for the most part, but I hate the fact that there is no option to choose how the reviews sort on the app like there is on the browser/desktop version. I want to be able to sort the reviews chronologically by date, or by highest/lowest rating, but there is no such capability on the app. Why have this ability on the browser version but not the app version? Especially considering that if you try to do view anything more than a couple of reviews on the browser version on a tablet or phone, it forces you to use the app to read the rest of the reviews (which is also insanely irritating). If Yelp makes this small adjustment to allow users to choose the sort of reviews on the app, they would get a higher rating from me. Not a fan of companies who develop their own “algorithms” for the order of how things display (ahem,Instagram). Let your users at least have the option to choose the sort. Chronological order by date for reviews just makes sense. Some random “Yelp Sort” that I can’t change makes no sense and makes me salty.
  • Transferring a location from internet to the app......

How is it still the case that when I’m forced into the app to view pictures or full reviews of somewhere, that the information is not transferred to the app??? If you’re going to force me onto the app to view something then by God you should load it up automatically when I get there. Instead, it brings you to the App Store, even when I already have the app downloaded, asks you to open the app, then for some reason you end up at the app’s home screen...... transfer the information over for chrissake. I cannot begin to explain how Unbelievably annoying this is. Sometime I want to look at several reviews on my phone throughout the course of a sitting, or throughout a day, and each time this happens. Either allow me to view everything without your app, or learn how to effectively bring me to your app with the information I was previously viewing. The fact that I have to go through this entire rigamarole every single time is quite ridiculous. There’s really no excuse for it here in 2018. Please fix that s#@% ASAP.... Thanks.....

I went to Carvel on Union Turnpike to purchase ice cream I got there I spoke to the manager who was on the register .. I told him to give me a minute so I can call my daughter so she could tell me what flavor she wants ..he just walked off then I had to call him to tell him I’m ready to place the order so he send young lady 5mins later to place the order the young lady I purchased two Sunday..Reese’s peanut butter cups and mint chocolate chip the young lady made the first order which is Reese’s peanut butter and the second oneMeant chocolate chip.. first he Trenched with chocolate syrup he put mint chocolate chip ice cream which is no problem then he choose his own topic did not ask me what I wanted so he put Oreo cookie crumbs on top.. then more chocolate syrup.. I was very disappointed that I called him and I told him that I did not like the way he made the ice cream that he did not have me pick the flavor I wanted he said that’s how the ice cream is made.. there’s nothing else he can do.. I called another location on liberty and they said it’s not true you get to choose what you want.. I will not go back there or I would advise anybody to go there because he has no people skills.. worst service
