This is because you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We will help you download and install Pearson eText on your computer in 4 simple steps below:

1: Download an Andriod Software emulator for Windows

The importance of the emulator is that it emulates or immitates an android environment on your computer, making it super easy to install and run android apps from the comfort of your PC without buying a phone that runs android. Who says you cannot enjoy both worlds? To begin, you can download such an emulator app made by too top dogs in the space.
A. Nox App . OR
B. Bluestacks App .
Personally, I recommend the "B" option as Bluestacks is very popular so if you run into any trobles using it, you can find good solutions on Google or Bing (lol).

2: Now Install the Software Emulator on your Windows PC

If you successfully downloaded the Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe, go to your Downloads folder on your computer or anywhere you ususally store downloaded files.
Once you have find it, click it to install the application. It should start the installation process on your PC.
Click Next to accept the EULA License agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application.
If you do the above correctly, the Software will be successfully installed.

3: How to Use Pearson eText for Windows PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and locate the search bar. Now type Pearson eText in the search bar and hit Search. You will easily see the app. Click on Pearson eText application icon. A window of Pearson eText will open and it will display the app in your Emulator Software. App Reviews

  • Better than my school LMS integration, but missing key functionality

    By H36th3r
The Pearson integration into my school’s learning management system is horrid and provides a very small window view for the e-text. This app is leaps and bounds better than that and looks great on my iPad. But this app is seriously lacking in navigation. When I go to the TOC, only the first two sections are listed under each chapter even though there are many more sections available. Also there is no “go to page” feature. So the best I can do is use the table of contents to get to the second section and then flip through the pages until I get to where I left off in the textbook - possibly 30 or 40 pages! Also the timeout feature is very quick. If you leave the app to grab lunch when you come back you are back at the textbook selection screen instead of the page where you left off. Leaving you to painstakingly navigate back to your last page via the method I just described. I could do without a go to page function if at least the TOC was fixed to show the full TOC.
  • “Subscription expired”

    By geebers4biebers
I bought MyMathLab from in order to use the textbook because that was the least expensive option for my broke college working two jobs self. My professor does nothing through MyMathLab I seriously only bought it for the textbook access. 5 weeks left to go into class I go on my iPad to access my book and it says subscription expired, but on my Mac I can see it perfectly. I uninstall the app and reinstall it. I restore. My iPad and set it up as new without a back up. Nothing. I contact Pearson support and I am told that I should access the text book via my “pc or laptop because the app is unreliable.” Are you serious. For real Pearson. For real. If you’re reading this I really hope you put in a fix for that because it’s frustrating. At least if I’m mad at Apple I can tell myself I have other tech companies to go to. If I can’t access your stuff, my only option is to submit because my school uses your textbook.
  • Good, not great, just needs a few specific fixes

    By Disgruntled Xavier
Overall, this app is a solid eReader. It makes your school text much more accessible and helps you to be able to study wherever and whenever you want to, however the interface is buggy and the synchronizing across multiple platforms is subpar. The app doesn’t synchronize notes or highlights between multiple devices, such as switching back-and-forth between your phone and your iPad. That forces you to always use the same device to study and make notes on, or else be forced to go back and forth to compare what you already did on your other device. Also, even reopening the app from the background on standby, the app constantly reloads itself and opens up a random page in the book you either were never on or haven’t been on in weeks. It’s very annoying to have to go back to the page you were on previously, rather than to have remember the page you were on and to load it automatically like a good eReader should. Other than the bugs and the glitches, it’s a solid app and has some great potential.
  • Expect for something more

The app works great when I first opened it and signed in. They show my book list in my Pearson account. Take a while to download one book and if you leave the app, it might pause or just stop downloading. I have to go back and stay at the app to complete downloading. I was trying to download my A&P book and Genetics e-book but then for some reason when I open the e-book for A&P, it's actually the Genetics book. =.= I'm just speechless. How can they make such an app for e-book on ipad like this while everything was A LOT better when you access online. I hope they update the app soon.
  • Terrible

    By isc25
We pay $100+ for an etextbook and the app does not even work as it should!!!! How is it possible that I downloaded the pdf of the book on the app on my iPad, and every time I leave the app (even for 1 second) it says “You have no books on your bookshelf”. I don’t understand!!!! The point of downloading a PDF is to have it basically permanent on your device to access wherever you are. Since I apparently have no books on my bookshelf, I have to log out and log back in for my PDF to be there again. So tedious. Fix this as soon as possible. If not, we should at least have the option of downloading the PDF straight to our devices and not have to go through that useless app.
  • Not user friendly

    By Guak21
There is no option, on the app, to show only active subscriptions and exclude the expired ones. The website does have this feature, but the app doesn’t. I don’t want to sift through all of my expired eTexts to find my active ones. The app should separate these to make it easier on the students. Support said there is a button on the app, but there isn’t. It’s only on the website. Please add this feature. It is also difficult to flip among the pages. Can’t we get a page scroll like Kindle and Nook?
  • Wonderful

    By minecraft_alltheway
This is truly wonderful it took me 10 minutes to download each book and I could work on assignments from one book while another downloaded. This is so much simpler than having to drag around my laptop I can just pull my phone out and read away!! The only issue is that not all my books are there. So I’ll just look into that, but over all totally worth the time guys!
  • Miserable to navigate

    By raserrano1989
The idea behind this app is great. I am a nursing school, and my books combine to over 3000 pages. I am so happy I don’t have to carry them around BUT this app doesn’t let you navigate very easily. It doesn’t allow you to directly go to a page. That is so unfortunate. Professors usually don’t say read chapter 1. They pick and choose sections and pages they want you to read, and this app doesn’t allow you to navigate through the book in that manner. I hope the fix this soon.
  • Update is STILL unusable

    By Smrtsmrf
The first update a little while ago refused to load my bookshelf. This new update seems to finish loading the bookshelf, but it won't show up unless I navigate to a different page and then back. But then, I can't open my books! I tried deleting the book and re-downloading. It gets all the way to 99%, then says "syncing..." Then it says "no internet connection available" and the result is that the book is not downloaded. But I DO have an active internet connection. Test your crap guys. This is A HORRIBLE way to start a new semester

This app needs a way to hide textbooks you are not currently using. That or a separate “favorites” bookshelf in which only a users desired textbooks are visible. As an instructor, I see at least 100 titles on my bookshelf. At the moment, I am regularly looking at 5 different books. There is no way to sort or filter these five books. I just have to scroll and hope I see the cover without passing the desired text. Please fix this.
