App Reviews

  • Exactly what I was looking for.

It is a pretty clean interface! I won’t lie, at first I was confused and I didn’t trust that it would really work because when I put the reminder in, and told it to remind me a day before, the assignment would disappear from the due date and appear the day before. But I guess that’s just when the app will remind me. For the devs: I’d love it if when you put in an assignment, that you could save it as a repeated assignment. Also, I wish the app would save the preferences from the previous assignment. (when I click the “plus” icon to create a new one, it never starts on the date I was currently on. So I always have to scroll down to find the right date. A little tedious.) But overall, a great app! Love the no ads and clean design. Great job developers.
  • Notification Crashes

I love the layout and the simplicity of this app! One problem I have noticed is that it crashes at two points. When I add a piece of homework and at 6pm, when it’s supposed to notify me (which it doesn’t btw), the app seems to “crash” (my phone has a black loading screen, then asks me to unlock it again). I added all of my math homework for the semester, and I think it started about a third of the way through, so maybe the issue is that it can’t handle too much homework at once (and really, who can)? I actually forgot to turn in some homework because I’d expected this to tell me (not a big deal, this is a class I’m great at), but it’d be nice if you could work out that bug. I have an iPhone 7, iOS 11.4.1
  • Really nice but needs a few things...

Well right off the bat under the App settings the “default reminder time” is misspelled.. it says “defualt”... anyhow that’s ok.. I love the UI and the ease of use with many options like the attachments for the reminders which comes really handy. Now I set some assignments and they where being displayed like 2 days before they where due on the date selector which I found odd cause the date was correct and notifications worked perfectly... lastly, the app reaaaally needs iCloud sync support. I’m using it on my iPad but stopped using it on my iPhone because there’s no sync feature. Other than that, I’d recommend it to any student looking to be a bit more organized!
  • Completely Inaccessible for Voiceover Users

I downloaded this app hoping for a simple, accessible homework tracker. When I first opened the app, it brought up the introduction and voiceover could read it, but once I dismissed the introduction, the app crashed. I repeatedly tried opening the app with voiceover on, but it always crashed, even after I turned my phone off and back on. I don't have enough vision to read print on my screen, but I can sometimes see the logo of an app when I first open it. So, I turned voiceover off and reopened the app. After showing the logo for a few seconds, the screen changed and I saw what might have been a heading at the top of the page. I then tried turning on voiceover within the app, but it once again crashed. This app is completely inaccessible for me, so I have no way of knowing if any of its features would've been helpful to me or not.
  • Good but missing obvious things.

I do really like the user interface. It’s simple, smooth, and easy to work with. I like the color coding and big characters used. Entering assignments is also nearly effortless. It’s just very bizarre that the app appears to be missing obvious things. As a college student, the concept of schedule “periods” has no meaning to me. The app assumes that classes follow a period schedule and that homework is always due during class. There is no way to specify a time when the homework is due. This is frustrating to me because most online assignments are due throughout the week and do not correspond to class times at all—not to mention online classes that do not occur at a set time in the first place. Also, as you flip through the days of the week looking at assignments, you might notice that the date is nowhere to be found. The only information given is the date range for the entire week. The date and day of the week ought to both be prominently displayed. Those are my only gripes so far, but they make me unsure if this is going to be a reliable app.
  • Free, Functional, and Fantastic

This was the only homework planner app that I could find that worked well and was free— and I mean completely free. No add-ons to purchase, no features to unlock, nothing. Regardless of being free, the app runs smoothly, and has a clean design. I can organize each assignments type (i.e. project, paper, reading, etc.), the course it was assigned from, the date it’s due, if and when I want a reminder, AND attach images or additional notes at, again, no additional cost. I recommend this app to everyone, even if you’re not a student.
  • Love this so much easier than an agenda! 🙀

I was always leaving my agenda at home. This doesn’t clutter up my regular calendar so that’s nice. I would suggest playing with the settings after you start using it. It can make things a little easier and simpler to understand when you set it the way you want it. Edit: Oh my gosh still love it! My mom is a teacher so when she found this I was thinking it was another boring and useless attempt at keeping me more organized but this one actually works!
  • There are other options out there

I have found this app difficult to use. There are other homework tracker apps out there in the vast world that integrate across platforms, meaning you can mark some as complete or add a new assignment to your planner using your phone, and it’ll show up on your table, which is not currently a feature with this Homework app. The widget often doesn’t communicate with the app itself, so I’ll have to mark homework as complete in both sections. I’ll also find that when I tap on a specific day, it’ll show the day prior - for instance if I want to see my homework that’s due on Monday, I actually need to click Tuesday for the app to scroll back to display Monday. There are other options.
  • Good, but tedious...

This app is great with reminding me of my assignments and when to complete them. However, I think the app should allow an assignment to be repeated like everyday or every Monday and to have the same reminder for such an assignment. For example, if your assignment is to post on a discussion board by every Friday, then when you plug into the app you can save it to be repeated every Friday with a reminder that day (or your choosing). Otherwise it is very tedious to plug in an assignment every week. Also, with the due date, I wish that it starts as the same day as your screen is on and not the date your on the app.
  • HUUUUUUUUGE bug

The calendar, the one things that keeps track of when things are due, doesn’t work. For me it started n the November calendar, but it’s in others too. This is the problem: of you tap on a day in the bugged months, it shows you the day before the one you tapped on, but it still says you’re the tap you DID tap on. This results in me having to tap a day before the day with stuff due AND not being able to see the right dates for when stuff is due. This NEEDS to be fixed. I would NOT recommend this app until this bug is fixed, it makes the app unusable. I deleting it myself because it’s going to cause a LOT of confusion when trying to plan out my homework!!
