App Reviews

  • TOTAL BS!

Where is that zero star rating, Apple? I’m an AT&T customer since 2004. I downloaded the app, followed the steps, and received the text with the pin. I entered the pin, and received an “Invalid PIN” dialogue box. It said “Copy PIN from your text message, and try again.” I did exactly that. I received the exact same error message. This is totally unacceptable performance from a company I literally give hundreds of dollars to every single month. Why should I trust you to protect me if this is your best effort? Hey, AT&T, contact me. You have my name on this review and can easily find me in your records. I will be happy to provide screenshots. Even better, fire whoever’s responsible for this hot mess that is absolutely harming your reputation, and then contact me when it’s fixed. On the other hand, if you don’t give a sh*t, don’t bother, because, with the number of your customers who are having the exact same problem telling you so in no uncertain terms, you still pushed an e-mail to me telling me to try this app. Upon further review, you also need to fire any marketing minion who advocated telling your customers to try this when it’s obviously not ready for customers. READ THE REVIEWS! WE AREN’T MAKING THESE PROBLEMS UP!!!!!

We also learn about the pages you visit, the time you spend, the links or advertisements you see and follow, the search terms you enter, how often you open an application, how long you spend using the app and other similar information. Location Information includes your ZIP-code and street address, as well as the whereabouts of your wireless device. Location information is generated when your device communicates with cell towers, Wi-Fi routers or access points and/or with other technologies, including the satellites that comprise the Global Positioning System

I would have thought something better would come from at&t. But, I am wrong! This app simply doesn’t work. Won’t install properly and, thus, it won’t verify or if it does it won’t install the plus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I am told each and every time that the stupid verification pin is invalid or it won’t complete registration. Or it won’t install the plus. It is just simply worthless CRAP! at&t needs to fire its app programmers and ditch its servers and start from the ground back up. BTW, at&t maybe you could give the plus features for free. The true benefit of the plus features aren’t worth what you are bleeding your customers for. Shame on you. But then you do produce at&t watch tv another pretty much poorly implemented and contrived product.
  • Basic: iOS updates and Passcode

The Basic access notifies you if your iOS isn’t the latest version, and if there isn’t a passcode on your phone. So, set a passcode, and when your phone tells you there’s an iOS update, install it. Congratulations! You can now delete this app and rate it 1 star for pointlessness! For $4/month, you can add VPN, breach reports, and enhanced caller ID. NordVPN is better and cheaper. You can read about data breaches in Apple News. I’m not sure what “Enhanced” Caller ID is, but I’m pretty sure it isn’t worth $4/month... just don’t answer calls from unknown phone numbers. Also, remember when Caller ID cost extra on a landline? And now, it’s free on your phone? Just hold out... “enhanced” will be free soon enough.
  • Worth less app

The free part of the app is worthless all it does is check to see if you have updated your phone and see if you use a passcode to open your phone. The two parts that actually do something are not worth the 3.99 more a month. This stuff should be included in your phone plan for free same goes for the caller ID app they have. Now you can get the two pay features when you get the plus upgrade. We as customers pay enough to companies like them. I know there CEO’S will not even feel the very small pinch it would coast them to make it all free for there customers.
  • Really just a marketing gambit

This app in its default configuration really only provides minimal functionality (checking that iOS version is current - something Apple does already very well, and confirming that a spam call blocker - available separately in another app - is enabled). The purpose of this app is really a marketing ploy by AT&T and the app vendor to sell you a premium monthly subscription service with “better” security features. Additionally the “registering” step required when enabling the app is very buggy - took me 5 tries to get it to work. Come on AT&T - you can do better...
  • Useless unless you pay

The free version of this app gets you two really balling features. The first checks to see if your phone has a pin enabled. Yes the pin you used to turn on your phone to download load this app. The second priceless feature is checking to make sure your operation system is update. Yes like the same thing Apple does automatically wether you have this app or not. Both are things you could totally without but if you want a second app to keep an eye there. Download today

After loading the app, I was prompted to enter my phone number, and received a text with the 6-digit pin. First try I typed the pin in, and received a “invalid pin” response. The second try I tapped on the pin and copy pasted the pin. This worked. So far the app is working great! Thanks at&t.
  • Not “free”

This is doesn’t do anything my iPhone doesn’t already do; unless, I want to pay $3.99 a month, and even then it’s minimal. My iPhoneX tells me when I need to update my software, and i have a passcode enabled. All the “free” version of this app, which is included in my over priced monthly plan, is tell me my software is up to date, and I have a passcode set. Come on AT&T. I pay almost $300 a month for three lines. This “free” app is useless, and a waste of space on my phone.
  • Worthless unless you pay a monthly subscription fee

The basic version is worthless. It does nothing except tell you that there is an iOS update and check if you have passcode set on your phone. These are simple things any Neanderthal can do without this app. The basic version is just a gimmick to get you to pay the $3.99/mo subscription fee for the other services. It should be free given how much more ATT charges over T-Mobile. App deleted.
