Using Expeditions on your Windows computer is actually very easy but if you are new to this process, you will definitely need to pay attention to the steps listed below. This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install Expeditions on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .
Personally, I recommend the "B" option as Bluestacks is very popular so if you run into any trobles using it, you can find good solutions on Google or Bing (lol).

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use Expeditions for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Expeditions in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Expeditions application icon. A window of Expeditions will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. Hit the Install button and your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
Next, you will see the "All Apps" icon.

About Expeditions

Developer Description

Google Expeditions is an immersive learning and teaching tool that lets you go on VR trips or explore AR objects. Explore historical landmarks, go down to the atomic level, get up close with sharks, even visit outer space! In the classroom or with groups, Google Expeditions allows a teacher acting as a “guide” to lead classroom-sized groups of “explorers” through VR tours or show them AR objects. Guides can use a set of tools to point out interesting things along the way.\n Users that are not in groups can also explore on their own either in VR or AR.\n Features: • Explore a world of places and things on your own with your phone, tablet, or VR device. • Guide classroom-sized groups of locally connected users from your phone or tablet. • Join a guide in immersive AR or VR and let them walk you through one of our hundreds of VR or AR Expeditions. VR mode can be used with a Google Cardboard or Daydream viewer. • Connect devices over the same WiFi network - if the Guide has downloaded some Expeditions, there is no internet connectivity required to run the Expedition! • Choose from a growing list of over 800 Expeditions - each one is a curated set of VR imagery or AR objects along with integrated descriptions, talking points and questions. By using this app you agree to be bound by our Google Terms of Service (Google ToS, http://www.google.com/accounts/TOS), Google’s general Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/), and the additional terms below. • I love this idea, but...

I love the idea of using this in the classroom, however the guide feature is lacking. Most school WiFis are not all that great. Not to mention, they probably aren’t configured right to allow the connection (as is the case with our school). I wish this app had a coded entry like when using Kahoot in class. It would make it so much easier plus multiple people on the same WiFi could lead their own virtual field trips without issue

This takes a few moments to load first time but OMG! It allows one 360 views of so many things I would never get to see if not for this. So far I’ve been on the holiday tour of the White House and to The Great Wall of China today. Bravo.
  • I’m rating it now

Even tho I’ve just downloaded it. My 93-year-old father recently lost his bride of 70 years, my mother. I am going to download this app and take him on a wonderful trip maybe to Paris sitting down of course. Stay tuned.

I have been trying to use this app with my students but when they try to view different areas all they can see are colored squares. They cannot see any of the areas we are trying to ‘explore’.
  • Amazing, feeds my soul

Doesn’t detect other users connected to the same WiFi network. App crashed 2 times within the first 5 minutes trying to use it. Zero functionality
