Using Lorex Cloud on your Windows computer is actually very easy but if you are new to this process, you will definitely need to pay attention to the steps listed below. 1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.


3: How to Use Lorex Cloud for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Lorex Cloud in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Lorex Cloud application icon. A window of Lorex Cloud will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Lorex Cloud icon. Click on it and start using the application.

    So my husband and I just installed this system last night and so far it’s decent. The lag on the system could use some work, but its bearable. Sometimes is takes to long for the camera’s to show up, but if I shut down the app and reopen, it usually comes back up. The biggest issue I have is the AUDIO feature. The two way audio is great. However, I just want to be able to listen in on our store without them knowing we are checking in on them. So if the one way audio would get fixed, this could easily be a 4.5 review. I haven’t checked much of the other functions. Also, a better manual would have been nice. My husband has been tinkering with the other functions. We are kind of learning on the go. Im hoping when I get home on my computer, maybe the lag and audio will be better there. However, that wont be as convienant as the App.

    The cameras themselves are crystal clear. It’s the app that is absolutely horrible. They really need to figure something out and quick. I got these because I wanted the ability to remotely watch my cameras if need be. Their app renders that useless. It does not even load my cameras anymore. Just sits there and spins until it gives up and puts a circle with a clockwise arrow in the camera space. I’m just about ready to trash these and move on to a real company. Customer service is also horrible. So save your time and money and go with a reputable company and do your research. If you want cameras that give you the ability to watch them from an app. Look at the app and ratings/reviews before you purchase the cameras to make sure the app is actually working. I wish I would have. 2 star rating this app has and I can see why. I’d give it 0 but it makes me give at least 1. It’s not deserving of that.

    The search function desperately needs improvement. You can not specify specific time periods. Instead you can only select a date and must use there “slider” bar to search through time. Unfortunately the slider bar is very imprecise. It is incredibly hard to select specific times with it because time jumps too much as you slide your finger. If I happen to get close to the time I want to see, as soon as I lift my finger the slider moves losing my place! Very frustrating! Also the fast forward function is broken has never worked properly. 2x, 4x, and 8x all play at the same speed, or sometimes it won’t fast forward for about a minute. The audio on my camera is always cutting out and dropping (it also does this on my NVR). However when I save video files to my computer, they play fine For those of you getting poor quality streams, you need to change your “sub-stream” settings to a higher resolution. Lastly, it is very confusing what app to use. There are some functions that are available on the Lorex Secure app that are not available on this app and vice versa. Why not just consolidate the two. Why are you confusing and not educating your consumers?!

    I have owned my security cameras for over a year now and these apps like Lorex Cloud and FLIR Cloud still DO NOT come with detailed instructions. All they point you to is their website that has no structure and zero customer support. This goes for updating your cameras and NVR’s. Stop giving generic web links. I don’t have a spare 90 minutes to look for the updates or answers and I know your support team will take a minimum of 4 weeks to answer me back. I’m still trying to figure out why on Lorex Cloud playback, I cannot select a time period or more than one day. Why do I have to search the entire 24 hour period but on FLIR Cloud it worked fine? If you force your customers change apps make sure it is a true upgrade and works the first time.

    I’ve had this system for about 3 months now and I can truly say with out a shadow of doubt that this is the worst system for video monitoring available. When ever I need to look at my cameras when I hear something outside or know who is at my door, I open the app and most of the time it take between 2-3 minutes for the cameras to load. Sometimes they don’t load up, but only an icon circle shows up going in a clockwise direction. I’ve tried resetting the system but most of the time it does not work. I highly recommend anyone considering buying this system to please walk away and get something better. I paid $1,750 from Costco and after installing this system, it is the worst decision ever made.

    You would think that a reputable company would verify any product that they make available to the public. The Flir Cloud app, had a lot to be desired, but it work well enough. This Lorex Cloud app, is an absolute joke. Better than 50% of the time, accessing any of the features, my IOS 12 phone locks up. For instance, I receive a motion alert, open the app, try to access the alert, phone locks up. Can’t tell you how frustrating this is! Have deleted and reinstalled several times, same issue. Hopefully an update is to follow in the near future.

    App is difficult to navigate but does give you a good view. Internet speed at the camera site and service at you phones location matter for this app. It streaming large video files. Sometimes we see that if our memory is full on the recorder it get slow on the app. We just reset it and it works great. Our cameras are paying for themselves.
  • Playback is terrible

    We were forced to go from one bad app to a worse app. There is no option in playback to add a time range, only a date. We have been using the old app for years and it seems like it is similar but it is lacking features. Directions state to Tap + but that is not an option on the iPhone. Worked fine in the other app. Very disappointing! We are ready to buy another brand and give up on Lorex.

    If ur system uses this Lorex cloud app, do itself a favor and get something else. This app is absolutely horrible. Playback is a mess. Never works, you lost a lot of features and working features going from the original FLIR cloud app which is now replaced with the Lorex Cloud app , the developer of this app should be fired on the spot . My system became useless overnight . What a waste of money on this system . Thumbs down.

    I have unfortunately had to but security cameras for my home. This system works great but the app is horrible. Everything lags when I am not connected to WiFi. I purchased the ring WiFi camera and that app was great but the camera sucked. So now I’m with LOREX I love the system but please invest more in your app!
