  • Only saving grace is Customer Service

    I take a taxi everyday. If it wouldn’t have been for Juno or Uber I would have saved a lot more money. This app was amazing when I got 30% off cause someone referred me. And it’s great cause I still have 10% off in NYC ... when I look at any car service app BEFORE I order the ride I look to see how many minutes it will take in my area. This app will say there are driver 3 minutes away ... but when I book the driver sometimes 17 minutes away ! Lol it’s happened more than a few times and it’s so annoying. Customer service is great though. Always trying to help. 3 stars ..... by their own standards we wouldn’t be paired again. Update: this app will consistently make you late to work. I think they put the low number of minutes before you rent the car for decoration. I just tried to order a car when it said 2 minutes away. Tried several times and each car was 12 minutes or more away. Then they said I couldn’t order a car since they saw me cancel multiple times. You can keep this app if you’re never in a hurry, but for me it’s extremely unreliable. It’s extremely easy for me to delete this app.
  • Can't contact drivers??

    I've used the app several times and have needed to contact my driver, but when I call them it send me to a generic Juno voicemail box and texting them doesn't seem to go anywhere (because I never get a response). What's the problem?? Just walked a block in the rain because I couldn't contact my driver to give a more specific pickup location for the door of my building. Other than this, the app is fine, but not great. GPS location doesn't seem to be as accurate but the prices are typically slightly less than Uber. UPDATE: Thanks for the developer reply to my original message -- please adjust the app to not allow Google Voice or other forwarding numbers if possible? There's no way we'd know not to use our GV numbers and it's what I use for everything to avoid having my real number exposed to strangers. If it weren't allowed, I would've used my real number and contacting drivers would've been functional from the start. Thank you! I've bumped up my rating by one star.

    I downloaded this app and started using it because I was told this company was a little more caring towards their customers with prices and service. The price part was right but the service leaves a lot to talk about, the ride is not a problem, getting your first driver to come to your house is a problem very often you don’t get the driver that was assigned and it’s understandable it happens sometimes but it’s outrageous that it happens extremely often I would say 8 out of 10 times, switching one driver is fine but I’ve gone through as many as 4 drivers being switch for one ride and my wait time go from 4 minutes to 24 mins cumulative with all the wait times. Their 5 minute policy to cancel is beautiful but not when your ride is 6 minutes away and cancels a block away from your house and now you’re stuck playing the wait game because if you cancel now you’re down $5. The service and reliability would have to greatly increase before I start referring more people. And if you’re downloading this for the first time beware of all these points I’ve made.

    I’m not sure why the drivers would take a route filled with traffic and say thats the fastest route but we end up sitting in traffic forever. The gps or whatever they using is dumb. Like this morning I’m tried to avoid taking the train so I can get to work a little earlier. The driver took a route filled with traffic and to make matters worse while the other cars in front of us are going around the dam truck that was holding up traffic he decides to stay behind the vehicle like really ?😐 bad enough I had to ask him if he can’t go around the truck, he attempted but couldn't because the cars behind us started going around us (yay me) so that was a waste. Oh and the icing on the cake ? He decided to make a turn and ended up on a dead end st so he had to go back the opposite direction in order to get to the highway. Yea y’all need to do better, get drivers who actually know what they’re doing and not acting like they are scared to drive in the streets of NY. Also the gps is not accurate at all it makes drivers take the longest route to the destination. Tragic
  • Best driving app and customer service

    I’ve been using Juno for over a year now. I travel a lot for work and use a combination of Lyft and yellow cab products when outside of the city but Juno is, by far, my preference when home. The app is reliable and meets my expectations: displays the info I want, clean and simple UI, makes it easy for me to contact my driver, no unwanted *extras* that don’t work (like Lyft’s pre-scheduled rides, which never work according to plan). Just book a car and it arrives in a few minutes at a lower rate than Lyft Pool with a greater share going to the driver. What really makes Juno stand out is its dedication to providing great customer service for both passengers AND drivers. Whenever I’ve experienced an issue, I’ve received brief, personalized, well-written responses from real people, who make sure my issue has been resolved. I’m introverted and prefer to sit quietly as a passenger, but I’m always happy to hear drivers voluntarily tell me how much they prefer Juno, that the company treats them like humans and respected employees. Part of me wishes that Juno was more widely available in other locations, yet another part of me realizes how hard it would be to scale this level of service up. So in the meantime, I’m happy to have such a good, reliable service in NYC. Keep it up!
  • Bad first experience, but I’m still hopeful

    Update: reached out to Juno customer service and they were able to warn the driver and issue me a credit. Also, I didn’t miss my flight 🙂 First time using the app on a ride to the airport. Waited 15 minutes for the driver before he canceled. Then had to wait another 8 minutes before the next driver arrived. Went from having plenty of time to cutting it close. Are drivers who do this flagged? Because it’s definitely a lose-lose for the riders. Not only do you have to 10+ minutes for a nonexistent ride, you also can’t cancel without a fee (at least on Uber anyway). I’m still hopeful that Juno will be a good experience for me, but, right now, I’m just hopeful that I don’t miss my flight.

    Juno is good because it’s cheaper than other taxi services but I have been late to my destination way too many times because the drivers constantly get lost on their way to pick me up. I’ve had to wait more than 15+ mins countless of times (when the original wait time was less than 10) because I can see the drivers making wrong turns and getting lost on the app. I once waited 30 MINS for a cab to get to me. They also tend to get lost while you’re on your way. They say they’re following the GPS, but most don’t even know how to do that. Their drivers are almost always talking on the phone as well. Once the discounts for signing up expires, prices are almost the same as other taxi apps, but the service stays the same. Might as well use uber after that!

    This was my first use of the app and noticed it was cheaper then Lyft and Uber home from work so I figured why not. Didn’t notice 30% off but that’s cool. Anyways I had my first 6 drivers cancel on my and eventually the one who originally picked me up was the first driver lol. Anyways wrote on twitter saying this and they emailed me no later then 5 to 10 minutes from when I tweeted them. I wasn’t really asking for a credit but just wanted to voice my first impression of the service but they gave me a $15 credit. Otherwise this works just like how Uber or Lyft works but find customer service so far to be top notch. 👍
  • First ride - and I’m gonna use again

    I’ve had bad customer experiences on Uber and Lyft’s app/customer service is dreadful. After yet another bad Lyft experience I’ve decided I’m not using them again. My Juno experience has got off to a good start. First, when I texted the driver, he replied - that’s a first, to actually get a reply. He was very friendly and welcomed me on behalf of Juno - very nicely done. The only thing (not the driver’s fault), I asked for pick-up at my work address, and the app told the driver to pick me up about two blocks away. That’s why I had to contact the driver. Then the app told me he was a block away when he was outside my building. Maybe just kinks that need to be worked out.
  • Better Drivers, Reasonable Fares and Great Service

    I've stopped using Uber after a number of experiences getting unreliable drivers that cancel, struggle to navigate themselves to my destination and other issues. Juno drivers are usually great, none of the frills about trying to be your best friend, just a professional who can get you from Point A to Point B. Even better for them they seem happier to drive you as a Juno passenger considering they get paid more. Consider avoiding Uber and use this app instead. The prices are comparable and fair and you'll often get discounts and upgrades to drivers with nicer cars too.
