App Reviews

  • New items?

    By Gothitasally
I know you’ve all seen this in the other reviews but why not add another to the pile. The game is pretty fun at first, because we’re getting new items as we play. It’s interesting and we wanna help the little stick guy. The levels seem like they’re getting harder because more and more letters are coming in. But at ~60 levels in, nothings happening. I haven’t played too far, but it seems that the hammer’s the last item. And the levels don’t get any more difficult. It seems it doesn’t go above 6 letters, and there’s so many 3 letter levels. We’re this far in, we don’t need anymore 3 letters. Overall the game is fun but so repetitive. If you want to lure the audience in with new items, then actually make new items. Don’t just stop after 60 levels.

Okay, let’s start off with from the start a stick figure prison escape isn’t exactly original (Henry Stickman Series) but ya know what it’s inspiration so that’s fine. What’s not fine is how repetitive this game gets. It’s the exact same thing no limits, no change no nothin. But a game like this could get so creative. Imagine if whenever you are given words you could spell things and some funny variation of that thing happened or you’d unlock a secret or at least if that’s too much work, show my progress after 22 ft there’s kinda no more items it seems and that hole never gets bigger. So much potential I really want this game to be great. On a side note thanks for not shoving in as many ads as possible.
  • Frustrating but not too bad

There needs to be a way for you to show when we will repeat letters in a word. The story is lacking majorly. Every day you see him digging but the hole is still as small as when he began making it. Progress is also ridiculously slow. I’m on day 140 and he’s still in the cell with the tiny hole and his progress goes up by 0.28 a day. It feels endless because he’s not making progress nearly as fast as when he started. I’ve only seen one cop and that was to give him wine. There has to be a way to add something to the story or speed up his daily progress.
  • Fun at first

I got to 41ft and quit because I was bored. Nothing new has happened since I hit 22ft. I thought the we'd get to keep supplying the prisoner with stuff like the hammer and watch him make his way through different parts of the prison. But after the hammer, nothing new has come up and the game gets repetitive. There's no timer I have to beat or limited number of tries to get the right word, or any thing that makes the game challenging, and now no story to keep the player engaged. 3 stars because potentially fun game anyway.
  • Story?

    By Vorric
I saw the name word story and the ad looked cool. But I am seriously disappointed because like many others I was expecting a story. I don’t mind the words being simple. But I thought I would get a group of letters and spell the things he needed to escape but like the others all he does is dig. It would be cool if he got out after level 10 and is digging a tunnel to get out and you see the tunnel. I wondered why nothing was happening so I came back to read the reviews and now I see why nothing is happening. It’s because there isn’t a story.
  • Maybe if the game even progressed a little bit

    By whydoievenplay
The game was slightly interesting at first with the story progressing, but after getting the hammer, it felt as if it did not progress at all. The animations are the same, no new tools to dig faster, and the levels did not get any more difficult. The game seems really badly made on MS paint and needs to have some sort of progression with difficulty and story, and if it does, make it come a little earlier. I continued playing all the way until 70 yards in hopes that I would progress but nothing changed after 200 levels.
  • False advertising!

    By shadowbop
This game was pretty enjoyable for the first 60 levels where you can get items to help you dig out of the cell. After that was just level after level of digging. I kept going because I wanted to do some of the things I saw in adds and the posters on this download page but on day 206 it said that I had escaped and it just shows my person looking at a beach and nothing else. This game could’ve been really good but just failed in its execution.
  • Repetitive

    By Rishanda21
I really liked the game at first, but it's the same thing over and over again. And when is this guy gonna escape? The ad for it made it look like there was a heck of a lot more than just escaping prison. This doesn't look anything like the advertisement. In the ad you had to fix the toilet so the stick guy could go to the bathroom and stuff like that. None of that is in here. I've only been playing this for a few days and I'm already bored.
  • Way to many advertisements

    By ukr0862
The game is pretty much what you think it would be.. the words however usually have nothing to do with the story.. but there is an advertisement between almost every word.. which makes me hate the game already.. there is not need to have that many.. I understand having some to pay for the game but even when you opt not to double your points it still showed 1 .. it’s pretty ridiculous
  • Boring and Easy

    By Odd_Ostrich
This is a great game to give a 4 year old learning to read but is completely useless beyond that. It’s called word story but there’s no story at all past day 15 or so. You’re left guessing 3-5 letter words that are so simple you can get it in under 2 seconds of looking at it, and it doesn’t matter anyways because there’s no timer or anything at all to make this difficult. I would really rather serve a life sentence than play this game. (There’s also grammar and spelling mistakes in the very little dialogue that exists).
