App Reviews

  • Scholarships!! 😀❤️

This app is amazing! I am the kind of person who has been searching for scholarships since I was in 5th grade (which are very hard to find btw), and now as a Freshman most of the scholarships are targeted towards juniors and seniors. This app allows you to look for colleges that are connected with RaiseMe, and get information about applications and deadlines. All you have to do is type in your grades, awards, volunteer service, and work experience and you can receive scholarships from it. The day I signed up I raised about $2,000 for a college I'd like to go to. The other thing to remember with this app however, is that the scholarship money you raise will only be saved until you apply, are admitted, and enroll in the college. I 110% support this app and recommend it!!!
  • Wish more colleges were involved

2 things: I’ve seen a lot of reviews and developer responses about this already, so I’ll just note that most of the more prestigious or elite colleges haven’t started participating as a warning to future people who start using RaiseMe who might be more ambitious like I am. Other than that, this is a pretty user friendly app; I very recently started using it and have had only minor problems thus far. One problem I have encountered that is also minor but more annoying than the rest is the lack of customizable filters. I don’t want to comb through over a thousand colleges when my search could’ve been narrowed down by something like a button in a settings page that says “Set minimum average salary:_____” I understand it may be more difficult than I realize, but I still wish we could customize the filters by salary, debt, or popular majors even just a little. Other than that, it is great and you should use it.
  • GPA

This app is very useful for high school students! I use it once every quarter of my school year is completed. As much as I would love to give this 4 stars, my only issue with this app is the GPA. In certain schools, such as the one I attend, they count every class you take throughout the year and add it onto your GPA, including arts and physical education. By RaiseMe calculating just the core classes for our GPA, it gives its users inaccurate earnings for the colleges they’ve followed. Our GPA should be completely accurate to what we have in school to make our future college experience better.
  • Great But Needs More

While the app is a phenomenal thing for students and has plenty of things to enter from FBLA to top of class to NHS to certain awards and community service and being able to follows colleges, the app doesn’t taken into account many popular activities students are involved in. Several different honor societies that are prevalent in the US from Social Studies to foreign language to Math to Business, a vast amount of sports that are popular, clubs such as Gay-Straight Alliance, Diversity Club, language clubs, academic clubs, drama and musicals or anything theatre related, etc. The app is great, but I’d like to see many more options available.
  • Idea for addition

This is my second review for this app, so I’ll just quickly say that I have enjoyed this app, but I do have an addition that I think will be helpful. I think it’d be nice to have an option to say where/how a person earned/lost money from a college. Because while for earning it can be obvious as it usually happens right after you put something in, I just lost potential money and I’m confused since I haven’t changed anything. That addition would be helpful in this instance. But great app!
  • Good app but...

I love this app, it’s very informative and helps you to really understand your options before applying for colleges; however, I referred a friend to the app through the link and I never received my $100 micro-scholarship and neither did she. Hoping I can get some help because it’s a real downer. It would also be great if there were more college options, but I know colleges must have to agree to be a part of it, so it would be difficult. Awesome app other than that.
  • Amazing!

RaiseMe is very easy to understand and use for first and long time users. Whenever you enter and submit your: courses, extracurricular activities, clubs, sports, work experience, test scores, etc., real colleges that you follow can see all the cool stuff the you have done and send you actual scholarships! I have been using in for nearly two years and it still is very efficient, effective, and easy as ever.
  • Occasional freezing while scrolling through a page on the app

Once in a while, while I’m scrolling maybe through list of colleges or looking through a list of scholarships, the app just freezes and I can’t move anything on the page. I don’t know if this is a bug for anyone else, maybe just me. Maybe an app update could help.
  • Love it but i have a question

I love the app and how smooth it runs, all you have to do is put your achievements in and you get money towards college for it which makes me glad u stumbled upon this but i have a question. If i dont plan on going to that specific college but they gave me money for my achievements would i not get the money that they gave me?
  • Love It! But a little confused?

I love using RaiseMe, as it allows me to follow my grade patterns and write everything down that I have going for me. However, I am a little confused. When putting in grades, it says “final” in the last slot. Is this the year’s average grade in that class, or the class’ final assignment? I’m assuming the first but who knows! Love to see this app improving and helping so many people!
