App Reviews

  • Beautiful but...

    By Kazetatsu
I wish I could give this game five stars. It was beautifully made, and I enjoyed the subtle nature of change that happened in the room including slowly unlocking new activities over time. This latter should be explained in-app. I was looking for things in screenshots before I was able to unlock them. However, it clearly caters to a singular worldview. Wiccan and feminist belief systems are strung through the game. I actually enjoyed some of them, like the alter with the little original blurbs on the found treasures, and the tarot cards. I was curious so it was fun to see what the game said each represented. However, I found that instead of being uplifting the game prolonged my bad moods. Mantras which might be affirming to one belief system were maladaptive to me. I couldn’t “give my own story to the room” nor customize the content to my own beliefs. I was still able to empathize with the character to an extent, but not in a way that was healthy for me. I wanted the character in the bed to get up, to go to other rooms of the house or look outside. When the sun rose, I wanted to be able to take the next step, get out of bed and see more of that character’s world. That the character couldn’t take that next step made it harder for me to take the steps I needed to get out of my own funk. I do think I could find this game calming, but only if it took a more neutral approach so that I could project my own meanings onto it.
  • Beautiful and Calming + Suggestions

    By MoonlitButterfly0503
I don’t usually leave reviews on apps but this app is just so magnificent that I just have to leave one! I enjoy the calming atmosphere it brings and how many activities there are. The more I play the more activities I can get access to! This app helps me calm down whenever I’m stressed with my daily day-to-day routines and gives me a little haven of sorts. There is two or three suggestions I would like to make though. I would like if you could add a nighttime mode depending on the timezone the user is in. For example, if it is morning, the sun would be up and there would be light coming in through the window. If it is night, there would be no sunshine and if you could, can you add in fairy lights for that time? Fairy lights could be an option that the user decides to have in their room depending whether they like them or not. These features I recommended might interfere with what you may add in the future but if it is possible to add these features in, I would love if you could! Otherwise, I give this app a solid five star rating and I would even give more stars if possible!
  • Beautiful, calming game!! #Selfcare

    By Hannality
I absolutely LOVE this game!! I have depression and have major anxiety and I think this is a perfect game for people with mental illnesses. I’ve tried other self-care apps and they just don’t do it for me. They would send me reminders to do things and I’d just get annoyed and bored within a week. But this app is different, it actually makes me calm and motivates me to get up and enjoy life for everything that it is. The music and art style really resinates with me. There are many things to do and explore but you have to be patient. Don’t listen to any of the bad reviews. This app isn’t like a normal game with levels, difficulty and an ending. This game is endless, it’s for you to block everything out and focus on your own well-being. There’s no notifications, you can stay for as long as you want and leave whenever and when you come back you’ll feel a wave of calmness every time. I really want to buy some plants 🌱 after playing this game. I can’t wait to see where this game goes 😊 Totally recommend for everybody
  • Absolutely the best!!

    By Biggggmannnnn
I have major anxiety and depression, and this app helps so much! I love the mini-games, especially the painting one, the laundry, the word game and the massage circle! I also have Crohn’s Disease, so sometimes I’m like the character - stuck in bed all day, so this really hits home! A suggestion: 1) Maybe a Magic 8-ball type of game (like a fortune telling game) where you can ask a question and it’ll “answer” with a variety of responses? The plant game is sort of like that (you can ask yes and no questions), but I love the magic 8 ball idea! 2) Include a dog to pet along with the cat. I’m a dog person at heart... 😊 3) A diary to jot down a few daily thoughts? Just a suggestion. In conclusion, this is an amazing app with plenty of relaxing games and features to help you calm down when you’re stressed. I LOVE this game, and I can’t wait to see where it goes! You have my full support, as well as my wife’s lol! I told her to get this, she plays it everyday! 😊🤗😍😊🤗😍😊🤗😍
  • Absolutely wonderful

    By Riri 5150
I just recently downloaded this app and I have found it so useful. I only learned today that new items are unlocked as you play but I was excited by the surprise of something new to interact with. When I feel nervous or angry (any strong emotion really) I go to the app to calm me. Even just listening to the music brings me peace. I appreciate that it is not too difficult to bring the life force back up because it helps me not get distracted or feel as though I will never make it full. I also enjoy being able to customize bits of the app (such as the rug, skin color of the person, and pieces of the interactive “games”). Personally I believe the game is very inclusive and puts a lot of thought into the words used. My only wish is that once the life force is full the person could get up or express somehow that they are ready to take the next step. Regardless, this is an amazing app. Thank you.
  • Soothing helper for anxiety

    By Freefallingfirefly
This app may not be a mental health cure, but gosh-darnit, it has been a big help for me. I don’t always use it when I’m having a bout of bad anxiety, but when I remember to, it offers a variety of soothing techniques to help come off of my anxiety, or to at least keep my hands busy until I feel up to facing the real world. There is a guided breathing mini-game that is especially helpful, and provides a handy visual aid that you can set the breathing pace to. The rest of the games utilize small, repetitive movements that keep you’re mind just busy enough without overloading it. On top of this, the diction the app uses is what I call “soft encouragement”. It is very soothing and encouraging without being overly optimistic or abrasive. It’s like one of your sweetest, most chill friends is talking you through your emotional pain. Overall, if you need a quick distraction, break, or pick me up for your mental health, this is a great app.
  • It’s a nice game but has one small problem.

    By Fairiah
I really do like the game! It’s very calming for me. I personally love the style, music, and the little games you can play! The only thing that I don’t like is the in-app purchases. I know it said it before I downloaded it and it’s stupid for me complaining about them, but in-app purchases make me kinda stressed. I would like it if you made it a little bit more noticeable that you had to buy them. I was confused until I finally understood that these things you have to buy these you don’t. Everything else is amazing, and I would like to be able to do much more in the room! Maybe when the sun is up all the way, you can actually do things on the computer or the phone. I’d love to see what other things you guys do with this! Summary: I really like the game! It’s very soothing for me, but please make the in-app purchases a bit more noticeable!
  • Best help so far

    By neonsiigns
I’m never really the type to leave full reviews but I feel like I need to with this app. A lot of the little activities have helped me a lot the past day, things have been really bad lately and I’ve been struggling to find any sort of retreat. My art and other games aren’t working the way they used to. The letter game and the cat are my favorites and have helped me calm down so much when I go back and visit the app. I haven’t had any sort of problem,, other than I’m unable to properly support the creators right now haha, and all of the detail is beautiful. I love the amount of personalization that can go into this app, and I really want to thank the creators and give them all a hug,, If looking for suggestions on what to add, I’m personally more of a dog person, a happy pup would be cute at some point if possible, but it’s alright if not. It’s honestly a perfect get away for now.
  • Truly healing!

    By Missledhead
I am on this app constantly. I love it so very much :) I have anxiety and depression, plus I’m going through the loss of my pet, so this is helping me immensely💚 There are tips in here that I never thought of as being self care, and it’s helping me see myself in a new light and what I am capable of doing for myself. I am truly comforted, thank you so much for creating this. UPDATE: after reading some negative comments, I do realize this game might not be for everyone considering not everybody is comfortable/knowledgeable with tarot, crystals, etc. I do believe their intentions are not to convert you to anything, but to help you trust your intuition and bring forth guidance from within. One thing I would love to see is different rooms based on which gender somebody identifies with. Males need self care just as much and this is very female( which is so amazing!) but I know for sure my fiancé wouldn’t relate to to this app.
  • Just what I needed right now.

    By Roosterbytes
I’ve been in a rocky place as of late and I stumbled upon this app. It’s just what I needed right now and I cannot thank you enough for creating this. I’m in love and it’s so soothing. While searching around my safe place I thought of a few things that you could add that could also belong here and may help others. I know there’s sand gardens, where people rake the sand and organize their items in it and I think maybe that would be soothing for others as well. ; Also, I’ve heard purring is good for people so purrhaps you could make our friend purr? ; Lastly, maybe there could be options for the background sounds, like rain or white noise, fire or piano or waves or something. Just thought I’d throw some ideas out there! I love this dearly and I can’t wait to share this with loved ones who need it just as much. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You.
