To Supercell: Suggestions!

I know many of you won't read these, but if you are I really appreciate it! I have some ideas that should be added into Clash Royale. First off, when you want to change your name, you should be able to do it more that once. What if a kid put their real name and their parents don't know, then their parents find out and want to change it! BUT they can't because they can only change their name once. Also, there should be many other ways to earn gems. With this suggestion, another suggestion! You NEED to make more achievements! I love completing them and earning more gems! But you need to add more. Also, I think you should lower the level you can start tournaments and challenges from level 8 to level 7. And instead of joining with gems, you should let us have a choice of joining with coins. Also, you need to let your players start over whenever they want! If any of you are like me, I started the game with NO coins or gems! I know you are supposed to get 100 free ones when you start the game. ( I contacted help and support and they didn't do anything. Very sad ) They can face the results of starting over! And I think you should start lowering the price for legendary chests when it is in the shop to like 2,000 coins. I know that's little but hey, you'll get a lot of buyers! These are all the ideas I have for this wonderful, and truly amazing game! Please send a developers response on what you think! Thank you!
It a fun addicting game. But it has so many flaws that make u want to stop playing it. I'm a lvl 11 in legendary arena and I keep getting matched up against lvl 12s and occasionally 13s (I also have a lvl 10 friend getting matched against 11s and 12s) I don't think this is fair because not only do the higher lvl people have more tower health but they usually have higher lvl cards. Playing against higher lvl keeps the lower player from having an accurate skill rating (trophies). There are definitely enough other lvl 11s for me to play against. Also I've played many legendary spam decks that somehow work so the game is clearly Pay to win. The game should give more opportunities to get gems. The game also needs to stop constantly adding cards. Most of the time when Supercell releases new cards, there is still a card that needs balancing. For example, they released the e barbs which were incredibly over powered when they still needed to nerf the mega minion. I think that supercell should not add cards so frequently. I remember back when people were excited for a new card because they rarely came out. But now supercell constantly adds new cards carelessly. To summarize Royale needs better matchmaking, more ways to get gems, and release cards rarely so they can better focus on balancing the cards that are already in the game. That said, the game is really fun and you should definitely try it out because it's probably one of the greatest.
This game is legit... here’s why
(PLEASE READ) I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m writing this one because this game needs to be certified (if it already hasn’t). I’ve been scrolling down all these critical reviews, and I’m purely disgusted. Not only is the grammar unflattering, but the gist is horrible. People are saying that “the matchmaking is terrible”, “some cards are OP”, and that the game is “pay to win”. Three words: Simply not true. Right now, I’m in Electro Arena (Arena 11), at 3600-something trophies. I’m only Level 9. On top of that, I’ve found 78/80 possible cards, WITHOUT spending a penny. That’s right; no money. I’ve gotten so far because of STRATEGY. Although you may need a few legendaries along the way, the game is purely strategical. I relate the game closely to chess. The first one to make a mistake loses. It’s true that you need to create a winnable deck, but it doesn’t take forever, it just takes time. Personally, I got the game in September 2017, and look at where I’m at now. Just 4 months. Anyways, back to where people say the “matchmaking is terrible”. It’s true that you will run into losing streaks, but that’s not because the matchmaking is terrible, but because of YOU. YOU need to play better. It’s just that simple. I give the game 5 stars because the graphics are out-of-this-world and Supercell just keeps on improving the game. Thank you for reading this review and I hope you by the game!
Getting tampered with to much
Well, the game has a really great base idea for a game, and I loved it when it first came out and for over a year after.... the game is starting to getting messed with to much.... ever since a nerf on the spells, the game is getting over cluttered with cards, and with the addition of clan wars and the removal of the clan chest, there’s feels like there’s almost nothing to do.... the game is becoming bland... as painful as that is to say... there needs to be other play styles available at all times... even if it’s just different variations of the same things.... you could do about 100 different things to tournaments to make them more exciting. For one, you could do different styles of them, like single/double elimination brackets or black points, but you could also do different game play tournaments. Like having double elixir, sudden death, touchdown, or other tourneys.... heck, a tournament that you spend 5-10 gems for a chance to win 25-50... I find a bracket way more enjoyable, than trying to battle the same people for an hour to see who can learn the others deck better. Especially if the match up is so close that starting hand effects the out come.... but the tournaments you have now, are far better than the challenges you guys try to do.... You’ll only get me to spend gems on a challenge if you’re doing a national competition... then I may retry it a few times if the entry fee is only 10 gems.... other than that, I find them a joke.
Amazing game except for…
First off, I would just like to say that this is a great game. If you are considering downloading it, it is definitely worth trying. With that said there are a few problems that I would like to mention. The first being lag. After the last update, whenever I try to attack it takes so long to load that most of the time the battle is over by the time it has finished loading. Sometimes I just come on and have already lost a tower or have taken substantial damage. This is extremely annoying as I have lost hundreds of trophies as a consequence of not even being in the battle. This could be fixed by adding a confirmation button that says that you are ready to start the battle. Another problem is the trainers. I understand that it is complicated to make an AI that can play a strategy game like this but it is not accurate. It always uses the same deck and is really easy to beat. I would like a trainer that would give an accurate depiction of how a possible new deck would do against real players. Also, in 2v2 battles your partner sometimes deserts you. This leaves you playing a 1v2 battle without the slightest hope of winning. When this happens you should get an AI partner or at least compensation equal to a second player. With these concerns aside, the game is very fun to play (if it loads) and has pretty decent graphics. It is definitely worth having on your phone.
Not completely balanced yet.
So, the first problem is, when I go in a 2v2, I play, and then my teammate leaves the match. Wow, what a great way to start. Now I'm gonna get completely destroyed. Can you at least give them a penalty for LEAVING THE MATCH! Just get them to lose 30 trophies or something.
2nd thing is, when I go into a tournament, I spend 10 gems. That's a good amount of coins. Then, I get into the matches and I lose three times in a row. Mainly because the people had LEGENDARIES. I've been playing this game until I got to arena 7. (Not sure how much trophies I have.) AND I HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN ONE LEGENDARY! Back to the tournaments. And when I lost, I got a sucky amount of cards, WELL I PAID A WHOPPING 10 GEMS ON THIS FOR NOTHING?! And I also saved up my gems and did the one that costed 100 gems. And I lost 3 times in a row. AND I HARDILY GOT ANYTHING AGAIN?! I spent a freaking 100 gems for crap. Wow. Sometimes I actually win a few times in the tournaments. I won 7 times before, the reward wasn't that bad.
3. The chests I get are mostly silver and gold chests, but what If you won a magical chest but didn't get it because you didn't have enough slots? I'm saying they need more chest slots. At least 5 or 6 would be fine but 4 isn't enough.
The pay to win thing really isn't a problem. I haven't spent a dime on this game. Really good graphics, good gameplay, the REALLY good thing about this game is that there are no ads. But still needs some fixes.
About the balloon
The balloon is one of my favorite cards! My favorite deck is lavaloon. The balloon has gotten a couple of nerfs since I first got the game. First, there was the bomb the balloon dropped. It use to take one second to explode but the time was extended to I think 3 seconds. But I could understand the change and I learned to adapt to it. However, the second nerf, I completely disagree with. The change made the balloon able to be knocked back. I disagree with this because the balloon can be pushed behind the tower and it’s a lot harder to hit buildings with it. Once, I was watching a friend play a match when the opponent fireballed the balloon. The blast pushed the balloon towards the tower, good right? Wrong! The fireball pushed the balloon BEHIND the princess tower and the tower didn’t take damage from the balloon! (Although it still did take bomb damage)
The balloon is a pretty hit or miss kind of card so I either do really good or really bad with it! And due to the knock back, it’s become more of a miss! The balloon already has several counters including but not limited to: inferno tower, inferno dragon, ice wizard, electro wizard, wizard, minions, minion horde, tornado, bats, musketeer, mega minion etc. Overall, I think the balloon is a great card, I’ll still use it even if the knock back is kept and I really love this game but I would really appreciate it if the balloon didn’t take knock back!
Really fun but has kinks
I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years and I’ve always enjoyed it. However even though they have improved much about it, it still has some key issues that hinders the game from being even more enjoyable. The main thing that has always bothered me is getting matched up again players that are higher level; even though they may be in the same arena, playing against players at a higher level automatically puts you at a disadvantage. Facing an opponent that is only one lever high is not too bad but countless times I’ve went against people who were 2 or 3 levels higher than me. So they have a higher hp for their towers and usually higher level cards, so that has always bothered me since that affects the outcome to many battles.
The second thing that bothers me is in 2v2 battles when your teammate leaves halfway, you’re guaranteed to lose. There is no way you could win against 2 players. I know there’s practically no way to prevent people from leaving but if there was some type of penalty for rage quitting and leaving a teammate stranded I feel that would be appropriate. That’s just one suggestion to improve that aspect.
Overall there’s a reason why I’ve been playing for so long. It’s super fun but like I said there are things keeping it from being even better and possibly moving the game to the #1 strategy game in the AppStore.
Prefer Clash of Clans legendary cards to hard to get!
I have been a big fan of Supercell for a long time. I’ve been playing clash of clans for over 3.5 years as well as clash royal. With updates like the builder base to clash of clans it has honestly kept me more interested in playing COC over royal.
My main lack of interest in keeping up with clash royal is that the legendary cards are more of a luck of the draw to receiving vs. something I feel I have more control of obtaining. I’ve played a while and have still never gotten cards I could have received at lower levels. I guess that alone keeps some of the interest down. I like that if I really want to get a certain character in clash of clans there is a very clear process that I can work to get that character and improve them. With Royal I can request cards from people in my clan to upgrade faster but I still may not get a cards I haven’t received yet and have no way to change that.
I do like games that are a little unpredictable and use chance but it’s frustrating that on my end I can’t do anything to get certain cards I’ve always wanted. I guess that had kept me from being an active player regularly with royal as compared to clash of clans that I probably have plaid almost daily for 3.5 years and have been really happy with the updates that have come out, it’s without a doubt my favorite phone game!
Great Game... but those clan wars...
Supercell, great game, no doubt. Award winning. But you axed clan chest, where accounts and clans would be rewarded for higher volume of play, to a point, and replaced it with a war that takes 48 hours and lets me play 4 rounds to contribute. So instead of playing 30-70 rounds this weekend, I’ll play 15-20. You ruined an activity and feedback loops for clans to understand who was playing a lot, and also made it so there is almost no way to step out individually. I bet you did a crazy amount of concept design and research on this, and you guys are experts at social gaming, so there have to be 10-15 good ideas to reward those who want to play more. Break those out. I’m okay with the card limitations in war decks, it forces investment and creativity in ways I haven’t thought of before, so it’s a good frustration. Also, frequently, we have multiple clan members cheering during a match, that is a good add, and funny with all the confetti. Integrate more of that. Maybe in addition to the one individual war match, there can be pools of match variations that a clan can draw them to increase clan glory, work on better rewards, and generate higher participation. Lots of thoughts, let’s take this war idea and kick it into action. Our clan only has bored things to say after the initial concept wore off in 4 battles.
