I really enjoyed reading your post on the fair app. I was also like you and very curious about fair. I have friends that I respect their opinions; unfortunately on this subject they are too traditional and are waiting for fair to have more longevity before they will even look at the app. If you happen to get this message from me; I would really appreciate your opinion on a question that I have...if you possibly would please answer back. I sincerely would appreciate your time. With that said, do you feel the ability to change the vehicle out whenever the leaser or buyer wishes is an asset. I live in an environment that experiences the fore seasons. I will ask fair about how this all weights out. However, with your outside consumer experience your opinion would be of value to me. My Dad, WWll navy vet just pasted away. He enjoyed living just to see all the new technology and watch his family grow. Plus, he was an aviation mechanic so he taught me to appreciate mechanics. I do not think fair will have the new car that can fly, but I do not need that much and quite frankly...that is not on my budget. However, variety would be nice, especially if it is practical to change out vehicles; maybe at least every 6 months.

I am currently having a terrible, terrible experience with this company. I discovered was given the incorrect car by the dealer after I noticed that the mileage reading didn’t match what was on the paperwork. After contacting Fair I was told to return the car and that I would receive my deposit in 5-10 days. After 10 days I had not received the payment so I contacted Fair who told me to contact my bank as it was an issue on their end. After lots of messaging (no phone number, no reply to emails) Fair finally admitted that they had never processed the fee. I was told that they would post a cheque in the mail and that it would be sent in the post and would be sent a tracking number. When that wasn’t sent I was told by the employee that he had been refused permission to send the cheque and that the money would instead be sent to my account. It’s now 28 days since I returned the car and still no sign of the money (over $1000) and no replies to any emails. Always ask for a transcript of any chats you have through the app as there is no way to save these conversations and this is not a trustworthy company. I have no idea if I will see this money again but at least I can save some others the stress of going through this. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!
  • Great idea, a lot of potential

I haven’t actually tried the service, so I’m just saying how I feel about this service... I own a BMW car for 4 years and I’m getting tired of driving my car, so my motive is to check out some other luxury cars and test drive them for several months. This app sounds exactly like what I want. I downloaded it and gave it a look. I really really like the idea and everything looks cool. The only issue I have is the down payment per car... Here’s the thing...I don’t mind paying, let’s say, $800 monthly subscription fees or an annual fee for $3000 as long as I can pick it up and go...but monthly rental fee plus the down payment PER CAR?? Umm...I understand the purpose of it, but I think it could be improved. This is a subscription era and I really don’t mind they pre-screening or checking my credit score as long as they give me the flexibility. I highly advise the founding team to come up with a package like that. I mean those dealers have too many cars sitting there anyway! That is being said, I’m going to try the service very soon and see how it goes.
  • Service is terrible and super unreliable

    By Ayoo peck
I have three weeks to find a car before I go to Arizona and I finally find a Jeep after a week of looking, I create a account and I am immediately declined and told I have to wait 30 days to reapply because they searched how much money I make using transunion but I am a professional dog trainer who is paid off the books. I have a very reliable job with very high pay. I was told that I can reapply in 30 days but I don’t plan on changing my career so how is it gonna help me at all reapplying in 30 days if nothing is going to change? Extremely unreliable and you took away my time, something that I can’t get back. Should make it mandatory for people to make a account before being able to browse because all you did was ruin my plans and hopes. Best of luck to this company, I hope they take initiative to actually try to work with me and fix this problem not make me wait 30 days that I don’t have. Update: My questions were answered with I don’t knows, what company can’t even answer there customers questions? That’s unreal. The only thing I was told if I don’t plan on changing my income then this might or might not be the same outcome, what kind of answer is that?! You guys got it going on, that’s for sure!!
  • Horrible, Stress-Inducing company

    By d.naï.chi
I spent over a month trying to use this app to find a car. The inventory was incorrect. Finally a rep reached out to personally handle the search. Once a car was found available, they would not let me search for other cars and said I HAD to take this car. When I went to the dealership, the car was given without a front license plate and low tire tread. And once I had a car, Fair does everything possible to not deal with me. The dealership rep said they were not responsible because Fair is the owner of the car. There were issues with the car from the very beginning that they try to say they aren’t responsible for. There seems to be no one from their company nor the dealership that inspect the car before leasing to the customer. It has been a struggle to have Fair do anything reasonable. Attempting to contact them is a headache as they try to only use chat, and when speaking by phone or chat, they lack experienced professionalism. They blame everything else, including you, their paying customer, for any issues. They are not a customer service oriented business; they are a financial company that doesn’t care about quality, accuracy, or organization.
  • Just love how easy this was

    By Dcunningham3483
I have somewhat bad credit. I had been denied at most places and the only place that would let me buy/lease a car would of ripped me off in interest. I had my down payment, make good money but I was hopeless. I tried this app as a fluke. I was like there’s no way in heck it’s that easy, but guess what folks it was. On Sunday I chose a car and was super excited at the hope of getting one. Early Monday they told me the dealership no longer had the car so I went back in and to my surprise the car I really wanted was there. Sent my request and 2 hours later I was told the car was mine. After work went to pick it up hoping I wasn’t being catfished and I wasn’t. She was just as beautiful as the pictures. Was probably one of the easiest things I’ve ever gotten online. I got a 2018 car, wow and for less than I would of gotten some cheap car from a cheap dealership that I didn’t really want. I would recommend this to everyone.
  • “Unfair” fair app

    By Dariyahm215
I would not recommend this car app. Initially, I loved the app and the various opportunities you had to select the car of your liking with affordable weekly and or monthly payments. Yet, when I returned one fair car( because of the size for uber), and tried to get another one, it would not let me back in the app. I filled out another application to get qualified for the use of fair, but was rejected based off of no plausible criteria. The name on the application was not even my actual name and it said that the reason for not pre-qualifying was that I did not meet the fair income level. Yet, nothing has changed for me financially and I still have the same job and am making the same income as to when I applied and was qualified for the first car that I got. They wanted me to send them my bank statements and pay stubs through the app, which I found very skeptical especially considering my brother, who drives Uber and rented a car from fair 2 weeks ago, did not have a job or income when being “pre-qualified” to use the app. I am very disappointed in the fair app as well as the representatives whom given me very poor assistance with this problem. I do not recommend this app for anyone.
  • So far it’s been pleasant!

    By TheEarthQueenn
I downloaded the app this morning. Verified my information and was able to be approved within 1 1/2 hrs. The only possible downside, although it is not at all an issue to me, is they don’t do pick ups on Sundays at the location I chose to go to. And as fortune would have it, I made applied this lovely Sunday morning. Tomorrow morning, I am told by a very helpful associated named Tyler, that I will be able to successfully schedule a pick up. Edward was also prompt with the replies to any of my concerns which weren’t many. I am optimistic and eager to experience this. I have read a few negative reviews and decided not to let it hinder me in applying. I am glad I did because I have experienced the exact opposite of any of those reviews. That shows me they’re capable of great service and deserve a chance by everyone! Hopefully I can update soon on the pickup experience
  • App riddled with issues

    By alexsenn72314
I was super excited about this app, and was looking forward to getting a car through this app, until it came time to initiate an order. The issues started with not being able to link a bank account, credit card, or successfully use Apple Pay to place an order...and it just gets worse from there. I contacted customer support over the payment issue to which I received various replies such as, “just link a different card,” to “do you have sufficient funds available?” After restating that I was having issues with all forms of payment, and that I indeed had sufficient funds I got the same reply, “I’ve sent it to the engineering department. You’ll receive an email in 24 hours.” While checking back every 24-48 hours as to the status of my issue the app made me go through the sign up process a few times. Eventually I chatted with someone who said there are now multiple accounts, and they worked to delete all the duplicates. I was told to wait 24-48 hours, and then I should be able to sign back in and proceed. 48 hours later I sign in, and get a message that my email address can’t be verified because it belongs to another account. All of these issues have been going on since the end of June. It’s a great idea, but from my experience, is poorly executed.
  • App is great! Found a BUG though.

    By DanFesh
Great selection of vehicles! Awesome customer support. Great/Simple concept in getting a new car! “ONE BUG” that was just a wee bit frustrating was when I was in the process of finding the perfect car I was saving a lot of cars to narrow down my selection. But then when I came back to look at my saved selection, it said “Vehicle No Longer Available”, which wasn’t true because when I clicked on the car that was “No Longer Available”... it suggested similar cars, and there it was, the car that was “apparently” not available. I think whenever the app refreshes/adds new cars your selected cars tend to be refreshed as well putting some sporadically as “No Longer Available”, which is not necessarily always the case. Regardless, I’ve found that it’s best to double check.
