App Reviews

  • Absolutely does not work

So after seeing the hype for the app in my local shop I decided to download it for the rewards. Unfortunately I failed to read the reviews first. My fault. But this app is a true waste of storage space. No online ordering (although the website says it's being worked on...), the cashiers have no idea how to use it and I've been told "you don't have to use the app" or things of that nature by the fine folks working the register who have no clue what it's about and just want to move on to the next customer. The app supposedly generates a unique barcode for each use but it rarely stays up long enough to wait through the line and then crashes before generating a new one so you back up the line trying to get it to work. Maybe frustration is the key here. If so, job well done. I've accumulated zero points after multiple visits. Oh, and I never got the "free 6 inch sub" for signing up as is advertised. This app should seriously be pulled off the store until it works and employees are trained on it.

Downloaded app to order on way to restaurant. 20 minutes later still trying to pay for order but couldn’t do it before I was at the cash register. I just placed my order normally at the counter. The problem was with entering payment info. I have never experienced such a laborious process that locks up half way thru repeatedly. Each time it saved the items in the cart but it went back to the beginning of the data entry. The keyboard function would not register input. None of the convenience features of the iPhone worked. Whatever bug fix was just released missed the mark by a wide margin. The sandwich rated a 4 Star BTW.
  • Consistency?

I have used this app frequently, but there have been times that a cashier tells me I can scan anytime and other cashiers that tell me to scan at a certain transaction point. Surprise! Usually, when a cashier tells me to scan whenever is when my activity doesn't get logged. This app is spotty at best and possibly needs more implementation training for stores. Then again, when you spend an inordinate amount of money to get a 6" sub as the reward it isn't very motivating. I would say the best part of the app are the occasional freebies like fries or cookies that you receive.
  • Needs work

When I first started using the app it was mainly to get the rewards as I am a frequent flyer at PS. And it was working for that. I got a few free items. I decided to try to order online and that never seemed to work. Then I noticed my rewards weren’t progressing anymore. Today I downloaded the app again thinking maybe there has been an upgrade. Tried to order online and got all the way to confirm and it would not allow. Then when I got to the store and ordered live, it wouldn’t pull up the rewards at all. So it definitely needs some work so that it can actually be used, otherwise it’s a waste of time.
  • No Order through the App?!

So they have Facebook and twitter integration so I can tweet that I'm eating Penn Station, but they don't have in app ordering! What kind of stupid business model is that. This app has been around for a year and they still haven’t added ordering through the app. This was a complete blunder by Penn Station, why dump capital into a product that cannot generate revenue? Add online ordering and this becomes a terrific source of revenue. If it had the ability to place an order I’d use the app all the time because apparently it is rocket science for the workers at the counter to take down my order right.
  • Wasted 42 dollars don’t use the app

I attempted to buy some subs through the app and got to the Card CVV screen. I typed in my CVV multiple times but nothing happened. Thinking the charge hadn’t went through a friend and I drove to a different penn Station from the one I used on the app. I come to find out an hour later that the charge did go through when I hop on my email. I contacted the restaurant who directed me to contact corporate, Ive been getting the run around for over a week and a half now. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had and will not buy anything from them again.
  • Just okay.

Per the version history, a week ago online ordering was updated. I couldn’t find a location that I could click on to online order. The ease of functionality could be better. Just to see the menu I had to click through a couple different options instead of it being an option on the start screen.
  • App is broken and support is horrible

App absolutely does not work. It placed an order I didn’t confirm. I gave up using the app because of the glitch and didn’t realize that it still charged me. When I contacted the support to get a refund, they said the owner of the location claimed I picked it up. Which... I never did. The entire interaction with the support was incredibly uncooperative. The glitch was one that made a blank pop-up appear when entering payment info and prevent you from proceeding forward with the order.
  • Unusable

I just spent over half an hour trying to place an order. I couldn’t even get to the payment though, because every time I tried to change the pickup time the app locked up. I tried to let it buffer for ten minutes, nothing happened. I tried to rapidly open and close the app, nothing happened. This app honestly needs to be pulled, reworked, then made public again. An online order food app should not have a 1.8 star rating, especially when the food is so good.
  • It’s a start...

By you should really put this in
Has always worked for me for earning rewards. No problem. But the online ordering process needs to be worked out a bit. You can’t request lettuce for your sandwich. When I got to the store, they didn’t know I had an order. Then the reward for free fries I did try to use in the app didn’t come out of my rewards list, so it looks like I haven’t used it. I’m sure some fine tuning can straighten it all out!
