  • WHAT WIZARDRY IS BEHIND THIS TOUCHY SWIPE THINGY?

Good app for the kind of adventurous user that likes to get thrown into an app and left to figure out what Witchery is behind it all. Actually I have no idea who would like this. Personally, this pretty much sums up my UX so far: awkward. Im guessing this app was made by a wizard, voodoo priest, or tarot card deck that makes the app work rather than having boring AI run things. There’s no comprehensive onboarding so you are left with an app that centered on touch and swipe actions without a clue as to what you touch and swipe to make stuff do things. The concept of the whole touch based navigation widget is cumbersome! You REALLY gotta push and hold in order to use the thing. You can’t even customize it. In fact you can’t customize ANYTHING. No interface settings. You’re stuck. With this awkward button press thingy widget, a “homepage” of your most visited web page icons that you cannot alter, and a mysterious “My Flow” function, which questionably syncs your data somehow to your other chosen device. I’m giving this app 8 more hours to live on my iPhone and then I’m giving it back up to the mysterious forces of.. deletion.
  • Opera makes a comeback in the mobile world!

As an avid Opera user on PC/Mac and Linux, I became ecstatic when I saw their new browser here on iOS! For the first release wasn’t released to long ago, I think this is very good, and can’t wait to see what the future brings! Their desktop browser has been my main choice because of its ability to run on slower hardware, it is very quick especially with its Turbo mode, and it provides fairly decent customization and it is quite stylish. Way to go Opera! Can’t wait to see more here! 😁👍🏻
  • Bring back video downloading for FIVE STARS

FOUR STARS until old Opera mini premium features come back like video downloads (in the previous browser). Great ownership group with a great worldview. Looking forward to Opera Touch. EDIT: A few things after using a bit. Pornhub doesn’t load videos and needs to be whitelisted. How do I whitelist? Also, the menu button is too slow at the bottom, and I don’t want to have to hold it down and drag my finger to an option. I want to tap, then tap again my command. Even Force Touch would be a good addition.
  • Difficult to navigate back

I really like this app. As soon as I launch I’m ready to search. The problem I have is navigating back to the previous page. This app makes that slightly more difficult, almost like they want you to focus on just finding what your looking for right away and don’t consider the face you will probably need to back step and search a different link. If there was an arrow back in the current window you are using I think this app would be 5 stars.
  • Good idea but needs improvements to compete Safari

Hi guys! I have been using Opera desktop for years, so I tried this one. Seems a good beginning but needs improvement, for example: - enable 3D Touch, I use it a lot to preview websites and images in Safari. - Incognito mode (no cache, no nothing). - In Safari it takes me no time to go back to a page (I just click the back icon), in Opera I need to hold and swipe, takes to long, also to refresh the page, Safari is just pressing the icon, here I have to go to the top of the page, swipe down and hold. -The ability to not have top sites, just starred sites. As I user I want to spend less time clicking and extra steps doings things, so after using for a couple of hours I keep thinking: oh Safari has this better. To add some direct buttons is useful: reload, go back, close tab. Please add those features, I would like to support opera.
  • Almost Perfect

Only things so far missing for me is a dark mode, as in a true black one(Activity app is a good example), and for some reason if I try and save a GIF from Google or online, it saves a still image instead of animated. Looking forward to some updates to fix this issue and to hopefully bring dark mode. Thanks for the great work so far! Opera is my default desktop browser and would love to use it as my default on mobile as well.
  • Decent on iPhone, not iPad

    By LDMartin1959
Yes, I know..this app is designed for iPhone, not iPad. But the question behind that acknowledgement is: WHY? The iPad is not some new device that they didn’t have time to develop for. Apples development tools are designed to facilitate development and design for multiple iOS devices so there really is no excuse for this NOT being designed to properly support iPads. Since being bought out, the development of Opera products has been unfocused and inconsistent. It’s a shame, too. Opera used to be the best alternative browser family. Now it’s just another one of the bunch.
  • Best Browser On iPhone!

Love that I can transition from desktop to laptop to mobile and back without having to miss a beat. Definitely the most productive app on my phone. Only issue I have is the lack of use of iPhone’s 3D Touch feature. Would be get to open directly to My Flow without having to open the the app then swipe over. Overall, I’m very impressed. Continue the amazing work!
  • Great alternative to Safari

It takes a bit of getting used to but the one handed navigation is immensely intuitive. The integration with the PC Opera browser is excellent and exactly what I was looking for. I do wish the adblocking to have more options but it’s good enough I suppose.
  • Love it

This browser is the best in terms of features, functionality, and integration with your desktop. Would love it if you made the back button go back to the original page the link was on (ie google news)
