App Reviews

  • Don’t waste your time using app if you need to clarify or add anything

    By stripesjaeger
I don’t know what the app developers were thinking – there is no box to make added notes. There is no way to order extra rolls. I always order two sweet potatoes rather than a salad but was unable to do so because there is no option to order more than one of anything per order. I would have had to place a second order then before us to pay extra. I may as well have just called the restaurant to place my order rather than be forced to place a wrong order. I also resent the fact that the app automatically adds on 18% for tip – I am not receiving tableservice thus an added 18% seems just a tad presumptuous. I think I will delete my app since it is useless other than to place a run of the mill exact order as listed. I am dumbfounded as to why the decision-makers at Texas Roadhouse did not see these issues for themselves – obviously they don’t eat at their own establishment or bothered to give their own app a try.
  • Mandatory tip on carry out orders

    By OlatheBob
Beware when you place an order to pickup in the restaurant. When you pay through the app, it gives you the after tax amount due. When you show up, the cashier looks up the order and confirms the amount. But when they print the credit card receipt for you to sign, when you look closely, a new line called “tip” has been added with an amount already printed on the receipt. The app never asks if you want to leave a tip. This has happened twice now, so it’s clear this extra charge is deliberately programmed into carry out orders. The only way to get it removed is hold up the line and wait for the manager to correct it. This is very sneaky and underhanded, and amounts to an unauthorized service charge on your bill. I’ve asked for an explanation and have not received one. I’ll give them three days and if I don’t hear from them I’ll delete the app. I may even report them to my country prosecutor for attempted theft.
  • OK but has some obvious problems

I have used call ahead for years and know the it is not a reservation. When you call a restaurant they ask what time will you arrive. It can be an hour later and they put you on the wait list starting an hour later. The app does not give you that option, it showed a 0-10 minute wait at 1pm and asked if I wanted on the wait list. It the said I would be removed if late by 15 minutes. It takes me 45 minutes to drive there, it was impossible to select the time to arrive and get on the wait list starting at 2. The app is clearly different from the phone in call ahead and what the in house system allows. The customer experience with the app should be the same as a phone call. .
  • Need to integrate wait times

    By bjt6h5
App is very basic. One thing that would be nice for clients and corporate to track is to tie in beeper issuance # and online waitlist to show approx wait times and place in line. So, if clients are issued a beeper, they can type in beeper # and it will show how many is in front in case lines are long and people waiting want to go shopping next door or just walk around outside. Thanks!
  • Lunch on time- NOT

    By Mammy1960
Some other restaurants will limit the time available for pick up of To Go orders if they will not be able to make a certain time. Today my order was 30 minutes late in being ready. I ordered 45 minutes ahead of pick up time. So, 75 minutes to get a SALAD ready. Very frustrating on a limited lunch schedule. Defeats the purpose of the app. See what you can do to correct this.
  • Terrible User Interface

    By Nick1463790
I believe the group making the app had no idea how to use an app. You would think that they would test trial some of the things that a customer would want and put it in the app. You cannot add your gift card into the app, though you can enter your credit card? Also they aren’t apart of the Wallet apps either to keep track of your gift card. Very difficult especially when you have a E-gift card.
  • Worthless

    By DivaUltima
I’ve installed this app twice, & have been disappointed both times. It doesn’t give you a number, virtual reward card, or anything. We come to this restaurant fairly frequently, so I’d like to build rewards, but I can’t find a way to do that with this app! It’s so frustrating! I see absolutely no reason to have this app on my phone, taking up space.
  • Waste of time

    By HSMomX3
Ordered went through, gave me a “show up at this time and location to pick up your order.” Showed up at pickup time only to find out that the order was never received. I don’t like calling in orders because the person taking the order can never hear me over the blasting music, but it looks like I’m back to calling since I ended up ordering at the counter and waiting inside anyway.
  • The waitlist function is useless

    By GKto2
If you call to get on the waitlist, you can say when you’ll arrive, within an hour or so. The app gives you one option: 0-10 minutes. The confirmation email asks you to arrive at the very moment you asked to be waitlisted, and tells you they will hold your table for only 15 minutes. So, if you live 20 minutes away, forget it. This needs a fix.
  • Great except to pay

    By JTMSG
Everything is great, wait list feature and rewards always work. But, paying is a major issue. The wait staff has no way of knowing you paid through the app. We were chased down by a waitress who thought we stepped out on the bill. Major downfall.
