  • Very Very Bad Most frustrating app/service ever!

    I know people start with sensational subject lines, but this is really true. I just bought a 2018 Toyota Camry, V6, fully loaded, and this app And this app and its connection to the car is so bad that I almost returned the car. If I could pull the radio out manually and throw it through the window of Toyota Motor Corporation‘s headquarters I would. It is absolutely awful. And I decided to write this review when I went to remotely start my car, I know it is a different app, but also Toyota, and now the remote start app is having trouble, so it won’t start, and we just had a snowstorm and I have ice and snow on my car. I know they say these are “first world problems “but I paid a lot of money for the car, and Toyota is one of the best car companies out there, and I just cannot believe that they messed up so badly with Toyota Entune and their other apps, and almost all electronics in the car. When I start my car if the radio is on very loud previously, the radio is blasting and I cannot lower it until everything loads in which is a minute or two. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but if someone is in the car that does not like loud or my music, I can’t lower the radio. Who designed all of this?
  • Almost Worthless

    Well as the other reviews are stating this app is pretty frustrating and borderline useless. It constantly drops connections and most of the apps are boring at best. Pandora definitely going to drop when you make or receive a call; assuming most other apps will do the same. Seems the most trusted fix is disconnecting and reconnecting the EnTune app but that’s annoying and unsafe while driving. I didn’t even attempt the built in “GPS” which was a wise move considering the other reviews on it specifically. Buy a nice bracket for your phone cause you’ll be using that screen just as much as in the past. Speaking of the past, this app belongs in maybe 2013, pretty sad for the latest greatest Camry which last I checked is Toyota’s flagship and best seller in the USA. Also what happened to the steering wheel control of the infotainment like on previous Camrys? You can’t do squat on the screen once the car is in motion. Yeah it’s a safety feature but let’s be honest, voice control isn’t going to cut it and is a whole other waste of time in itself; who actually uses that button on the steering wheel? We all know it’s possible: do everyone a favor and build in Apple CarPlay to end the misery.
  • Worst part of Toyota, Bluetooth/apps/interface does not work

    I love my 2018, but I LOATHE Entune. I’m not hard to please, I just want to be able to talk on my phone via Bluetooth, which is apparently too much to ask. It works about 40% of the time. I tried disconnecting, reinstalling, turning the car and/or phone off and on, and nothing fixes the issue. I even called toyota, and get told to do the same things I already did. The apps also don’t work most of the time, I receive nonstop messages that tell me to download them again or reinstall them, in addition to freezing or simply not functioning. The map app is the worst second rate app, on the rare occasion it works, it tells you to turn after you already passed it, it doesn’t have half of the addresses I need in its database, and it quits navigating and crashes without notice most of the time. I have an iPhone 7 Plus that’s less than a year old and functions fine. My wife tried to sync her iPhone 7 Plus to the vehicle with the same issues. With the frustration with entune, It almost makes owning a reliable toyota not worth it...Apple car play would make this vehicle perfect
  • Who ever designed this app needs to be fired

    I had problems almost right away when I downloaded the app and got the car. Whenever I do a voice-to-text or someone calls me while I’m in the car (driving or parked) it disconnects so I have to manually disconnect the app and then re-connected for it to work again. I’ve had the car for about a month now in the latest problem is that when I try to connect it to the car it’s saying the Bluetooth needs to be synced. When I go into my settings everything is connected and synced. I have to shut off the Bluetooth on my phone and turn it back on in order for it to connect. My daily life already give me stress and difficulty and in this app it just pisses me off. Whoever designed this app needs to be fired and they need to start from square one with this app because it has way too many problems. I would even recommend someone to fix this app if I need to it is that terrible. I love my Toyota Camry but with the experience of this app makes me want to return the car so I don’t have to deal with this crap anymore.
  • For those with Pandora errors

    As many others have stated, this app is extremely buggy and borderline unusable at times. I came from a vehicle with Apple CarPlay and I certainly do miss the functionality that CarPlay provides. It’s a huge disappointment that Toyota isn’t planning on incorporating CarPlay for 2018 models, as I just purchased a 2018 Camry XSE. But live and learn. Hopefully the app will be improved in the near future. For those who are having issues with Pandora disconnecting when you make/receive calls through Bluetooth, the issue is that the Entune app is sent to the background when a call comes through. If you bring the app back to the foreground prior to ending your call it will automatically start playing Pandora once the call is ended. This is the workaround that a Toyota corporate rep provided to me. Still this is a design flaw nonetheless and hopefully will be fixed. I am very disappointed in this app, especially given how much my new vehicle cost me. Toyota really needs to listen to their customers and resolve this.
  • Not searching for perfection

    The system works fine for me. Haven’t had the issues mentioned in the reviews. However I also don’t have the same expectations for the system or compare it to the point that I wish I didn’t buy the car. And believe me I am picky when it comes to my car’s enter/info-tainment system. I’d rather hear my text messages read to me and not disclosed until I’m at a stop instead of being tempted to view it while driving. Quite honestly I like the fact it cuts down on distractibility while driving. Why is seeing the picture of the song cover “while driving” is a deal breaker? Overall the system’s Bluetooth functionality and connectivity isn’t perfect but what system is. I gave 4 stars over 5 because it’s not perfect. But then again I’m not looking for perfection 😊
  • Massive disappointment!

    I bought my first Toyota (2018 Camry SE) about three weeks ago. After a week of playing around with Entune 3.0, I regretted getting the car. This does not mean the car is bad. No, it drives well, and I’m sure it will last far longer than my previous cars. But the overall experience is so disappointing! I want to be able to enjoy infotainment system that doesn’t crash every other day (I have to keep logging into Entune 3.0 because it’s constantly logging me out!), Scout GPS is absolutely comical (it works the first 3-5 minutes and dies! You expect me to reset and put my destination back while I’m driving!? NOT SAFE!!) Pandora plays well but then gives me error messages so randomly (kept thinking it was because of my LTE availability but realized it plays just fine on my iPhone). So now I have $25K plus vehicle that’s less than a month old and the only thing I use in my “infotainment” system is the FM radio. Should’ve bought a Honda!

    They can’t seem to get this app right. I have a I phone X and when Apple did their latest update it really messed the system up. When you plug in the USB port the Entune just goes grey can’t even use the system. Scout GPS is a joke it won’t even do what it’s suppose to do. I have spoke to Toyota numerous occasions and they said they are working to resolve the issue and they are blaming Apple. I wish I would have bought another brand of vehicle. I have had the car since October and it has not done what it’s suppose to do. I have a 2018 hybrid. Toyota needs to read their reviews they need to listen to their customers. There is not a lot of peyote bar I have found that like Entune 3.0 as there are too many bugs in system. I wish I would have got a built in GPS system. It’s a shame that they can’t get an update to fix these issues. I wish Toyota would go to Apple or google maps. They are the only major brand that doesn’t offer that. Please fix Toyota.
  • This system hates Pandora.

    Complete waste of time and money. Artwork on pandora doesn’t display via Bluetooth unless you’re in Park, or unless plugged into usb, but if you want to use Scout GPS at the same time as plugged into usb, it disconnects pandora from the car stereo and only plays out the speakers on your phone. The only way to view maps in Scout is if you have it plugged in via USB, but then you get the issue noted above. If you get a call and answer it through the Entune system, it disconnects pandora. If you get a text and have entune read it to you, it disconnects pandora. If you start driving too quickly after starting the car, you get a pandora error message and it doesn’t connect without restarting the entune app. If you breathe on the console, it disconnects Pandora... but seriously, this is ridiculous and it’s been a problem for years. Toyota needs to completely fix this or just give us Apple play for free.
  • Entune is horrible

    Like many others I would give this rating a zero. The car is a great car but the entune app is horrible.. I initially thought it was just me, maybe something I done, but now when I look at all these other reviews, it's literally the exact same issues I am having, everything is greyed out and useless when u use the USB port... In addition the navigator continues to speak directions when I turned it off by pressing cancel on the screen so I can use my iPhone reliable instead and this causes confusion because both navigators are talking but there is nothing on the car navigation screen....just weird... This is actually my first time owning a Toyota and although Is a great car I felt recieved on this entune system, if continues I will not be a customer for life... Will sell my car and go to another brand with better infotainment system. Just not acceptable!!
