App Reviews

  • Not exactly a mobile friendly mobile app

Can't reduce the screen to read text when the more info link is clicked on fire incidents. Also being able to turn the phone sideways would be nice
  • This app is compromised.

Haven’t gone through all of the app but seemed like a good idea to have with all the fires going on. But as soon as I entered my cell number to receive alerts I got a sales call from a real estate company. Cal fire - your app is compromised and somebody is stealing numbers from it.

This app is so useful. Getting the fire alerts helps me feel in the know and the checklists are a big help to know what we should be doing to stay prepared.
  • No notification

Just had a full response fire within 1 mile of my house yesterday and no notification from the app. Push notifications are enabled, but nothing from Cal Fire. Why bother to promote notifications within 30 miles if you're not going enable the feature? If you want the app for notifications, don't bother.
  • Update the fire map

App keeps crashing when I zoom in. I live in LA and would like to be safe but this app makes it hard and frustrating. Crashed 4 times in 1 minute
  • Never showed current fires

Now uninstalled due to poor information deliver, got quicker updates on Facebook. This app never had current fire information every thing posted was old news. This app was no help!
  • Stale map data

    By Markhl2
The idea is great. Fire data are often stale and inactive fires are marked as active. If I click a fire link and go back to the map, the map tends to hang up.
