This app help me to know what time the bus/metro train arrive at the stop and where it is at on the route(automatically refresh every 30 seconds)! Also it will tell if there is any delay on the route so I can avoid the route and use alternate bus/metro to get to my destination and knowing that I need to leave the house early! Also it will have the list of stop of the route in order so you know how many more stop till you have reach your stop!

My main issue with the app is the way it displays the next busses arrival time. “8min | 40min | 58min” can get confusing when checking the arrival time multiple times. An option to display the estimated time of arrival instead, say “8:50am | 9:22am” etc. would be very clear. The other issue is the flux in the actual arrival time compared to the estimate. One must study the map and observe and become familiar with the speed and location of the bus on the map to predict if it’s on time or not. This is not easy.
  • Only as good as muni time updates

    By Mestiza582
I think this app is linked into Muni which has predicted times of arrival, NOT real times. So if there is a problem for some reason, the app will tell you everything is on time because it doesn’t know. Example: the app and the muni sign at the stop said there was a muni coming in 10 minutes. Then at 0 minute the app showed the muni at my stop. (No muni) Then both muni and the app went to “muni arriving in 10 minutes” So 20 minutes standing when I could have just hopped on a scooter!! ***There should be a way to have real time updates.
  • Really?

    By Glenn94619
I can see exactly where my Uber is. I can follow my food delivery from the restaurant to my home. Why can’t someone track a 30,000 lb bus with just a hint of accuracy? Predictive times are wildly inaccurate and swing like a pendulum if they show up at all. I bet if we replace the AC Transit logo with Google’s, we could track our bus accurately within 50 feet. Will somebody PLEASE step up and support the folks that are trying to do the right thing by taking public transport? Isn’t this worth the effort? This app is 3rd World and belongs in a “Things gone wrong” museum.
  • The old version better

    By Kingئ
I wish you can at least update for the iPhone x and fix it because sometimes at doesn’t show the right time for example at say 10 more minutes for the bus one minute later it say 5 more minutes that makes me upset 😡 and scared because I’m going to be late for my work and I have to wait for the other bus so please fix it and thanks 🙏🏼
  • So many missed busses

    By Joaquin333
I would like to thank NextBus for convincing me that time is, in fact, relative. Busses often go from 15 minutes away, to 20 minutes, then 10, then 2, as the the false sense of security given by this app leads me to do other things (the other option would be just waiting at the bus stop). Which is all to say that a bus schedule would probably serve the same purpose with a similar rate of accuracy for a lot less money.
  • Bad

    By noodlehello
This app is so unreliable and confusing that you genuinely have better luck just winging it and hoping for the best. Sometimes lines suddenly disappear from the app, sometimes they aren’t listed to begin with, and best of all is when you walk to the bus stop after establishing the bus will be there in five minutes only to look back at the app and realize the next bus won’t be there for an additional 34 minutes. Very disappointed.
  • What's the point?

    By XcbX
Recently the quality of bus positions has dropped considerably. I don't even get eta anymore. At this point offers no value above Google Maps and, in fact, is worse if you end up making decisions based on inaccurate position info. I've used this app for a few years with mixed results but I'm about to give up on it. Unless the quality (for ac transit in my case) improves dramatically over the next week it's bye bye NextBus.
  • A very frustrating experience

    By Alekhi
Don’t download this! This app doesn’t seem to work so well. Phantom trains are going down the map, bouncing icons all over, and incorrect time estimates when the trains are actually present moving. It’s especially hard to use if you’re close to the end of the line. It detects trains sitting at the last stations that won’t be leaving for 20+ minutes, but the app says they’re 3 minutes away. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!
  • Liked old version so much better!

I’ve been using this app for years & really like the old simpler interface better. The new interface is harder to read, not as clear when glancing at it on the run. Fonts are not as bold, hard to see for nearsighted people.
