About Pogocat

Developer Description

So you think you know how to manage a cat on a pogo-stick? Well, here you go. Prove it. The sky is blue, the grass is green and Pogocat is prepared for a wholesome day of jumping. Hop, flip, spring, boing, and skip with her as far as possible across the grassy mountain plains. Pleasant? Perhaps, but probably not. After all, it's a cat on a pogo-stick. There will be falls, and there will be tears. Patience is essential on Pogocat's journey. Features: - An endless, gruelling journey with you, a pogo stick and a persistent hopping cat. - High-difficulty, physically-simulated pogo motion-dynamics. - Feline outfits to make the journey more colourful (yes, Pogocat actually enjoys dress-ups) - Ad removal for distraction-free jumping. - A feline friendship worth working for. Remember that feeling that you once had where one day you'd come across a cat on a pogo-stick? The day has come, and it's a beautiful one at that. Sound design & music by Dom Willmott.

App Reviews

  • One of my favorite mobile games

I recently left a 4 star review on this game, but I feel it deserves more. This is a prime example of what a mobile game should strive to be. Its a nice way to kill time without a million ads every time you lose. It takes some work to actually get good at, but that difficulty is sort of like a rite of passage to truly enjoying the game. As the developers said once, it’s like riding a bike. Another thing I would like to mention is how adorable this game is. It’s literally a cartoon cat on a pogo stick, which is pretty nice. Some say the music is repetitive or boring, but I find it really charming and relaxing to listen to. This game deserves more than it is being given. If you don’t give up on it, then it can be a really refreshing experience.
  • A New Era is Upon Us

Pogo is more than just a game, it is a tribute, an endlessly giving homage to all of mankind’s progress. Since the dawn of time Man has strived, yearned, ached and worked towards progress. Upon rare occasion an invention would be so unbelievably world changing it would usher the world into a new era. This dates back to the discovery of Fire, the invention of the wheel, the genius of gunpowder, that world shattering light bulb and telephone, the efficiency of the car, and the millennium of the internet. Each discovery greater than their predecessor. But Pogocat, such a game trumps all that dare rival it, a genius so un conceivably profound many fail to notice. Pogocat will begin a shift in all human nature, another great awakening, a time of intelligence and discovery, THE ERA OF POGOCAT! Cute game, fun music, wonky controls 9/10

I HATE THIS GAME. i was trying to peacefully watch my videos of cockroaches and all of a sudden i am being FORCED to download this DEMEANING and EVIL APP. i did what my second cousin’s neighbor told me to and downloaded the app hoping it would be some sort of app to help with my intense back and foot pain. but instead, i was presented with a feline creature hopping up and down on some sort of trampoline stick. mind you, i am DEATHLY allergic to trampoline sticks. so as i am playing this game, before i realized the trampoline stick was apparent, i broke my thumb and my phone screen my intensely prodding the screen. then i had to use my tongue because the rest of my fingers are not allowed to touch my phone screen. my mouth organ came in contact with the trampoline stick, and it all went downhill. my tongue is swollen and now i am the thumb doctor. i hate you pogocat.
  • How mobile games should be

Fantastic game. Obviously there’s no real ‘point’ to it, you just kinda go for whatever you want whether it be a high score or achievements whatever, but it’s just a mobile game. It’s a great way to waste time and is very addicting once you get the hang of it. I also really appreciate the way ads work on this game, it’s almost like the ads are optional. You can play for a long time with little to no interruption, unless you want to rack up coins for customization items. Overall, exactly what I want out a mobile game.
  • Why this game is great

A lot of the comments for this game is complaining rather about the controls or the ads to gain coins, and I’m going to explain why neither of these bother me When it comes to the controls a lot of the people say they are bad and are too difficult, but what they don’t understand is that this was deliberately done. It makes you concentrate no matter where you are on the course and makes it extra rewarding when you beat your high score or even a part you’ve had difficulty with When it comes to you needing to watch an add to collect your coins, this method is the best I’ve seen for any free game right now. This game needs to make money so like all free games they need to give you adds and this app very very rarely gives you adds outside of when you want to collect your coins. And coins don’t even effect gameplay, it is purely cosmetic which is great. I would highly recommend this game
  • Give it a chance!

I read the reviews and ignored this game thinking it would be annoying. I changed my mind and gave it a try and I’m so glad I did. It is a frustrating game and that is what I like about it! It reminds me of QWOP, in the sense that it is difficult and there is a deep sense of satisfaction as you get better and as you go farther distances. It is true that there are ads, but I can tolerate them and it does not hamper my enjoyment of the game. Bottom line, try it out and if you don’t like it, you can delete it, but you might find yourself addicted to a fun game.

First off I love the idea of the game, but once I started playing it got really repetitive really quickly. I enjoyed jumping and flipping but I played for about 30 mins and seen very little progress. I loved the thought of the obstacles but I wasn’t able to get far enough to even see most of the obstacles. One thing I think that would make me want to come back is a level system with either check points or finishes to each level, that would allow for more level design after each level. I like the outfit idea and think it’s a good game but it needs a little more.

it’s hard. much too hard. far too hard by far. it’s good! but very hard. i would give it 5 stars if i was capable of going more than 25 meters in two hours. it is very possible that i am just bad at things, but that is not aided by this game being very hard. (also the fact that you can’t keep ANY coins without ads is really bad game design. i understand you need to make money, but there’s a way to do that without hindering the actual gameplay. it’d be cool if you added a mechanic so when you get an achievement it gives you coins or something.)
  • Great game that requires hard effort

I love this game so much, it’s so addicting and you don’t force ads on us like other apps. It makes me mad to see other people complaining because it’s too hard. That’s the point. I also see people complaining about the coin system, but I would rather it be an option than it being forced upon us. People don’t realize that it’s their choice, and that you have to work hard. Thank you for this amazing game and its mechanics.

I haven’t left the toilet in weeks. My family has left me, but it is ok because I have the smiling face of the kitten that welcomes me back. Sometimes I have dreams where I am a cat. When I wake up, I dress myself up in my fanciest feline attire and tie myself to a pogo stick, where I proceed to jump off of a variety of hills, attempting to reach my new highest score and please the Cat Gods. I have been hospitalized multiple times, but it is ok because I offer my pain up to the Kitten Overlord.
